Okay..... I'm mesmerized!
very nice Gris! I like the voids.....
Thanks for the video! I think I'll just leave the sonotube in place, after the pour. If I want to remove it later, my guess is it will be as soft as wet cardboard and come off a lot easier. :)
Hello, thanks for the information video. Where do you get the “stone rasp” and “big stone tool” shown in your video?
Have you ever tried spraying/painting the inside of the tube (before pouring the concrete) with a concrete release agent ?
Thank you. This helped so much
What's the best way to get the tube off when the inside is stuck on the concrete after you peel the tube??
How do you make the cement like white
Do u color it add color before you mix it together ?
Guess you could leave it all intact if the tube sits just below the ground right?
I think you would only remove in cases where they are exposed and would look bad. If buried what’s the point?
Concrete guys are always so buff🤣
Picking up heavy shit all day will do it .👍😉
What if you placed the wet forms on a table with a fairly cheap vibration motor attached to it during the filling and drying process to eliminate all the air pockets🤯
For those of us who can't press 100's of # how do you think it would work if I made it hollow using a smaller tube inside. Because that has got to be very heavy
You make a great point Sharon.Yes you can ,and I do as well for other projects.I just wouldn't do the dry mix ,on a thinner walled pillar you need to keep the integrity of the concrete. You could also do this with the piece being on the ground on a piece of melamine or plywood.I find it easier for myself to take it off the table ,and yes it is in the 200lb range.I might do a follow up vid and bring up your question. Thanks for your input :)
Did you grease up the inside prior to pouring the conctete?
No need ,the sonner has a no stick suface on the inside of the tube.
Why not just lightly spray the inside of the tube with some cooking spray, essentially waterproofing the tube which would prevent from becoming saturated and sticking
What, no biscuit dough???
You must be at least *this big* to wear the free shirts from bodybuilding.com in public.
I would love to try this but I don't think I'm strong enough, I would have to find me a man with big guns...haha
Lol ,Oh c'mon Martine .
Ok, so I don't pull off the "damsel in distress" very well...lol
Haha ,you're not bad :)
