It's crazy to me that I expected Paul to be a better player in general because of how he battles w Alcaraz, but he normally lets me down, when I see him play just about anyone else. But I know, there's always a potential unique dynamic, between any 2 given players.
@@paoloromano6264 ok, Indian Wells round of 16 2023, Monte-Carlo round of 16 2023, Rome round of 16 2023, Cincinnati round of 16 2023, Beijing semifinal 2023, ATP Finals round Robin 2023, three of the six matches when to three sets. I watched every match and they both played like they were going to kill each other, they have openly said they don’t like nor respect each other at all. If that’s not a rivalry idk what is.
Objectively speaking it should be in the top 3-5. They played like 5 matches and a few of them were very close. But god their matches are so hard to watch.
Be fair. Matches between Novak and Holger are always so competitive and it's always 3 setter. The both move very well and fight for every ball no matter the score. Everyone talking about Sinner and Alcaraz and forget how good Rune actually is. It's seems similar when no one take Novak seriously to be danger for Nadal and Federer because of his physical and mental problems... until 2011. Maybe same will be with Rune. I like him and wish him all the best. For the crowd he will be dark character like Djokovic i tell you.
Rune has everything. everything but the results. people talk about Alcaraz and Sinner because they have results. Rune may indeed bloom late like Novak in 2011. until that day comes...he will stay on the sidelines
@@yousifkhalil9655 bro i know what you mean but to ba fair what more Sinner achieve than Rune. Has more titles yes, but both have 1 Masters 1000 title and Rune win it after defeat Djokovic in the final. Rune has few bad months but with Boris he will be better than before.
If we’re talking exclusively ATP, Djokovic vs Alcaraz probably shouldn’t be on here. They only played 2 ATP matches this year, and their best match was at Wimbledon (a grand slam). I think Djokovic/Sinner’s Davis Cup also doesn’t count for ATP, so they only have 2 matches: one that was really close but didn’t matter because it was in group stages, and one that was a blowout for Djokovic. Sinner/Medvedev is the easy #1 here
Paul Alcaraz is always such a fun match
indeed
I can’t really think of a rivalry Alcaraz has with anyone that is boring though tbh
