Got my hands on a pair last week and gotta agree with pretty much everything that was said: - no break in time. Boots fit perfectly and they are the most comfortable boots Ive ever used - heel area padding and suede make it super comfy and premium looking - lacing system and the laceholes on the tongue are top notch - got mine in white/lime green colorway. They are fire!!!! Cant recommend them enough and its a shame that these boots are not as popular as it should be.
I bought a pair after watching your videos because I have same bunions on my heels and I always struggle with break in time with both adidas and Nike. I played am 41 and started playing soccer at 5. This is by far the best pair of soccer booth I have had. The heel area is padded, extremely soft and doesn’t causes any friction. The shoes are light and they fit perfectly for me that I have a medium width foot. I highly recommend these boots and I thank you for your honest review.
Bought these after morelia II cross stitch Never thought heel area can feel so nice, incredible pair of boots, IMHO better then morelia overall, but mizuno has thinner k-leather. Definitely half size down (26cm foot bought 25,5)
Purchased these off the back of this video, easily the most comfortable boot straight out of the box I’ve owned. Love the quality, it’s the full package. Will definitely look to give the synthetic version a go in near future.

Thank you for all the information on your channel as well as your website. As a mom of a US club & high school soccer player, the past 2years have been filled with blisters & heel pain & after many cleat trials, he only enjoyed playing in the classic leather Copa Mundials (which fall apart after a few uses). We listened to a lot of your reviews and he just had his first practice in these boots & the grip socks you recommended. I've never seen him come out of a practice happier - he LOVES the feel! As we had sole separation with the Copa's, do you have a recommended leather protector? Favorite laces you can link as these are a little short ?
No worries! Glad it was helpful 🤝 I don't use any leather protection, but these Asics will last a lot longer than the Copas (at least that's been the case in my testing / playing). As far as laces go, I'd go for something here: sr4ulaces.com/ - lots of colors to choose from!
i have both morelia neo 4 non-beta and ds light x fly 5 SE , and i prefer the xfly 5 because the mid foot is much wider than the neos & overall more comfortable.
Asics are usually very comfortable with good width as well, always liked asics for that. Problem with most asics boots that I tried is that they cannot get under the ball, esspecially with a side foot chip or lob, also can't do outside of the foot and trivellas. These look lighter and don't seem to have as much elevation, theoretically that should fix the problem? Do you think these are good with chipping, lobbing and outside of the foot? esp compared to other asics such as tigreor or lethal testimonial?
At the moment the DS Light X Fly 5 is a boot that I constantly rotate with my Mizuno Morelia 2 MIJ and Adidas XCrazyfast.1.. don’t think I can say anything negative about them given how absolutely comfortable they are.
How would you compare these to the Mizuno Rebula Cup MIJ? Specifically width in midfoot and forefoot and your general notes in differences and similarities mate? Indecisive between the two.
Hi Noah, thanks a lot for the great videos! I bought them in white with the silver soleplate and already have some important soleplate separation (as you talked about in your one month review). I only play on grass pitch and never had similar issues with other boots. Do you know if the more recent colorways have solved this issue and are more durable or if maybe the X FLY Pro 2 is more durable?
Nice mate! Sorry to hear about the sole separation - that's no good... It seems every other colorway I've had has excellent durability, so not sure what the issue was with the white and silver pair
Thanks a lot for your feedback. It is a shame, I really like this boot. I think I will try to reach out to Asics as well to check with them if there is anything different with the new colorways. Anyways, love your videos. Keep up the good work! :D

i cant decide which size to get these..i have a pair of morelia 2s in 9.5 US and they are tight, right on the edge of being too short. would you say go 9.0 US for these or stick to 9.5?
Hey mate, got myself half-sized down a DS Light AG mode and been wearing it for few session and I still got a small blister on the heel. Do you reckon it will stretch a bit later as I wear it more often? It is an amazing boots btw, just not perfectly fit on my weird feet straight out of the box. Thanks!!
What's your honest thoughts on these vs the NB Furon V8 Pro?? I see you have those as your #1 personal boot for 2024 If these are better than the Mizuno Neo IV, (their top performance model) and you have that boot as #1 in your "best speed boot of 2024 video", along with Mizuno being your #1 Boot brand from the brand video. Assuming you can get these Asics, these are the best boot for performance overall? It seems like these have it all. Top comfort, touch, control, fit, weight, ability to play multiple surfaces, and to top it off, they look amazing, and aren't nowhere near as expensive as the top models of other brands. Why would you get any other boot? Unless you really want comfort, full leather or a classic feel then you go with Morelia II's.
I want to buy one of them but I wonder about size. I usually wear Adidas boots 10US size and the toes are right up to the end. The half size down will fit or should I go true to size? Greatfull for advices!
Hi Noah what’s the durability like on these I only play on AG I was thinking what would last longer furon v7+ or maybe the special addition version of these or just the normal ones you reviewed here thank you !
Go for 9 mate. My foot measures 26.5. And i got a 8.5US. My toe fits to the end. But with 10.5cm foot width the toebox is way too cramped, my feet hurt a lot within minutes. Its to such a degree i don't see how stretching the leather will get it to the point of perfect fit. Its unfortunate, since shipping internationally i lose 40$ in duties and taxes when i send them back and i spent 3 hours trying on shoes comparing them to his sizing guide to get it right... I have no idea how Noah fits into the 8.5 it makes no sense to me. Guess its because hes just used to a more tight fit, plus he did say if you are usually a 9 with nike or adidas, then go for a 9 to make sure your feet aren't cramped to there we go, I should've listened to that. But i wanted to try this since Noah said it fits his foot perfect and my foot measures a bit smaller than his so I didn't think it would be a problem. True to size is what I would say for these cleats.
@@hanta7488 thank you! I got my foot scanned at a running store. If you haven't already, it paints the perfect picture of what should fit or not. I haven't gotten a shoe that doesn't fit properly since then.
@@bemopremo So I've done the freezing a bag of water in the shoe trick a couple times to try to stretch the leather. because its really just the toebox that is too tight for me, and its getting a lot better to the point where I think that it will work out with 8.5US in the end. I just need to break it in a lot... Out of the box the 9 would definitely fit a bit more proper overall. not to the point where it would overstretch. Both will fit, its just a matter of how tight/lose of a fit you really want in the end. I was just confused because Noahs fit well out the box and mine didn't fit at all. I genuinely though i'd have to return them
These are hands down my best fitting boots in the past 5-10 years. Funny thing is actually go true to size in US and my toe is right at the end lol I wish they made them with an AG soleplate as well... They're too aggressive for the AG fields I play on during the winter months.
Hi! Do you feel any foot pressure(?) because of stud?? I'm sorry if you already mentioned on video... cause I'm bad at english it's hard to understand the whole video..
Hey Noah, i just downloaded your size chart (such a good idea, thank you!), and noticed you are wearing a US 8.5 in the X-Fly 5 but a US 9 in the X-Fly Pro 2. Based on your previous reviews and what I wear I think we have very similar size feet, as I am bang on 27cm and wearing Alpha MIJs in a 9 currently. So I'm interested in why you went true to size in the Pros vs X-Fly 5. Have watched your reviews on both boots but couldn't find you talking about the size difference in the two boots. I want to get one of these two boots (in the Limited Edition synthetic as I play on some not great AG) but am gonna have to buy from Japan so really want to get the sizing rigjt first time! Cheers
@@NoahCavanaugh Oh, nice, that makes it so much simpler, thank mate! I'm still a bit torn about which to go for as you prefer the X-Fly 5 Limited Edition but Lockhart Bootblog says he prefers the X-Fly Pro LE because of the more aggressive sole plate. Think I'm just gonna have to pick one and see! Don't know if you've seen but there are some absolutely sick Pro 2s in fluorescent yellow on tokyofootball, very tempting!
hi noah if i wear 9us for basically every boots (MIJ morelia neo 4 and even the asics ultrezza 2 which is same asics) do you still recommend half-size down for the x-fly 5's? thanks in advance cos i can't try them before getting them and they do have the 1/4 to 1/3 longer vibe. If they're like the mizuno alphas, i need to stick with us9 cos my width won't allow for 8.5 for the alphas + most other boots. but do let me know if they are more forgiving than the alphas width-wise. if 8.5 in these fit similar to us9 morelia neos (length+width), im definitely getting 8.5 in these.
Hi Noah - Need some sizing help! My son is currently wearing mizuno alpha MIJ at us 6.5 (in the label it says Japan 24.5cm). He’s growing out of the alpha size wise and wants leather plus a decent sole plate so I looked up x-fly 5 and it says us6.5 / Japan 25cm. Should I buy x-fly 5 at us6.5 or us7.5/japan 25.5cm? This sizing is really confusing and it sucks not able to try out boots nearby. Any help is greatly appreciated 🙏🙏

Both will fit, its just a matter of how tight/lose of a fit you really want in the end. I was just confused because Noahs fit well out the box and mine didn't fit at all. I genuinely though i'd have to return them
These are hands down my best fitting boots in the past 5-10 years. Funny thing is actually go true to size in US and my toe is right at the end lol
I wish they made them with an AG soleplate as well... They're too aggressive for the AG fields I play on during the winter months.
SO good aye! 🔥That's great to hear you can get away with true to size!
Hi! Do you feel any foot pressure(?) because of stud?? I'm sorry if you already mentioned on video... cause I'm bad at english it's hard to understand the whole video..
No mate 🤝 fantastic boots all around
Cheers
I wear an 8.5 in the X Fly Pro 2 as well mate, that's my bad! Will fix that on the next round of edits!
Yooo how the heck you have such crazy quads 😂
😈💪
Damn. What a Wow colour ❤
Unreal aye 😍
X fly pro 2 or x fly 5😂 which one wider?😅
X Fly 5
hi noah if i wear 9us for basically every boots (MIJ morelia neo 4 and even the asics ultrezza 2 which is same asics) do you still recommend half-size down for the x-fly 5's? thanks in advance cos i can't try them before getting them and they do have the 1/4 to 1/3 longer vibe.
I’d go for the same size as the Ultrezza 🤝
Where can you buy these? never been able to find any for sale 😢
The link is LITERALLY in the description 😂💙
@@NoahCavanaugh omg, sorry man that is useless from me 😂
Adidas F50 👍💨
Class!
I have a FREE full size guide here: www.noahcavanaugh.com/product-page/football-boot-sizing-guide
I got a pair cause of you bro! They're just simply amazing. Much love 🫶🏼
Love that mate! 🤝
How this compare with the Mizuno Morelia II instead? Which one is more comfortable? And how about the lockdown?
Both are VERY comfortable mate! I'd say the Mizuno is a bit more durable but it's also thicker and less speedy feeling 😎
