A question. On pretty much every older iPhone or iPad I have, when I go into control centre and adjust the volume and brightness with my finger. When I reach the top or bottom, the animation is quite choppy. Please make a video on it.

Battery goes fast with 18.2 on 15 ProMax. It’s, overall, slow too. Links open be water but don’t actually navigate where they’re suppose to. You have to select link twice to work. One of the worse updates I’ve seen as far as stable.
I have a couple of bug requests outstanding. My icons lose their graphics over time until I touch them and wake them up. I also added 3 hardware security keys and now it continually asks me to add security keys.

I have never experienced that before. Anyone else experienced that?
Mine have. Kind of like the volume level when you activate Siri. It’s gotten better now, but the first few days both my phone was over heating and freezing and the AirPod problems. It all seems to be working now like it fixed itself. Weird

It makes you wonder, when does Apple start development on new versions of their operating systems? I know bugs are expected with a beta, but I thought Apple does developments in tandem, so iOS 19 would be in planning and code starts checking in December and I am sure there are features being developed in parallel with an aim for the version after.
The most recent update for AirPods Pro two must have fixed my AirPods because for the past three months, I have experienced horrible whistling in my left one when I had noise canceling enabled and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I was starting to think that they were going bad. but the most recent update must have done something because it stopped in the past week! On one hand, I’m glad it stopped on the other hand. I wish they would stop breaking things with their updates.
@evangelinewandering9547 mine wasn’t hissing it was like feedback in a high frequency and it hurt my ear it was really annoying. I don’t know for sure if it was the firmware that fixed it but it’s quite the coincidence it started many months ago around the time of the last update and ended right after this last update. I will tell you it was making them almost unusable, though at least with the noise canceling turned on.

I have IOS 18 beta 2 on my iPhone 11 and seems stable for the most part. Battery life however seems to be about 2 hours before needing to be charged. This is on a battery with 83% health. The phone also gets very uncomfortably warm during use

battery life is still shot. across ALL devices. iPad Air 5 iPhone 15 applewatch S8 its even bad on my M1 Air. beta 2 on the phone also has missing icon pictures. I haven't really noticed anything crazy on the watch besides low battery life. overall I can't wait till this is stable. its just gonna suck that I have. less than a yr with my iPhone 15 & I won't be getting all the AI features bc I don't have a "PRO" phone. so its like if you want pro features you gotta get a pro iPhone. way to go apple.
About RCS,I noticed when sending a text to an android, the first message is SMS and then switches to RCS. Any idea if this is how it will work? Hoping RCS will be available while sending a new message from the get go. For example, I don’t have international texting and if it works the way it’s working now, seems that I wouldn’t be able to text internation friends using RCS, since the first message seems to be sent as SMS and not RCS. Thoughts?

Actually, I was about to comment on the same issue and I saw the first comment regarding Apple Pay in India. If Apple Pay doesn’t come to India, then there is no problem. It is problem between Apple and Indian government, which will eventually get solved, but Apple should release tap and Pay feature for Google Pay in India after all, $50 or hundred dollars phones are capable of doing tap to Pay in India, and why is iPhone not?
It's just such a shame that apple stopped all the best updates in ios18 for EU. That's just shameful behavior from their side. There are just gonna be even more issues for apple going forward if they start doing like this. There are like 110 million user of iPad,iPhones and other devices in the EU a huge market. I think their sales on the upcoming 17 modell it's not gonna do so good beacuse of this. I think it’s some sort of glitch because it’s just one bank and one specific country. If it was anything more than that, I think you’d see it happen around the world.
I been having problems with my volume button showing it is being pushed when laying on the desk unlocked, not even being touched. I have an iPhone 15 pro max with the latest iOS 18.2. On the left it shows the volume button showing.
I said YOLO on it and installed iOS 18 on my main device and I have to say, it’s surprisingly good. Battery life is good, maybe a tiny bit degraded in some areas, but almost the same. Performance is okay, there are some slowdowns and stutters here and there, some bugs, especially with the new home icons and control center, and the settings app is slow right now, but other than that, not a ton bad. I love all the little changes so far and I’m excited for more dark icons to start coming.
RCS is the biggest update on iOS 18 wish apple would've fix the bad contrast of the green bubble giving a darker Green this contrast they have is hard to read but they do that in purpose or just change RCS to purple and leave sms green but apple is a shit company.
Probably an anomaly, but I have an iPhone 15 pro with 100% battery health with a cycle count of 208. I got it September 27th 2023. Just thought that was interesting to share, especially being on the 18 Developer Beta
RCS is not working for me sending from Verizon iPhone 15 pro max running iOS 18 beta 2. Tried send to android device and it says “text message SMS” not “text message RCS” other device is a Galaxy
Battery life is better for me.. I still have random network drops even though I have network data off and WiFi only is on.. I have experienced the camera Lock Screen bug and the phone prompts you to send the info to Apple
I've been on iOS 18.2 on my iPhone 15 Pro for almost a week, and every day I find that the app images on my home page have all disappeared (it's just the grid thingy they have as a placeholder). Most of the time I can tap on the app and exit and find the image is back, but then it resets sometime during the night while I’m sleeping. Don't worry, I reported this already. I'm just surprised the YT peeps I watch aren't experiencing this issue. My Apple apps also like to stay in dark mode after light mode has come into effect (until I tap on the app).

Ive been using iOS 17.5.1 since the date of its release and I notice a major bug with the cellular connectivity, eSIM doesn’t work as expected, where I could use it for calls and texts but I couldn’t hardly find any signal bars on my phone, tried hard rebooting my device, checked for a carrier update, no use!😢
If you’re adding a card by scanning the chip, do you have to enter the pin? If not I can see security issues if anyone takes your card out of your sight, eg at a restaurant or gas station.
Probably, but none of mine were supported yet. However, it will only activate when you specifically go to add a card and it would have to be very close to your card, but I see what you mean.
On iPad RCS, it still uses the iPhone handoff instead of using the Cellular SIM number inserted on iPad (SIM card or eSIM). This is the same on Mac - just the usual handoff support
I have T-Mobile also, and my work is inside a warehouse where the signal strength is pretty low and internet data connections seem worse than ios17. I'm curious if its not changing to LTE or something. That seems like it might be the case but I'm just guessing. I reported it in Feedback
Since ios18 beta one and ipados 18 beta one Airplay to AirPort express stop working, with beta 2 same issues. A lot of issue with airport, time capsule and connectivity stop working. The very same airport utility logo is not updated to dark scheme as app store was.

I’m at 93% battery health for 279 cycles. Bought on release day, but I don’t tend to put much energy into what my battery health is to be fair.
My 15pro is at 100% for 225 cycles, bought on release day. I have kept such that charging stops at 80%

The size can vary, but it depends which version you’re upgrading from. It can be normal, but that means it just reinstalled the whole OS for you.

Beta one sucked so bad I had to downgrade my iOS back to 17.5 because messages and everything was glitched. Worst beta ever

Making my phone to over heat and drains battery like crazy
I said YOLO on it and installed iOS 18 on my main device and I have to say, it’s surprisingly good. Battery life is good, maybe a tiny bit degraded in some areas, but almost the same. Performance is okay, there are some slowdowns and stutters here and there, some bugs, especially with the new home icons and control center, and the settings app is slow right now, but other than that, not a ton bad. I love all the little changes so far and I’m excited for more dark icons to start coming.

RCS is the biggest update on iOS 18 wish apple would've fix the bad contrast of the green bubble giving a darker Green this contrast they have is hard to read but they do that in purpose or just change RCS to purple and leave sms green but apple is a shit company.

RCS is not working for me sending from Verizon iPhone 15 pro max running iOS 18 beta 2. Tried send to android device and it says “text message SMS” not “text message RCS” other device is a Galaxy
Battery life is better for me.. I still have random network drops even though I have network data off and WiFi only is on..
I have experienced the camera Lock Screen bug and the phone prompts you to send the info to Apple
I've been on iOS 18.2 on my iPhone 15 Pro for almost a week, and every day I find that the app images on my home page have all disappeared (it's just the grid thingy they have as a placeholder). Most of the time I can tap on the app and exit and find the image is back, but then it resets sometime during the night while I’m sleeping. Don't worry, I reported this already. I'm just surprised the YT peeps I watch aren't experiencing this issue. My Apple apps also like to stay in dark mode after light mode has come into effect (until I tap on the app).

Ive been using iOS 17.5.1 since the date of its release and I notice a major bug with the cellular connectivity, eSIM doesn’t work as expected, where I could use it for calls and texts but I couldn’t hardly find any signal bars on my phone, tried hard rebooting my device, checked for a carrier update, no use!😢
If you’re adding a card by scanning the chip, do you have to enter the pin? If not I can see security issues if anyone takes your card out of your sight, eg at a restaurant or gas station.
Probably, but none of mine were supported yet. However, it will only activate when you specifically go to add a card and it would have to be very close to your card, but I see what you mean.

On iPad RCS, it still uses the iPhone handoff instead of using the Cellular SIM number inserted on iPad (SIM card or eSIM). This is the same on Mac - just the usual handoff support

I have T-Mobile also, and my work is inside a warehouse where the signal strength is pretty low and internet data connections seem worse than ios17. I'm curious if its not changing to LTE or something. That seems like it might be the case but I'm just guessing. I reported it in Feedback
Since ios18 beta one and ipados 18 beta one Airplay to AirPort express stop working, with beta 2 same issues.
A lot of issue with airport, time capsule and connectivity stop working.
The very same airport utility logo is not updated to dark scheme as app store was.
