My daughter recently had a fender bender. I decided to repair the car myself after watching your videos. Fortunately, there was no frame damage, and I only had to fold a little bit of the front rail back into shape. I went to a couple of salvage yards and managed to find panels that were the same color as my car. I saved a ton of money versus sending the car to a shop. I wouldn't have had the confidence to do the repair without these videos. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Like my 2014 Nissan Sentra. If Tennessee law was different, it would have been repaired. The body damage wasn't that bad but because Tennessee's laws don't separate the airbags and seat belts from the estimates for body repair, the $4000 that are was estimated for the airbag, seat belts and all related parts with labor to change EVERYTHING as required by the insurance companies totaled an otherwise repairable car. What is even worse is that the Great Pyrenees dog that jumped out in front of my car hit the grille and the bracket that the airbag sensor was on. Because of that, a fairly mild impact set off the driver's airbag and both seat belts.
No kidding i would still have my 2002 gmc yukon xl only had light cosmetic damage on passenger side i saw scott rebuild one it only had 132000 miles statefarm totaled it it was fully loaded im still pissed about it 😡 nice build scott👍👍😎
Scott, the reason your cars sell so quick. Sometimes before they are even done is because you are such a perfectionist. That is is a great quality to have.
I think that is part of the FEDEX culture to see how durable a package is. I used to haul FEDEX loads from time to time and I can assure you that they treat the packages the same way in their warehouses.
Mr. Spotty is like your typical supervisor...always showing up when the job's almost done just to try and take the credit lol.... love the builds, keep up the good work!
I got a friend who tints windows and when he cleans the window before putting a film on he uses a few drops of Dawn and water sprays the window and uses a razor blade and scrapes the whole window down and it cleans the window wonderfully
I watch your videos always. You are like a car professor. I really enjoy watching your videos. Why do you always pick difficult projects? I wish I could watch you live.
I had a 2021 Range Rover that hit a deer and did quite the number on it. The engine bay wiring harness was damaged and needed to be replaced as soldering a new pig tail for the air bag sensors didn't seem smart. That wiring harness is built to the VIN based so not something that dealers just keep stocked. Catch was the wiring harness was manufactured in Ukraine, and this was back during the initial months of that situation. So after months of waiting for the harness to be built, and then several weeks of it making it'ys way through customs at multiple countries. It finally made it to my city, for FedEx to deliver. Shockingly the package went missing and we lost our wiring harness. After all that it was decided to total loss the vehicle and cut our losses. Freaking FedEx man.
I love that Honda sells all the little pieces separately, you never know when you might need that little piece...but it sucks when you need a whole assembly like the cooling fan, then you have to buy it all separately...i worked in Honda parts for awhile. I always gave discounts when someone needed a whole assembly like a cooling fan
38:39 as a Ford owner, I confirm... the POS has been standing still for over a year, ever since the Ford Engineering EcoBoom Mode took ownership of my 2018 Escape and it no longer works. Unfortunately, on the magical taco country, you cannot get the battery replaced by the Ford dr00g dealership because it is not covered by warranty as it is considered a disposable part, and it must be an original one with this fancy Battery Monitokill System. The cost of the new battery is so expensive, I'm surprised it doesn't come with another vehicle for free.
I’m glad to see your taking care of the sea turtles, by giving them a variety of different plastics for them to munch on. Atleast the haters won’t have that to complain about.
Scott it’s so enjoyable watching you repair and put an auto back on the road again, I don’t know if you get satisfaction watching the job come to completion, I remember when I worked in construction looking back at a house I’d built and saying to myself mmm that’s a good job the owner will be happy with it hope you feel the same, ps did anyone else want to swat the fly on Scott’s back or is it just me who doesn’t like flies 😊
24:12 those tamper proof screws. Back in my retail days we used those on a lot of stuff in the store...showcases and the like....only problem? It was a hardware store so you could walk over to the hardware section and steal one of the security bits to go over and remove the doors to the locked showcase lol.....
This may sound crazy but I think I'd have more confidence in buying a car from Scott than buying from the factory. I think at least I would know it was done right.
I bought a Ford a couple years ago where they put a clear sticker in the rear windows that says "Built with Pride by Union Workers in Michigan", and it doesn't lie flat because there's a bug between the sticker and the window. I kept it there. Kind of says it all, doesn't it?
You do such a good job, it makes me think I should try it. Then I realize that I would in no ways be able to match your skill, so I just watch, like, and subscribe. I have excellent watching skills.
You are lucky that the module only had tamper-proof screws. I have a part that has these one-way screws. You can do them up with a flat screwdriver, then you can't unscrew them. I will have to drill the screw out!
Man, I feel your pain with shipping. Ordered some coin batteries back on August 22nd and they arrived 9/6. They were shipped from a warehouse 18 miles from me and USPS picked them up on 8/22. That works out to 264 FPH or .05 MPH!
Guaranteed FedEx will drag it behind or throw all over the back of the truck all the way from the terminal to your delivery point, and toss it half way across the yard upon delivery! nice build BTW
Nice build. Best part, no rust. Good of Mr. Spotty show up on payday again. Is there anything special to align the radar unit. You are really going have to work on the hater tears. Should be half full by now. Thanks for sharing
19:25 one screw on each end of the bumper cover...now you know why in the slightest accident they go flying off to narnia!!! Bump into a no parking sign BOING off it goes.....
I enjoyed this build. I did zero work and was entertained the whole time. Now it’s time to take my ford for a walk… or a drive and walk home like it makes me do
That car would definitely suit a new car buyer. I'm sure it will be snapped up. I'd buy one of your cars but it would have to be FedExed to Aus and thus would be a write off ;-)
16:55 I bet those filler panels for the fog lights cost almost as much as the fog lights. Question: does the wiring harness come with the plug for the fog lights? I ask because I found out that (at least in 2006) Ford F150's had all the same wiring harness no matter which model you bought. No fog lights? harness had the connection in the bumper and behind the dash, just no lights or switch.
Couldn’t agree more about FedEx. They disappoint every single time. My favorite is when your package finally makes it to the delivery hub and seems to sit there for a extra three to five business days for absolutely no reason. Not sure how they manage to stay in business.
Scotts a secret Fedex fan really - just why are they soooo expensive when the service isn't quite as good as say a local delivery service like we have in the UK
More than ever, I am convinced I do NOT want ANY foreign make (no matter where it is "made". I just sold my first, last and only Japanese vehicle (Mazda RX2 Rotary Coupe).
Your quarter trim spacer tool ... I didn't see that on your Amazon store ... can you clue me where to pick it up at? Oh ... wait ... what am I thinking of? I've got several out in the garage. Sheesh ...
Here to share in the shade - I'm still trying to figure out how FedEx turned a double-boxed, heavily padded vintage sewing machine into a pile of shattered bakelite and cast metal.
Scott, you didn't torque the airbag computer case bolts! I'm not going to be able to sleep at night now! 😂 Great job. I was planning to do something similar on my busted electric power steering computer that I hit a rock with, but it ended up being soldered on the inside. So I had to swap the whole rack. But I saved $800+ over buying a new one from Ford.

I really enjoy watching your builds Scott! The perfect blend of knowledge, expertise and sarcasm! Makes my Fridays for sure!!
Thanks for the support!
Imagine how many more vehicles could be back on the road if more people had Scott's encyclopedic knowledge
Imagine how many would be safely back on the road instead of the hacks I've seen. Apparently his integrity isn't contagious across the industry =P
Imagine how many are on the road without the current owner knowing that their car has been crashed and repaired poorly
Like my 2014 Nissan Sentra. If Tennessee law was different, it would have been repaired. Mr Spotty back from holidays again. He seems to spend most time on holidays than working.
The life of a celebrity!
Why does that remind me of Joe Brandon?😅
@frimmbits Mr Spotty is probably one of those that belongs to a union, those guys never work and keep asking for more money.
Mr. Spotty is like your typical supervisor...always showing up when the job's almost done just to try and take the credit lol.... love the builds, keep up the good work!
Thanks for referring viewers to MyAirbags. They took care of my MX5 belt tensioner and srs module, seemingly did good work.
Mr. Spotty works hard! Once he is assigned a job he sticks to it.
Thanks for bringing us along on your build. Always a pleasure!
I got a friend who tints windows and when he cleans the window before putting a film on he uses a few drops of Dawn and water sprays the window and uses a razor blade and scrapes the whole window down and it cleans the window wonderfully

Wow, Scott, that’s one hell of a saga! Sounds like she was living way beyond her means.

this vid was a real treat, thanks. was unaware of tensioning seat belts or that modern cars are built like lego kits
I think you were cleaning because Mr. Spotty was nearby watching your quality control process. Nice video.
Dont forget you have about 30 cents of scrap cast aluminum too! Winning!
Interesting that Acura made those small changes on the new grills and bumpers. I wouldn't have known the difference just looking at it.
That makes two of us. 😂
Final job looks great. Radar sensor was likely on the junior's tech Ebay website same day it came off.
It's like a giant plastic puzzle!
This guy builds these cars back the right way!! Good video man.
I love it, if I hadnt brought a new 2023 QX-60, I would have brought this and saved a ton of money.
Another great video Scott! Now finish the Mustang.
Favorite part is the Fram oil filter commentary.
What no cavity wax in the doors. Ah such shotty workmanship LOL 😂. Great build as always 🍻
That detailing clay is some amazing stuff in my book it works wonders. It even works on rims.

Thanks Scott for the video. Good to see Mr. Spotty again.
Thanks for another boring build!! Have a great weekend. Peace!
@vehcor I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks, you as well!
Nice. I'd buy that even if I knew it was repaired!
I’m not stopping you, it’s on my website!
Friday, pizza and Scott fixing cars. Best way to start the weekend. Turned out great bud!! Cheers.

What I enjoy the most on your videos is your humor and ofcourse your skills.Keep Re-Building!!!

Always look forward to watching a Vehcor video...no BS is refreshing....

Kind of says it all, doesn't it?
I went to a local fair in pa last weekend and someone recognized my mr spotty tshirts
You do such a good job, it makes me think I should try it. Then I realize that I would in no ways be able to match your skill, so I just watch, like, and subscribe. I have excellent watching skills.
It's the why aim high , when you can aim low, in life, and you won't be disappointed syndrome
That SUV is one of the few Acuras that I do really like. 👍. Nice job.
Very nice, you must be proud of your work. I know from experience the Acuras are excellent vehicles, have had four..
What a fantastically sharp looking vehicle. Amazing work, as always, Scott!
Very Nice vehicle Scott! Very sharp. Hope you did well with it!
Excellent series Scott!!!
You are lucky that the module only had tamper-proof screws. I have a part that has these one-way screws. You can do them up with a flat screwdriver, then you can't unscrew them. I will have to drill the screw out!
This work is fascinating. I can watch it for hours. 😜

Great job Mr. BRUCE WILLIS
Great job Scott
Awesome build. I've owned a couple black vehicles. They never stayed clean. 🚗🚗🚗
I love your commentary on FedEx. I had them stealing all my firearms parts.
Nice better then new
Really enjoyed your video because of the details involved. learned quite a bit. Thank you my friend.
People know Scott's quality of work that beast will be sold in no time 😅
Need to make that a T-shirt Strength of 1000 angry mechanics torque spec !!!!
Good job I like watch you do rebuilds you do them right.👍
I will be amazed if it is not sold by sept. 10th! Nice job!…great deal👍👍
We just got a new SRS unit 2 days ago for an RDX we fixed. After waiting over 10 months
Very skillful man
Turned out very nice!
Guaranteed FedEx will drag it behind or throw all over the back of the truck all the way from the terminal to your delivery point, and toss it half way across the yard upon delivery!
nice build BTW
Thank you
Great Job
enjoyable as always,thanks
Mr. Spotty sure doesn't say much but he has intense focus.
Nice build. Best part, no rust. Good of Mr. Spotty show up on payday again. Is there anything special to align the radar unit. You are really going have to work on the hater tears. Should be half full by now. Thanks for sharing
They see me cleaning
They hating
They trying to catch me riding dirty
Nice job again, thanks.
Thats very nice car , nice job fixing it back to new condition !
Let afternoon crew put the cars back together after repainting 😁 she can handle it 👍
Happy Friday, Scott!🍻
19:25 one screw on each end of the bumper cover...now you know why in the slightest accident they go flying off to narnia!!! Bump into a no parking sign BOING off it goes.....

Scott..I really hate how these cars are plastic hand grenades...and the prices of parts..wow!..great job as usual
That car would definitely suit a new car buyer. I'm sure it will be snapped up. I'd buy one of your cars but it would have to be FedExed to Aus and thus would be a write off ;-)
It's gonna be as good as new . Don't change I like you just the way you are. Entertaining as usual .😮
Love his 130 mph pits

Oh no i can't let that happen. Hate hate hate. Mustang . Mustang..That should put one of two drops in the bottle.
Good job sir . thank you.
Scotts a secret Fedex fan really - just why are they soooo expensive when the service isn't quite as good as say a local delivery service like we have in the UK
Always fun.
Never thought I see the day Scott use a Fram oil filter.
Nice build. Bet it will sell within the weekend.
I think you'll get the price you want on this one; what a find! +1 Like
More than ever, I am convinced I do NOT want ANY foreign make (no matter where it is "made". I just sold my first, last and only Japanese vehicle (Mazda RX2 Rotary Coupe).
I like The snapping sound 😂
I have a 2008 GMC Acadia and the blower motor for the heater stays on when I turn the key off? Help....
Great videos! I watch every week.
Car looks Damm good.
Your quarter trim spacer tool ... I didn't see that on your Amazon store ... can you clue me where to pick it up at? Oh ... wait ... what am I thinking of? I've got several out in the garage. Sheesh ...

Has Mr. Spotty asked for a raise?
That Dealership lives up to the nickname stealership.
it feels like Scott worked in an automotive assembly plant in a prior life
