I'm sorry, but telling us that they are all great doesn't help.
None are inherently bad, the choice really depends on your needs, preferences, and budget. If money is no object and you want the best, buy the Nvidia shield.
I'm currently using a roku ultra in our theater because it plays well with control4, upstairs we're using Amazon Fire TV because we have a lot of echos, like the voice control and having doorbell come up on screen.
Colton has Apple TV in his main room and a chromecast in a different location where the cost of 2nd apple TV would've been cost prohibitive.
I've got friends using all of these devices, one that games a lot and has a plex server raves about Nvidia shield, personally I don't use those features so it's not worth the cost to me.
So yeah... They're all great options depending on your needs
Thanks for saving me the time
Speaking from experience you should review firesticks after a few months use, I've had over 10 amazon firesticks over the years and their performance drops pretty rapidly after a few months, I've always wanted to make the switch to a different brand but never known who to go for as one thing Amazon always do firesticks really cheap on certain days of the year.
We've had these all in our homes for almost an entire year now, longer for some of the devices. I haven't noticed any performance drop with our Firestick TV or Roku Ultra.
you should go in the settings and clear the cache on all the apps, it will help speed it up
Same here brotha just reset to factory defaults it’s sucks but it saves them 100% I agree with u man
I had a fireTV stick for about 6 years, and I just noticed that it started taking up more and more bandwidth over time regardless of how many apps and files I regularly deleted... I eventually had to stop using it since any time it was on, I lost all my wifi bandwidth on all my devices...
Come from a chromecast user since 2013 I wanted to switch to a another streaming device. I been wanting to try a fire stick for a while now but since I read your comment I could I’ll pass on the fire stick. Chromecast is good, works well with a lot of streaming services. Just want to try Roku and Apple TV.
i've been using the google chromecast 4k for about 6 months and recently decided to try the fire stick 4k max..there is
definitely a improvement in clarity over the chromecast, picture quality just looks more crisp..not a night and day difference
but there is a noticeable improvement to my eyes..my tv is just a entry level 4k tv and it does help the overall picture quality
when streaming movies..the one thing i do miss with the chromecast is being able to cast movies and everything right from
my smart phone..
There are mirror apps you can use
Whoop dee doo. . . Nvidia Shield (Hard wired), Kodi, Real Debrid, A great, complete Build (Red Zone rated #1) & a great VPN & high speed internet & you have EVERYTHING you'll ever need, PERIOD!
@@BrandonDoyleMN Not when you take into consideration all that comes with this combination & the $$ you'll save in the future-especially buying cheap import after cheap import streaming boxes & paying subscription fees & PPV costs for big fights, UFC/MMA, & movies etc. etc. It's an investment that ultimately will pay for itself. Real Debrid is 45.00 a YEAR, & paying that subscription fee makes streaming all that they host legal & worry free!
Kodi is dead, many Apks accept real debrid credentials.
I appreciate you guys making this informative video. Recently just bought a new house after this compared video I can choose a most suitable tv stick.
Glad it was helpful!
I really like Roku for having a few dedicated buttons
agreed, using the app on your phone as a remote is also really nice
Fire stick and Apple TV do you have apps to use as remotes same as Roku
It would be nice if you did a comparaison of IPTV for Apple TV 4K. You could compare ISTB, IPLAY tv, GSE smart tv pro.. Lots of information for android on IPTV but not Apple TV. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Which one doesn’t have adds? I’m done with fire tv.. no matter what my parental controls are at there are inappropriate content being featured. The straw that broke the camels back was drag kids being featured for the past week.
@@BrandonDoyleMN update** I purchased the newest Apple TV 4K and I am blown away. The only time it showcases content is when you actually select an app, and even then it only shows my continue watching list. I’m finally in control of the content being shown in my house. I’m actually going to buy another one today for the upstairs. Highly recommend
We love Apple TV, so much so that we forgot to bring it to the studio the day we recorded! Glad it is working out so well for you
Very informative, thank you!
What is best for live tv watching. Sports and shows. Not into gaming. Price doesn't matter.?
The best of the best is and will be Nvidia Shield TV Pro, nothing compare to it. Please
@@BrandonDoyleMN And a whole lot slower lol!
@JULIO MENESES - You said it dude! NOTHING ELSE EVEN COMES CLOSE! ALL TOYS LOL!
I canceled my Amazon prime account. So that causes Amazon devices be limited.
I couldn't live without my Prime subscription. Next day & 2 day delivery, Prime only Lightning deals, Prime video. . . And I just got a 75" Fire Tv for 699.00 that is out of this world! Been a member for 8 years, & they've never let me down. Customer service gives VIP treatment to Prime members. My tv does it all, & then some including built in Alexa, on & off, which is amazing! If I can't get it from amazon I get it from side load 3rd party apps. To each their own I guess.
The Apple TV box in the video is fake. How did you test the Apple TV?
Nvidia Shield Stomps it kills everyone up there.... everyone should know that... Nvidia Shield does everything including 4K gaming(pc also) running at 60 frames and expandable memory so you can load thousands of apps if you feel like it... and like all the other ones it doesn't get slow after a couple months... and for some of the ones starting on sale sometime the 29 bucks you better believe that if a unit cost at the highest $199 there's a huge difference in performance you get what you pay for.
Yeah its a powerful device, though some people don't need all those features and want a more affordable option for just streaming their favorite movies and TV shows
Nothing touches the shield. I have multiple devices for different rooms in my house but the shield in the living room running iptv Ethernet connected is just light years ahead
@@sethbartosik9533
Agree 100%. Using the sluggish Chromecast with Google TV 4k, or slow FireTV Cube (1st gen) or Roku Ultra then using a Shield TV Pro. It is a night and day experience. The Shield TV Pro just souch more pleasant to use.
@@sethbartosik9533I have the formuler z11 pro max and honestly prefer it more over the Shield pro. Only downside is no upscaling
What is best when the priority is youtube, movies, tv shows, browsing ect, not concerned about gaming much, not worried about price.
I like fireTV & roku a lot for those purposes
@@BrandonDoyleMN Thanks.
You're missing the TiVo 4K fire stick which I think is way better than most of those that you have in this video....
The TiVo has more memory and is a lot faster....
Amazon fire stick is adding too many restrictions so I'm done with the fire stick
Which one has remote that controls tv and a remote that has volume and will play Tubi and you tube
They should all be able to control volume on the TV as long as you don’t get the really cheap versions. Just look at the features list or the picture of remote. The latest versions of each play youtube, there are some older generation Apple TV that don’t support it but all the new ones do. Not sure about Tubi, I’ve never used it but I’m sure you can check the box, product listing or website to see if that’s one of the available apps
What's the best for IPTV?
Formuler x11 pro max
I have the goggel tv and i love it
Google TV is a great option!
How do you connect directly to a FiOS router without having to use wireless (I.e. Ethernet)?
Hard wire it with an Ethernet cable. If it's not close by then move it so it's right next to your setup.
Can you access CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business with a standard broadband connection using the ROKU or the Firestick?
Yes with the corresponding app, a subscription may be required though
I have the Nvidia shield 500 GB was thinking of switching to Amazon Cube. Wondering how the new shield compares to the Cube?
There is also a new version of cube since this video published, so I wouldn't have a fair comparison for you but have enjoyed using both platforms
I find the Firestick 4k very slow compared to the Roku streaming stick 4k.
it's interesting how the speed seems to vary for some people, as we've had other comments that say the opposite. Personally I use the Roku Ultra since it does dolby atmos, plugs in direct to network and works well with our Control4 system in the theater. We've got a firestick TV in another area of the house that works well for that space too
@@BrandonDoyleMN what if people's firestick moves slow because of the amount of content on screen page?
Nvidia Shield TV pro is the best
Does the Roku have a Jellyfin and Plex client ? Also do all the Rokus have an Ethernet port at 10/100/1000 mbs ? All i need is yotube , Jellyfin and Plex. I already have a server running Plex and Jellyfin service
No Plex on Roku that I’m aware of, just the ultra has Ethernet. It works well for projector setups as it can be controlled via Ethernet. We use ours with our control4 system in theater. Not sure about Jellyfin, not familiar with that. Hope you found answers you’re looking for
Which streaming device is best for slow wifi router connectivity? I’m trying to avoid as much buffering as possible with live TV streaming.
They will all perform about the same, I'd recommend upgrading your router if you can or move it closer. You could also consider a direct ethernet connection if that is a possibility
Does your router have WPS button?
Find a wifi extender with WPS button and connect it to your router.
I did this in Mother's room. She kept getting buffering because her room is far from the wifi router so I got an extender and synced it to my wifi router.
She said she's never had buffering since I installed the extender.
@@TheAgentAssassin I wish I was your mother!
I did buy the Nvidia Shield and found the remote to be very slow and unresponsive even after changing the batteries, don't know why but I couldn't get anything bigger than 640 x 480 on my Toshiba LCD TV, have returned it and now looking for an alternative
Well that is unfortunate, you'll have to let us know what you end up going with. Lots of great options nowadays
That remote drives me crazy especially trying to take off the back of it! And the remote batteries go dead way to fast! I just use my regular tv remote to control it instead
I bought a Roku streaming device but I didn’t find peacock channel and paramount and showtime couldn’t play
Which streaming device would you recommend to play those 3 channels ?
I have all those on my little cheap Roku express
I think you just need to add them
Can you use Roku on one TV and upstairs use a Firestick? I have 5 bedrooms and I'll need five controllers won't I?
Without doing video distribution from a central location you'd need one per TV or move them. We actually use roku ultra in our theater at firetv upstairs
I don’t have any problems there with tv in adjoining rooms. Cheers from Australia.
I know this question is a bit late, but I'm looking for a device that'll let me pause, and do frame advance which I seem to do more than a bit on my Directv receiver?
I believe the NVIDIA & Apple TV both have this ability
I love tubi
Thank you.
Thanks
Welcome
What is a streaming service?
Companies like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max etc.
@@BrandonDoyleMN That in no way answers the question.
Good video
Any roku is junk cause its not open source n too limited I'd never buy roku anything
How are people losing remotes in one room?
Couches can get hungry! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching
Children
R.I.P. Stadia
U missed two great devices the onn box n mecool km2 are amazing devices as well
Good Vídeo
Nvidia shield is the way to goooooo
If your budget allows, and you're into gaming or want to setup a plex server then yes. For a lot of people it is overkill
I wouldn't call it overkill especially for IPTV streaming, you always want the most powerful device. I have used android boxes, firesticks, cube after time they don't work as good or you get some buffering, since I got the shield I never have those issues and that's awesome especially when it's annoying when you are watching TV and it starts buffering
Do not buy Nvidia shield
I had two different models both broke with in 6 months
Wow, thanks for sharing your experience. We haven't had any issues with ours and it's been about a year and a half
HBO MAX!!!!
Heck yeah, we're currently watching the 2nd season of the white lotus, just watched don't worry darling last night. There are so many good series on HBO Max
@@BrandonDoyleMN I know. I Love WL and HBO!!!
A lot of useless talking. How about which device supports HDR from UA-cam? Just an example. Wasted pulp.
I don't agree with much said in this video? The speed of the Apple TV far surpasses that of the Fire TV Stick I have both. And the Shield TV does not have WiFi 6 in it.
I have all of these devices except the Nvidia shield, but I do have a Tivo Stream. My Apple TV 4K is not faster than the Fire Stick 4K Max plus the Apple TV OS sucks.
@@deman19901 That's your 'opinion' having used both the Apple TV IS is far far superior, and doesn't have endless adverts either and it performs way better. I have the 4K stick before the Max.
@@marksapollo It does a poor job of integrating all of your streaming services. It gets even worse when you factor in live TV. You have to open an app for pretty much everything. Like I said the OS/interface sucks. My Apple TVs have pretty much turned into glorified PAPERWEIGHTS.
@@deman19901 Actually you're wrong, it has a screen highlighting all the latest shows and links to shows your watching without opening any apps. And every single streaming device has to open the relative app to okay the media, that's a fact. So again the Apple TV is superior.
@@marksapollo Learn how to spell. YOU'RE wrong. The top row has your frequents and that's it6. As for the other streamers having to open am appo....You're a liar. If I am looking for a horror, all of the horror monies, from Netflix,HBO Max,Hulu,Prime,Starz etc is all integrated in the OS in one location. Like I said, TVOS sucks, Apple TV and ROKU used to have the worst OS. Roku fixed most of its issues in OS11. Which leaves apple TV with its horrible interface.
Nvidia Shield TV pro is the best
Until that last update now it sucks
You need to grow a beard like your brother so your double chin doesn't Show. I have a double chin myself.
Do you have a beard?
@@KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven nope he has a double chin
