As Rege Jean Page said when he hosted SNL, "Who knew everyone was just waiting for me to say I burn for you." *I* certainly enjoyed it. And I love your reactions, as usual.
WOW! this episode😍 I do think the Prince was a good person and should have been perfect for Daphny but he was also a little boring. Simon is fun, interesting and HOT🔥🔥. Loved the wedding night he was so gentle and loving with her because he knew she knew nothing about sex. (thanks mom) It's just a show but I found myself feeling like I should not be watching such an intimate and private moment between two people in love. Great Job actors!
The non communication got so frustrating towards the end but I’m glad it was the breaking point for both! I’m just sad they went thru the wedding celebration in such misery that could have been avoided!
The scenes with Benedict are setting things up for S3 when the show is about him. He's someone trying to figure out who he is and what he wants. Also living beyond society is something of a theme in the 3rd book.
5:54 In the book, it is 100% clear that Daphne did lure the Duke into the gardens just as Cressida described, but it's also clear that Daphne is in love with the Duke because that's what she tells Colin before she interrupts the duel. But many fans try to justify Daphne's behavior even though she stated in the very first episode that is not something a lady would do.
I actually always thought Simon didn't want children a) for revenge against his father reasons but also b) because he might've thought his "condition" the stuttering is something his children could inherit. Even though we know that's not the case but I think back then it would be a reason to be worried to have children if they end up having health conditions which to the society makes them look like idiots.
Love your reactions, as always. :) I recommended "A Discovery of Witches" to you a few months ago, and thought you might enjoy a new TV show called "The Nevers". Steampunk Victorian Britain and some mysterious powers thrown into the mix. :)
I saw a trailer for the Nevers and it looks really interesting. We aren't adding any new shows right now cause we already have tooooo many, but it's definitely one I want to watch.
@@LofiandJinxie "The Nevers" is a very good show, I can only second the recommendation. I loved "A Discovery of Witches" too (very well made book adaptation).
I thought it's funny that Eloise's actress is like 6 years older than Daphne's. Also Jane Austen died pretty broke. She didn't make much money from her works when she was alive and for the gentry they were not that well off. They had to move around and live in poorer areas.

Simon's pin was his mother's, I think he wears it with all his outfits
That scene where Simon and Daphne finally talk and have sex is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen on TV ❤️

So true on all points. It does make for some great tense viewing waiting for them to both spill the beans to each other, though.
Definitely my favorite episode

You guys have the best reaction\ commentary for Bridgerton ! I love how you comment on everything
I’m 😢
I think if Penelope would have told Colin and he would not have minded and married Marina regardless, that would’ve broken me.

Yes you are right on point b).
In the book Duke&I Simon and Daphne talked about this.Daphne reassured Simon they would love the child regardless .
Such a sexy episode!! 🤭🤭😍😍
So true, and done in such a perfect romance novel way!
The character I fell in love the most in the whole series is the Prince. He's so cute, adorable, handsome, kind 🥺❤️
I really liked him too! He was so sweet.

Have you heard the musical??
I haven't! I think someone mentioned it before, but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. We really need to sometime soon.
