It is so true. Everytime I have a question and I type into google I get linked to this guy. It is really neat that people who weren't around when he was alive are able to come in and discover his channel and learn. I cannot IMAGINE how tough this hobby used to be before youtube
Been searching for a video on this to fix my brushless kraton for a few weeks and yours was the exact one I needed...then I realised you had passed....rip dude fly high and thankyou for helping me sort my problem.
can you show a video on how to make these type of antenna ? I'm curious as how the process works for these little doges. feel like itd be a similar process to connecting an rp sma
Thanks! My antenna has been wrong for years! The nozzle from my Dust-Off is the perfect diameter for protecting the stripped end.(Good thing I save them!) Don't know when I'll be able to test it (weather)
Hello, my x8r receiver has burned. I was wondering if there is a fix, do you know who or where does it fix? I know which component burned, but I can't find the circuit diagram to change it.
I think it's important to tell your viewers that they don't want to cut all the way through to the center conductor; they only want to cut through the outer insulation and the outer braid shield.
heloo bro i have a problem with v911 pcb board. i mistakely puted the battery minus to plus plus to minus.. so my servos are not working now.. do u have any solutin tanks alot..
Does it have to be exactly 31.2mm or can there be a little wiggle room? The original exposed wire is slightly shorter but in the manual thing that can with the receiver it says that it's 2.408 to 2.475 GHz.
No, the XM and XM+ actually uses a smaller connector. Instead of UFL connector, search for IPEX. They look like this www.banggood.com/10X-150mm-2_4G-Receiver-Antenna-IPEX-Port-For-FRSKY-JR-p-1046122.html?p=3827048207257201612A
Arent you going to loose signal strength through those ufl connectors instead of directly soldering them onto the receiver? PS: Still waiting on the Taranis Antenna-Mod video :P
Silo Holy shit. I dont know what to say. I have watched his videos for one and a half years, learned everything i know today from him. We talked very often in the comments and i was the one who told him about the omnibus flightcontrollers when they came out. I was so happy that he actually used them after we talked, until today. I could finally give something back. I am speechless...
hi..the lenght of antennas should be same on both sides or is it OK to have one antenna longer than the other? what matters is the exposed end of the antenna, right? thanx
i have a poenix defender handheld monitor that the antenna ripped out of and i can find how or where it would go inside. I see a couple leads labled E1 and tp58, but not sure how to proceed. can anyone help me ?
No disrespect to JC, but those of you that still learn from his videos, as I do, I came across some more recent info about the length. It seems the math he briefly shows, that many use, to get to 31.25mm doesn't take into consideration that radio waves travel at the speed of light in a vacuum, or void, but not through wire, which has impedance. So this guy claims better signal at closer to 27mm, and many antennas on the market are right at that length. Something to think about. ua-cam.com/video/8iBoRNyrrPM/v-deo.html
The fact that you still keep providing solutions to our problems, is just amazing. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Once again you help me. Rest in piece my friend
Still using your videos my friend. RIP. You are missed.
You had so much information to teach. Rest in peace.
What happend? I just wanted information now im sad :(
edit: I figured it out. Rest in peace, he seemed cool.
every time i need to fix an antenna i come back and watch this video.
The true guru of drones
Rest in peace

Hi, My FC short
It seems my Matek R24D elrs Receiver also dead
Do you know how to check which part broken in the RX?
Thanks! My antenna has been wrong for years! The nozzle from my Dust-Off is the perfect diameter for protecting the stripped end.(Good thing I save them!) Don't know when I'll be able to test it (weather)
Fantastic. Just found your channel. Subscribed.
And how to calculate how long it should be for other brand receivers when they are not all the same even they are 2,4 ghz they are different.

Wherever you are, thanks !

Great channel.Keep up the good vids

the pack of 20 antenna wires that you have suggested, will they clip right on to the XM+ ?
No, the XM and XM+ actually uses a smaller connector. Instead of UFL connector, search for IPEX. They look like this www.banggood.com/10X-150mm-2_4G-Receiver-Antenna-IPEX-Port-For-FRSKY-JR-p-1046122.html?p=3827048207257201612A

Unbelieveableman ;D This youtuber has sadly passed away in a motorbike accident. R.I.P.

Yep just the exposed part matters. Other than that they can be different lengths.
thank you
Thx a lot I just trimmed mine a little and got more range back .

my fly sky antennas are super long. can i just trim them down and then expose the antenna like you did?
McNasty TheReaper yeah
damn i've destroyed half antenna because i didn't know this trick xD thanks a lot
can we use it for quadcopter
An sh Semwal yes
NICE! Well done. Bookmarked!
If reciver antina little bit cut then what will happen
So would this make my rc get its range back??
Yes. If the antenna is cut
worked perfectly thank you
thanks a lot, JC!

Бывает что длинна умышленно короче, когда на входе антенны стоит конденсатор. В таком случае это "улучшение" будет хуже работать..
thank you!
thank for all.... RIP...
Rip
😊
rip
The maths is fake How can the speed of light be in meters per second and the length came out in millimeter
Wrong math
Rest in peace
