      No razor tail. On a maple deck. A dream.

    • @Dodgeram1500hd
      @Dodgeram1500hd 2 роки тому +9

      Less razor tail than a standard deck, if you skate indoor parks a lot, you could use it for a few years in that environment, The streets will eventually raise your tailor but I think you could get a solid 6 months on the street on one deck, I manage that and I snap wood decks about once every 3 days. And yes, before you ask I have had multiple capsule decks. They are 100% legitimate

    I would love an indestructible deck. Being over 200 pounds and learning I've broken decks. Maybe it's helped though because I really focus on landing over bolts. I would love more commentary on how well they actually skate.

      it will just always feel bendy especially for you at 200lbs....depending on how you ride of course. If you're always just over the bolts it probably won't lose it's stiffness

    I've been skating one of these for years now, I am just now replacing it, and it isn't broken, but my hardware is super recessed into the deck material from years of tightening the trucks. Definitely recommend it (I'm 215 lbs. and stomp my tricks) the slight flex that it has actually makes me hurt my feet and ankles less.

  • @antimatter4733

    I feel like people are missing the point, it's the equivalent of a paper bag vs a plastic bag. Sure a paper bag is better for the environment, however its not nearly as durable, and 5 paper bags are worse for the environment than 1 plastic bag. So if the board lasts 5x as long as a wooden board it's probably better for the environment.
    Also it's not just the trees that determine the environmental footprint of a board. Even if the wood is sustainably sourced (which it might not be) you have to account for the energy required to produce the board, transport it and dispose of it. Finally you have to account for the damage that using the land for agriculture does to the environment.
    So at a minimum it'll save you money, and possibly be better for the environment depending on how long it lasts you, from what I've seen I don't see how you'd destroy it with normal use, so I'm inclined to believe it's better for the environment

      There is no board that doesn't get razor tail. I don't popp a whole lot on my capsule board, but even that one has worn down a little bit over this entire season.
      What it doesn't get is chipping the way it happens in traditional decks. That means these capsule decks wear down a lot less and you lose a lot less material over time.

    • @epr8974
      @epr8974 2 роки тому

      I honestly think the car stunt is nowhere near enough to break most boards. It looks cool, but even on a flexy traditional deck I feel like it's more likely that the trucks bend rather than the board straight up snapping.
