Sahih Sunan Abi Dawud 67 Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri: I heard that the people asked the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ): Water is brought for you from the well of Buda'ah. It is a well in which dead dogs, menstrual clothes and excrement of people are thrown. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied: Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything. Abu Dawud said I heard Qutaibah b. Sa'id say: I asked the person in charge of the well of Bud'ah about the depth of the well. He replied: At most the water reaches pubes. Then I asked: Where does it reach when its level goes down ? He replied: Below the private part of the body. Abu Dawud said: I measured the breadth of the well of Buda'ah with my sheet which I stretched over it. I them measured it with the hand. It measured six cubits in breadth. I then asked the man who opened the door of garden for me and admitted me to it: Has the condition of this well changed from what it had originally been in the past ? He replied: No. I saw the color of water in this well had changed.

It’s so fun comparing the Jewish version of Ibrahim stories and the Islamic version. Avram vs Ibrahim. So much similarity, nearly all the same events. But with different nuances, conversations, and commentary. Very refreshing.

I never knew the full story of the Prophet Ibrahim. I have heard mixed messages regarding Sarah, and Hagar. One was an insinuation that Ismael made fun of Sarah. This was the reason Allah ask the Prophet Ibrahim to take Hagar away. The other story was a referral saying that The Prophet Ibrahim told Ismael’s first wife to give the message, “saying remove the carpet from your front door.” To me, it's very important to know the actual truth. I took great comfort in knowing how Allah kept the Prophet Ibrahim cool during the fire. Allah is truly more than a friend to all of us. As time goes on my only hope is to be strong and God-fearing like the Prophet Ibrahim. I am so amazed by this incredible human being. Allah knows best.

The story reminds me of the experience of growing up in a family that celebrated Christmas. When you are very young and start to realise it doesn’t really make sense for a fat stranger to come in the attic of every person in 1 night with gifts but your parents try to keep up the charade. Until the moment you toss the cookies in the trash bin and they still tell you Santa ate them, then we all have to accept the truth and accept what was pretend.
The signs of Allah's love for a person are as follows :
1. When Allah loves someone he puts them under trials ( the more righteous they are, the harder the trials) in order to purify them.
2. When Allah loves someone, he gives them the"understanding" of the religion of Islam.
3. Whomever Allah loves, he deviates them and their heart from disobedience and sins..
