    Great Video! I usually dread these Future-Tech videos because sources are rarely attributed, and they often come with a ton of fluff to stretch out the video.
    Your video on the other hand is succinct, to the point and sources are listed. Awesome and subscribed.

    The main issue with using thermoplastics is the gradual loss of plasticity, which is also the reason why plastic can't be infinitely recycled. Constrained metal alloys are also an option.

    Nice concise and informative piece! So, my son is a camera drone pilot in Hollywood - but the pull for the high end drone pros right now professionally is very towards much military/industrial focuses. And - man I sure love the videos of him on the tops of cliffs with FPV drones zipping around him . . . and think they might ultimately be healthier for him than building "one way" drones and such in killing zones. But its his big fork in the road I that he has to make. ***ANYWAY - before my ramble there, my point was that even with a kid in the biz, I really know very little about it - and so work like yours is a wonderful help for me in having educated sounded questions for my kid!

      My sister has some friends that do the military drone flying, safely as civilians living an otherwise normal life, knowing their dropping a payload intended to kill people, then playing Dad when they get home each day. Says it messes them up good. I'd steer him away from that, no matter how well it pays.

      The craft you are referring to does take off from a safety tether in that particular video cllip. I agree it might have been better if Tech Planet had shown a better clip of it from the 34 plus flight footage videos on my channel. I am still very grateful to him for including it on his channel. If you look at my channel and take any care whatsoever, you will see that it does in fact very clearly lift its power supply and does a good job of it.

    Acoustical powered drone? I am beginning to realize the speed of sound-barrier has not been over come. • @drkastenbrot
      @drkastenbrot 2 роки тому +2

      you dramatically misunderstand the physics here. there is no acoustical signature. its just a strong static soundwave creating pockets of low and high pressure, just strong enough to lift a styrofoam ball. it is not viable for heavy objects.
      the speed of sound is easily overcome, its called supersonic and all kinds of bullets, rockets and jets have achieved those speeds. even a whips tail will go supersonic.

    Nothing to do with this video. Just an idea; make a spiral mirror, and point it to the Pleiades or some other well identified star as you see it today. You will detect light using a light detector . Then figure out where the Pleiades are today (1200 light years away from they are today) you will it detect “light” where there is none. There currently is no explanation for that. I mentioned the Pleiades because this is the star group that was used for this experiment in “a well known national laboratory” where this experiment was conducted.
    This only works with a spiral mirror. There is no clear explanation as to how “light” traveling at the speed of light is reaching the mirror from the current location where the star cluster is today “instantaneously”. The spiral mirror must be at least 1 meter long. No reflector is needed. This is one of the top things physicists are working on. Two possible explanations: Tachyon / photons or quantum entanglement.
    FYI - there is no other stars at the site where the photons area coming from the location where the photons are coming from taking in consideration time dilation.

    I'm excited to see the development of ion parachutes, yes flight is difficult to control and lifting its own power-supply is only another hurdle in making an engine: an ion chute for military application is a good projected step. I think the UFO I saw was ion-drive-powered, slow, soundless, didn't bother birds on the wires or the horse, just maintained altitude and barely changed course.
