You should totally react to the full Introspective album. It's a club record but a thoughtful one. The 12 inch versions of "Domino Dancing," "Always On My Mind" and this are better than the single versions to me. Plus you should really check out the opener "Left to my own Devices."
Hi Dereck. It's Alright is one of the many hit singles by The Pet Shop Boys. The lyrics haven't aged a bit as they deal with global present-day issues, showing the band can also address serious, sociopolitical topics. Kudos to these eye-openers who broaden our minds as responsible citizens who can change things and make the world a better place. Keep up the good work and take care, Dereck.
Though this is a cover version. Originally by Sterling Void. They covered it for their Introspective album but then gave it an extra pop overhaul for the single release.
This is one of my all-time favorite Pet Shop Boys songs. You should hear the 12" remix from the Introspective album, it's incredible. What a wonderful group from such a wonderful band. True artists.
*I can't let this track go without paying full respect to genius producer Trevor Horn. No matter whether he's working with the Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones, ABC, Robbie Williams, FGTH, Yes, or any of the many other artists he's produced over the decades, he brings out the absolute best from any artist. Bravo! Trevor Horn.* *It strikes me as amusing that the current generation think that the queen of double standards (Greta Thun'der'berg), is the first to speak out regarding global warming and climate issues, yet the Pet Shop Boys were doing it (in a much pleasanter way) here back in 1989. The concept of the video by the way, was; **_"We are holding the future in our hands. If we care about our children, we must also care about the world we expect them to live in"._** So true then as it is now. Peace x*
Hello Dereck, this song is proof that we have it in our hands to offer the new generation a future. All over the world, that's the message.Pet Shop Boys music is of course real 80s.It's really good!!!😊😃
2 non u.s. single releases you should react to are RENT from 1987 and HEART from 1988.not all of the singles were released in every country. these 2 are puzzling to me as to why there were not issued here for radio. they are great songs am sure you will like
I love how you inadvertently say can't take my eyes off. Pet Shop Boys have a great mash-up of "Where The Streets Have No Name (I Can't Take My Eyes Off You)". Check it out.
Neil Tennant (Pet Shop...) and Holly Johnson (Frankie Goes...) they seems like 2 brothers, at each time I see one in video I think to the other and the reverse of course. :)
Hi Derek , I didn’t really want to sign up and start an account with you tube but I finally have thanks to your reactions , I love them so thanks 👍 and yes I love this song !!
Great seeing, great analysis. I don't know how this popped into my head but another song you should react to that I think you'd love (that I've never heard anyone react to) is St Etienne - He's on the Phone. Also Lightning Seeds - Life of Riley (make sure it's the 4.05 minute version though) is well worth a listen.
Love Pet Shop Boys music but had never heard this one. You need to listen to "It's a Sin", and they have a cover of Elvis Presley "You were always on my mind" that I love. Their music used to be played on dance clubs so much! Their "Domino Dancing" video was done in Puerto Rico!
You did good looking at Neil Tennant's locks here in 1989, it's the last music video of the band where he has them. He cut them off the next year in 1990, ah ah. This song is good but I prefer the album version, I miss the dance house piano synth of the album version. But the music video is cute with all these babies. It reminds me of "A Question Of Time" by Depeche Mode, also a music video with babies released 3 years before in 1986. :)
For the real fans, we know they like to talk political and social issues in many of their songs like My October Symphony, Intregal, Indefinitely leave to remain, London, Don Juan, The Theater 🎥 and many more!!
so amazing reaction!!! hope one day you could react to other great song from them! i think you will like to hear"Vocal" - "happy people" - "new york city boy" some of my personal favorites.
The PSB version actually gave a boost to the original which later charted. PSB's seem to be able to take other artists tracks such as "Go West" by the Village People and make even bigger hits out of the original track.
Hi Dereck ! Do you know East 17 ? You should react to their song " allright" or "everything gonna be allright" or something like that. Thank you Dereck !
The Pet Shop Boys are just genius with their masterpieces of songs!!!
One of my absolute PSB favorites. An underrated gem.
Agreed. Amazing 👍
Not so underrated in the big picture. Introspective was a very successful and valued album.
J adore les Pet Shop Boys 💕
Masterpiece.
Thank you 🙏 this is my all time favorite song by the PSB. ❤️

One of my friends is one of those babies, I’m so jealous of him.
Their 80s singles are synthpop masterpieces.
You should also check out their next single release from the year after this, 1990; "So Hard". Wonderful black and white video to that one as well.
Really love this one!!! From the great album Introspective
Great album from 1988.
Ah remember playing this on repeat getting ready to go out back in the day...
I love this song. I was there at the time. Its very very 2022 too ...
Fantastic. Awesome song and video. One of their best hit.

produced by TREVOR HORN (Propaganda, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Art of Noise 1983/84 )

Hi Dereck, you know Lisa Minnelli’s album that the Pet Chop Boys wrote to him with especially « Losing my mine » 1989 👍
He actually has a great reaction video to It’s a Sin.
You GOTTA react to their " TWENTY SOMETHING" it's a hidden gem. 🔥🔥🔥

This was a cover of a house song from 1987 by sterling void and Paris brightlege, good effort tho by the P S B"s
so amazing reaction!!! hope one day you could react to other great song from them! i think you will like to hear"Vocal" - "happy people" - "new york city boy" some of my personal favorites.
It's alright - REmiXes and ExtEndEd it´s so good.
Derek very good videos. You should make one with "loves comes quickly" from PSB.Thanks
React to pet shop boys - we all feel better in the dark live performance! It’s a piece of art✨
More PSB Dereck 🙏🏻🥰🇧🇷
PSB are brilliant 💓
pet shop boys should hav stuck to their 80's style.. The 90's generic electro dance turn was harsh for a lot of artists in my opinion 😢
🎶💗🎶
A cover of Sterling Void & Paris Brightledge - It's All Right (1987).
If you like early house music, you’ll love the original! Check out Someday by CeCe Rogers!
The PSB version actually gave a boost to the original which later charted. PSB's seem to be able to take other artists tracks such as "Go West" by the Village People and make even bigger hits out of the original track.
PET SHOP BOYS-IN THE NIGHT,DISCO 1986.
Try Luna park or Burning the heather for something totally different.
The endless version of Somewhere: ua-cam.com/video/ffBSNyBWTSw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=PetShopBoys-Topic
Hi Dereck ! Do you know East 17 ? You should react to their song " allright" or "everything gonna be allright" or something like that. Thank you Dereck !
давай больше Pet Shop Boys
I've always thought 'It's Alright' as one of their weaker tracks. Doesn't particularly do anything for me, and I'm a great fan.
when are we going to have a reaction to Kate Ryan(air) Desenchantee?
Pet Shop Boys It’s a Sin and Being Boring (edited my brain fart)
Being Boring
0:56 that aged well
I like the Pet Shop boys, however the original version sung by Sterling Void is Way superior..👌
not as good as the original by sterling void
Pet Shop Boys are ligit.....!!!
