What type of game is it?
@alphagodvon turn based RPG, made for PC in 2004, with early PS1 level graphics. But what it lacks in visual fidelity it has in spades charm, good writing and characters, a really neat combat system lifted wholesale from the obscure PS1 JRPG trilogy Popolo Crois, and a magic system lifted wholesale from FFVII's materia system. What makes the franchise itself unique is that the whole franchise tells a single larger narrative that is interwoven between the narrative of the individual titles. So there are tons of returning character, plot arcs, and locations, and playing them out of order will just confuse you. It's like reading Harry Potter book 4 then reading book 2, you need to follow each game in release order to really understand the greater narrative. Much of the mysteries of the franchise will be resolved in the new game Kuro no Kiseki 3: Farewell o Zemuria.

Yes! There are a smattering of functions triggered by pushing the System Button in combination with other buttons. Push the system button down and hold it to see all of the shortcuts.

If you press and hold the … button and press the left stick up, the screen gets brighter. If you press the left stick down the screen gets darker. Also if you only hold the … button you get an overview of the combinations 👍
