- Prince Harry has been condemned by the Taliban after the British royal revealed in his memoir that he had killed 25 people in Afghanistan when he was serving as a military helicopter pilot - describing them as “chess pieces.”
The prince's book 'Spare' went on sale in some bookshops in Spain yesterday ahead of its global launch next Tuesday - in which he discloses the depth of the rift between himself and his brother William - and other revelations such as his drug-taking.
To brag about killing people even during war is so pitiful.
Calling the taliban people is insulting to people, the atrocities they committed are unspeakable

It was a dark, shameful subject, and he had to be really drunk to talk about it. He killed two men and one dog, and he never got over any of it. Harry is not like that. Harry is untouched.

Never known a veteran who told people how many people he had killed, and I grew up in a military family.
Harry needs better guidance in his public life. His mother did all she could to shield him and William and he seems to be doing the opposite with his own family. Sad to see such attention seeking from him.

Not once in all those years did l ever ever hear anyone discuss any of these issues or say anything like you have, they where so remorseful and even regretted killing the person they were at war with and still screaming out in pain as they still remembered the fear in their eyes, what and how they killed them and could not forget the horrors and pain they caused, some where even heavy sardaited with drugs to heal their pain. And the stories they would tell were of remorse and losing their dear loved ones and friends.
Some were good stories some bad, they were all loving and all living with their own demons in their heads and sometimes the screams could be heard all the way down the corridor still suffering from shell shock, some with incredible injuries even hard for me to bear to look at.
War is a terrible thing Harry on both sides both fighting for their beloved countries , dont forget some of these people did not have a choice to go to war there were forced.

My ex partner was in the army. He could never talk about his time in Afghanistan. He respects his privacy on the topic. The only way he found he could talk about it was writing it down in a diary. And even then he would only allow me to read snippets.

I think this statement was another big mistake of Mr. Harry. Killing people is not a reason for praise and is not something to be stated in a public space, even if you had to do it once in a war. All people of this world have a bad side in them, but also all have a good side either, regardless religion, political view, nationality, race, etc. All of them have loved ones and when somebody is killed, someone else is suffering. Many times the survivors can look for revenge as well. Cause no human is a chess piece.
