    Dehydration, uncomfortable due to heat, sleep deprived and he still manages a 1036lb squat, 584lb bench and a 830 deadlift, absolute monster.

  • @JohnKatsTV

    I agree with that last bit about younger lifters. All these kids jumping into knee wraps nowadays with sub-500 pound squats, because they like the fact that they can immediately add weight to the bar without getting stronger. I feel like kneewraps should be reserved for the highest level. That's just me.

    • @PlatinumPerfections
      @PlatinumPerfections 8 років тому

      I only do so to deal with a injury to my knee, it helps with the pain aswell as allowing me to squat safely without the risk of further damage. Other than that i agree with you. Its just that some circumstances force one to use some sort of support.

    • @OgNightcrawler
      @OgNightcrawler 8 років тому

      if wraps are going to increase your squat poundage and you are still hitting good depth with good form and training then why wouldn't you use em? even if you are handling sub 500, the wraps *used correctly* will help to apply progressive overload. should everyone be in wraps quickly? not necessarily, but if it works then use it to your advantage

    • @JohnKatsTV
      @JohnKatsTV 8 років тому

      Weight Warriors I agree that they can be a useful training tool within reason. Should a sub 500 pound squatter jump in some Lilliebridge wraps? Probably not the best idea. I think utilizing a lighter wrap in conjunction with raw squats (sleeves/bare knees) can definitely benefit most people. I just see too many kids using really stiff wraps in nearly ALL of their working sets.

    a monolift can give you up to 20%... come one malan a monolift would give you close to nothing bc you are used to walking out heavy weights. letting monolift squatters walk out there weights might affect them though, but not by that insane margin.

    • @OdinsKoch
      @OdinsKoch 9 років тому +3

      +alpiwiththe bigballs Bro do you even....? Walking out with 470kg is insane. Also, it is really hard to find your strong squat position with that weight on your back. So he is right, huge difference between a monolift and a rack squat.

      +Witcherworks Vegans are nazi food. When i receive a vegan at home, i do a vegan meal for him. When a vegan receives me at his home, there's only vegan food. Vegan are not pro-pro, they are anti - cons.

    • @Witcherworks
      @Witcherworks 9 років тому

      jean ferrat well could you look at the scenario openly. Vegans are about using less to give back more. Shouldn't you be happy that he has food for you? That's a pretty selfish situation. The only reason you have vegan food is because you eat Your food and Vegan food as well not because you went out your way.

      17MXT Let me be specific. Andrey didn't hate. He showed mad respect just like most people do from OTHER countries. The question was added in there as Satire. It obviously has nothing to do with him and was only used to throw a shot at vegans. Lets be serious here please. I have much love for Andrey. Also keep in mind he is speaking from a BIAS perspective. So many decades of brainwashing to finally bring vegan/vegetarian athletics to the table.
