Looks like they are running pretty thick. I would add a tad more water to keep from getting a mud ring !
cable tool drilling TOOL WEIGHT is everything, smaller is not better, unless you have a year to drill the well.

Dam! And here i was like 5 or 6k isnt so bad for this. Not even close....its a good design but 69k is a bit much.

What drill contractors that you know are charging 100 dollars per foot for water wells?
6k would hardly cover the cost of a new trailer with nothing on it.

To start off with, I am a retired driller myself but my experience with Air Rotaries greatly outnumbers my experience with Cable Tools. I would love to come out of early retirement and get back into drilling. I am in Tennessee and Love the simplicity of Cable Tools.
Who is the manufacturer of this nice looking Cable Tool rig? Where are they located please? Do they have a web site? How long/tall is the mast fully extended?

I would think if large cable tool rig takes weeks to drill a well then this would takes several months to make one well !

So this is not a drill? It drives a well like a hammer?used to be lots of rigs around that drove wells like this

So other then cable length, why can't this drill 600 foot?
You've got that right -- really the spool and the amount of cable it can wrap without infringing on other surrounding hardware is the limiting factor.
@@LifewaterDrilling so can a bigger drum be put on it?
I ask because most water here is 500 plus feet.
I know I didn't believe it was that deep either. Especially since they claimed 80 years ago water was close to the surface. Truly it was a scam back then.
But after seeing the sub surface ground formation. I understand why it so deep.
Cracked solid limestone 500 plus deep.
Good thing is it shouldn't need casing. Since its solid fractured rock. Except where the oil is above the water. But thats another story.
@@baddog9320 yeah there are limitations currently to subbing out a larger drum, but it is certainly being explored... that being said, currently the stated depth limit (based on how it is manufactured and what we will stand behind) for the rig is 450'.

Problem with this rig, is driller is sitting in chair! This is because its not drilling. If it were drilling and making footage, you would be on drill line brake at all time.
MORE weight in cable tool is everything. Less weight is no results. Nice toy, but not practical as larger full size cable tool rig. ALso no boucing betty ( top shock cushion to take blow ) without this rig will self destruct.

What? 70K??? I can buy a big cable rig bucyrus-erie or a speed star with the truck and welder for less than that and still take the wife out to dinner! Nice though but not that nice!
