Hi I have a completely new tq 6519 receiver, which is not working correctly in terms of the reception signal. after 10 or 20 meters the car does not react. thanks for the help
A better view of what you where soldiering would have been nice my receivers have two solider spots I wanted to know if the mess was supposed to be soldiered separate from the the main antenna or are they both soldiered together on each spot
I zoomed in as much as possible without distorting the picture. They are separate solder points. The one closest the the pins is for the antenna connection. The point furthest from the pins is just to hold antenna in place.
Thanks for watching. Yea it will that is why I don’t cut antenna just reuse from another receiver specified for a particular vehicle. If I have one anyways. 👍😉😁
Without a range test, this means nothing. You'll always get a connection that close. I once snapped the silver tip off of Mine and had to exceed around 20 ft before it lost reception. I still have, but no longer use that receiver and its broken off tip, to this day.
just cut the shielding back 26mm or 32mm (EXACTLY) so just the PTFE insert with the actual antenna is out.. you don't NEED the silver tip or all that extra wire.. the only part that is the antenna is that center wire surrounded by PTFE.. just make sure the wire you have out is EXACTLY 32mm or 26mm.
The reason you can’t just extend is for range purpose. If there is a break in coax it doesn’t continue and will definitely affect range if it connects at all.
Can anybody help , my antenna broke off all the way down at the receiver box , the receiver on tracxas website comes with an antenna? It only shows the receiver box with out the antenna
Hey thanks for watching. At the time we had an extra laying around. As well I could be wrong but I believe soldering this type of cable messes with its integrity. 👍😉
It is pronounced ... Co Ax ... not cokes ... The first connection is for the antenna ... the second connection isn't just to hold the wire ... it is the ground ... and if you're going to do all that, why not add a SMA or -RP-SMA connector , which gives you the ability to add an upgraded antenna
@@LETSPLAYRC I peeled off a lil from the end and dammmm it really improved the range by triple but I didn’t do the 3 inches like in the vid I only did like 1 inch
Your method did save my receiver!!! thanks a lot
Very glad it helped. 😁thanks for watching. 👍✌️

Will Ia shortened antenna cause less control range?

Thanks, my tip broke can go like 30 feet lose signal tull I walk closer, ordered new receiver. No broke one to still antenna from. Lol
You did cut that to 31.23mm ... right? THat is the proper length for a 2.4GHz antenna with 3/4 wavelength
Does it have the same range?
Yes it seems to have good range like original
@@LETSPLAYRC What is the length of the end of the antenna that no longer has black wires on it?
@@charlesbourget3047 it’s about 1/2 -3/4 inch
@@LETSPLAYRC merci
@@LETSPLAYRC et le petit bout de métal est-il important et où il irai ?
Tony Gauvin can we get a closer look at the board to see where its to be soldered
Where the antenna is touching on the metel if you look at yours you can notice ot
I wish you can fix spektrum receiver
Does it have to be 2.4ghz to 2.4ghz only

You are absolutely correct. As soon as I get the chance I will be conducting that test. Thanks for watching. Take care. 😁✌️

Does it matter which you do, if it does how do you know which length to go with the bare wire.
thanks very helpful👌
Thanks for watching. Happy to help. 👍😁
How come you can’t just extend the receiver wire? Why do you have to open it?
The reason you can’t just extend is for range purpose. If there is a break in coax it doesn’t continue and will definitely affect range if it connects at all.

@@tjgetem3783 if you buy the whole complete new receiver it should come with antenna.
Thanks for your video guy !
Thanks so much for stopping by. 😁✌️
why didn't you just solder the two together?

@@LETSPLAYRC crap now you got inside my head, off the google search hahahahaha
there is a difference between cables, solid can coax can't ,

Not gonna test te range?
I cut my antenna to make it short now it sucks can’t even go far lol
Yes the length of the antenna is important for Range. That’s why we used the antenna of same length from a different unit.
@@LETSPLAYRC I peeled off a lil from the end and dammmm it really improved the range by triple but I didn’t do the 3 inches like in the vid I only did like 1 inch
We are happy to hear it has worked out for you. 👍😉
