Advanced Market was buffed a few months back so it gives a market wagon. It didn't used to but now the timing is a lot better. It's a viable card and I'd even say it's a good choice for Portugal for shipment 1 over Feitorias. It's always been decent for some civs because you can sell like... 4000 food for coin before it starts to become questionable and the kicker? When you run out of food and have better coin gather rates, you can sell it back for food efficiently. If you focus on one gather rate at a time, you can macro very easily and save loads of villager seconds. It's just three vills is so dominate that the returns are iffy unless you are dedicated to gathering one type of resource. Anyway considering coin gathers almost at half the rate food does for Lakota and you've got to build a tribal market place, it might as well be double. So even trading 125 food for 100 coin (and that's the starting rate without advanced market) is still a good deal and with advanced market you get to that once food has been sold 25 times. (2500). It's only when you get to say, 150 food for 100 coin that it starts to become questionable but by then you've gotten 5000 coin from the thing. Yeah. Utterly insane card and potentially better then three vills in some circumstances. I've tried Livestock builds with advanced market. If you can pull it off, it's very strong.
That food conversion to 1.20x gold then back to food at favorable market rates was amazing, basically an instant +1,200 resources from a single shipment???
Saw it on stream a few days ago, went on to play Lakota since then. Wonder if we'll see more Lakotas on the ladder from now on because I didn't match any.

It's builds like these that make me prefer AOE3 over AOE4. The card system just creates so many opportunities for builds that even years later we're still discovering new strategies.
Always had males, but this female dog is the best! They're awesome. Then Haude also have the Coin Trickle card - I've tried it. But they don't get infinite hunt like Lakota or Canada so you'd have to get Cows from Ranching and so it would take so much more work to get going. Best just to use Haude on Finland or something with OLDENBURG for Hunting Expeditions on your Boat Boom. Feels really good with infinite whales for those Musket Riders + forest prowlers! Also do people watch AoE II, because Saracens are the Market Abuse civ of it & those players are dirty for it.
It also needs absurd gather rates, a civ with great hunter and spice trade plus tp is about the best case scenario. Another thing is that (outside of vil sec conversion) it allows you to to maintain mines around by using up the hunts, which isn't an issue since Lakota can send infinitely many hunts in age4

Even for short treaties, market improvement techs can be situationally good.
The age4 mexico cow card exemplifies that.

i used that card in 2V2 with dutch and just went full coin production, worked well too but i don't think it was that good !
