[AOE3] This Dutch Eco Is Ridiculous

I use every unique church tech for Dutch in this game. Eco vs Eco, who wins?

I think the big thing is getting all those boats on the water is super expensive, he went 2 Frigates and 3 galleys really early, 3 Galleys before your caravel and 1 Frigate before your Fluyts. That's super expensive. 1200 res for the galleys and 2000 res for the frigates, that really slowed down all his timings.
Especially since he didn't need them essentially and way overkilled his water protection.
He only had 1 tc as Otto which is kinda dumb since you get free vils from tcs. Think of all the tcs he could have built with all the wood he spent on water

Ya, exactly. I think he reacted very strongly to just scouting my deck. Sometimes scouting decks can be a bad thing as you aren't actually reacting to what's happening on the map.

It would have worked out much better with defensive 🛡 play, as defender's advantage would make for better trades until the investment pays for itself.
Presumably Kerimb has been playing too much and the irrational aggression which comes with being tired set it.

Usually kerimb only goes for the 2 galleys shipment and builds one so age 3 a frigat shipment isnt enaugh but he overcommitted cuz he had to def both sides thats for sure. But if it was a one side water map kerimb would likeley have won

Really great game and well played, I think you had him when the musks went under the tc though I think going 17 Ruyters there as a timing could have sealed that momentum.

You got an absolutely disgusting amount of value from those blue guards and stradiots. 5 cav archers and two falcs for 3 muskets, another ~20 cav archers and two more falcs in his base, then *another* ~10 archers and 5 spahi.
30 muskets and 5 stradiots killed off ~30-40 cav archers, 4 falcs and 5 spahi. Just costwise, 3k res + one shipment vs 2 shipments (+1k for spahi), 4.5k-6k res in cav archers.... You were up like net 5k res on that.
Absolutely right, him pushing your base at that moment lost him the game. He never got a critical mass to oppose your muskets until they'd got a crazy amount of value.

Pushing while booming doesn't work well.
I just presume Kerimb has been playing too much and the irrational aggression 😡 which comes with being tired set it.
Also, that single Priest helped keep up with the fish 🎣 economy pretty well. As it is basically a factory 🏭 worth of value while it has something to heal.

Sometimes, whenever I'm playing and go for yet another FF into timing push, I wonder if I'm not being so predictable that everyone in my ELO bracket knows what to expect the second they see my name.
Then I remember that Kerimb has been playing the exact same civ and strategy for...actually has anyone actually ever seen Kerimb do anything new? Point is, outside of Dota, I don't think I've ever seen anyone be as dedicated to the one civ as him.
But hey. That's why you can't ever hate Skynet.

why go berries at the beginning ? don't they gather slower than hunts ?

On this map there is a treasure that gives those berries the same gather rate as hunt

I find it funny how ottoman players with barely any game knowledge can get ridiculously high elo, just because otto is completely broken. If you know anything about dutch you wont spam cav archers against them and the blue guard follow up in age 4 is incredibly obvious after the red lancers. He should have mixed in humbaraci to the cav archers and he would have wiped the floor with that army, even if you sent heavy cannons, humbaraci have a broken 2x dmg multiplier against them (for some reason, while other grens have 0.5x).

I was actually just thinking yesterday that I haven't posted a loss in a while, and I like to have some in there. It can be tough tho since I don't play a ton, and if I get on a good streak, I may only lose a few games. If those losses are short or not exciting, they might not be worth posting. I do want to keep videos unpredictable, so thanks for the comment.

Tactics and strategy are very important in aoe3. He knows some good strategies very well with lots of practice, but things don't always go great.
