Let me draw a comparison, as Canadian we are required to learn all countries, capital cities etc in high school. Canadians find most Americans uneducated as cannot name much of the world. Gary, you and I are aware of the world through our jobs or business, but most Americans have low awareness of the world, and as a recent study showed, many had a hard time finding the USA on a globe. Another study compared the percentage of Filipinos university graduates to US university graduates, resulting in almost a tie! Public school most countries are not like when we were young, so your comment is what you see in your kids' school shared by most of us.

Interesting video. Intelligence, Education and Worldliness are three separate but related things. If a countries school system doesn't encourage worldly topics such as history, economics and geography then you are unlikely to have worldly students. You also need to consider a news system with a very internal focus over world events. The Filipinos I have met are generally very intelligent and educated, however not overly worldly. There are plenty of countries that are similar in this regard. I am sure many people in the USA believe the world starts at New York and ends at LA.

I think the biggest reason for Filipina jealousy with foreigners stems from them being far more acutely aware of just how 'interested' other Filipinas are in their man. Unlike the foreigners that are mostly oblivious to the comments from others your Filipina has her defense systems on high alert when you are out and about.
The issue with teaching in the Philippines when it comes to teaching English for example. They teach the words but don’t teach word placement. Just my experience
I think the biggest problem with Filipina's not having "wordly" knowledge is the mindset "This is how we do it here," they're not willing to open their minds up to gain that knowledge. I believe you're correct, the jealousy comes from insecurities, but they should realize, the foreigner has MILLIONS of Filipina's to choose from and he chose her, so she is obviously good enough for him and as long as she brings him peace and happiness, she has nothing to worry about from any other woman. But, an insecure woman will need constant affirmations, which is EXHAUSTING, and will cause unnecessary drama and problems, which is the opposite of peace and happiness. On whether Filipinos are friendly, it's pretty obvious to anyone who watched any video there that they are, I think the better question would be "Are they just being friendly to a foreigner because they have ulterior motives and want something from them?" The truth hurts, and the more it hurts, the more true it is, thank you Gary for giving your honest opinion even if it's not the popular one to make people feel good. ALL of your answeers are correct because they are YOUR opinion, just because someone else has a different opinion doesn't mean you are wrong, you just see it differently. I would like to address one of Gary's true or false answers. While I agree that Filipinos are some of the most intelligent people in the world, I think culture hinders more than being uneducated. If I go to someone's home and decline to eat, culture would make them continue to badger me into eating. Not considering my reason for declining, it could be hypertension, diabetes, or a strict diet. I have encountered Filipinos educated in Western countries who struggle with culture over common sense at times.
Filipinas speak multiple languages (Bisaya, Tagalog, English, etc..) while American women mainly speak ONE language (English) so Filipinas are educated.
Keeping in mind that there's variables to everything in life, and I say that because some people don't consider that when they're looking at subjects. Someone asked, when you marry a Filipino do you marry her family, but doesn't that happen with anybody you Marry? Again I say there are variables. If some families are closed, then you do tend to. If they're not, then you don't.
