I quite like the look of these. The GT bling transforms it for me. Don't really like the standard one. It's $42k before on roads. If they'd throw them in for free I'd get one for a second car.
There's a 911 GT3 RS body kit for this car, from Thailand though (so it should be super affordable). Nicely finished and look completely insane Google and check it out 😃👍👍
lol what’s embarrassing about the red colour? I have the exact same car, same colour & model and I love it. I love how there are only two colours inside and out, red & black.
indeed, I can remember the days where thunderous V8 coupe with GT badges , then they were replaced by SS and XR sedans then ST turbos but this wearing a GT badge? China has a lot to learn.
My sister bought one of these GTs in white, She would have gotten the extended range but it wasnt available at the time of purchase & she really needed a new car. She’s had it for close to a year now & she loves it. It has given her zero problems. Her only gripe is the shitty Giti tyres. But that’s it. It goes well.
So happy with mine, I paid 30 DA for the standard range after state rebate. Underrated car, unbeatable value, great build quality and genuinely pleasant and enjoyable to drive.
That single red spoke is such a funny design choice. Automotive equivalent of just painting one fingernail.... The Ora doesn't make nearly as much sense in GT trim - you're right about the base spec being the main attraction for city buyers. Great review as always, mate
Guess you have no idea how much a racing strip sticker Ferrari is charging. And that adds 200 hp the money they charge 😆😆😆 but no zero power gain same handling...
It is not actually quirky, it just has some style where most cars today are styleless in order to be safe and unremarkable. The Modern Retro styling is aimed at the city chic buyer not the homogenised SVU/Dual Cab truck crowds.
Yes, definitely Temu special lol. It's close though, I reckon. A few tweaks here and there, get rid of the MINI headlights and fix up the rear end, drop it a bit... could look decent.
I took a close look at one and wasn't really too impressed with the interior. It feels more like a dentists waiting room rather than a car. The weight for something so small is pretty hilarious too.
I think the MG4 is more of a driver’s car. $15k cheaper, RWD, 50:50 weight distribution, better steering and a more tactile interior. Indicators that click down instead of bump, a gear selector with tactile feedback, paying for less unnecessary ornamentation. It’s simple, fun and cheap to buy in comparison.
You do miss out on many of the features the GT offers though. But the base Ora drives just as well as this GT and is as cheap as the base MG4, yet has a much nicer presenting interior overall.
MG4 is better looking and more dynamic, but the GWM is cheaper and more well equipped, MG4 interior is fine, but a bit sparce in comparison. I also personally perceive the quality/durability/reliability of GWM to be superior to SAIC, but I have no objective basis for that.
@@drivingenthusiastaustraliaThanks for the clarification. Still not good though. And thanks for providing the info in your reviews. Not many reviewers do.

The entire car is embarassing. An electric car called a GT when it's just a shitty nasty looking hatchback.
@@mrkring1526don't think you would say the same if it's from a German brand 😆😆😆
@@philipc239 I would, it looks horrific regardless. Absolutely feral POS this is and overpriced.
@@mrkring1526 I bet it performs better than your sad excuses of a Commodore or Falcon
@Tommmmmmmmmmmm hahah I wished I had one actually! Still a much better thing than this absolutely horrific monstrosity!!
Manafacturers need to stop giving the GT namebadge to products while adding no extra performance upgrades or Grand Touring abilities
The GT badge has been watered down.

@ yeah the mindset is changed. It’s all about the look now. Never mind the detail.
It’s so tacky and shit
The new Mini EV is actually based on this GWM Ora platform in a joint venture between🎉 GWM and BMW and there is a joint plant in China
Different platform.
@@YZJB cause the new mini ev is the platform was a joint venture to design the Ora and they now use the Ora platform for the new mini

Goodness the embarassment and the fact they're 47k is even worse
So happy with mine, I paid 30 DA for the standard range after state rebate. Underrated car, unbeatable value, great build quality and genuinely pleasant and enjoyable to drive.
What kind of launch control is that? Are you pressing the accelerator pedal and brake pedal in succession??
No, that doesn't really do anything in most electric vehicles. I was simply nailing the pedal with these tests.
The new electric mini is built on the same platform as the ora so in essence they are basically the same car now😅
Not the same platform
Matching red hoodie too

I actually don't mind the look of that. Fit a small turbo petrol engine in it and could be a winner.
Putting a "GT" badge on this, is about on par with giving "racing stripes" to hemorrhoid cream.
Lol

Price is too high. Needs more power.
It looks kinda frumpy, possibly a temu special, maybe a different front would help…

Nope is it nice retro design. Headlamp like a mini doesn't always worse at all. Even diablo has indentical nissan headlamp
Does it come with fire extinguishers sssssss 🔥🔥🔥🤪

Nice. More ev tests please!
No 😂
No thanks
Why would they want to copy a piece of crap like a mini🤔
@@gort3969 The next-gen model should be great; if this is the first attempt, it doesn’t need much to be quite a decent package.
It's not a copy. They are made together with Mini Electric in China. It's a 50 50 joint venture.
Google who design it
There is nothing worse in cars than annoying assistance tech and laggy screens!
Yeah but it's got Apple car play! That's all That matters no?
@mrkring1526 nope! i dont need that crap i want cars that i can drive not annoying nannys or babysitters trying to tell me what i can or cannot do

Somehow I doubt this is a true Grand Tourer, maybe a S-Line or equiv but GT? GTFOH.
GT? 😂😂
54 meters to stop from 100kph for a 1600kg car. Wow, that’s terrible. And yet it gets a five star safety rating.
@@xk2fg That’s in the wet. It would be at least 10m shorter in the dry.
@@drivingenthusiastaustraliaThanks for the clarification. Still not good though. And thanks for providing the info in your reviews. Not many reviewers do.
@@xk2fg Thanks. Yeah Giti tyres aren't the best. I'd guess around 43m in the dry, which wouldn't be good for a hatchback.
