My Entire Premed Schedule In 13 Minutes (Difficulty Rated and Ranked)😲 | Accelerated

- I recently finished college with a 4.0 GPA. Now having gotten an A in every class, the difficulty of courses is not ranked in terms of if it's possible to get an A (it is), it's based on how hard I thought the concepts were [or how much work the class had]. I was in an accelerated medical program so I finished college and taking all my premed requirements in 5 semesters, but a traditional premed might take 4 years. Given such, certain classes bio majors might take like embryology, histology, or plant sh!t I didn't have to take.
This video is hopefully a little more laid back and meant to give you an idea of what courses you might have to take as a premed. Also at the end, the lighting keeps changing, I apologize for that. Rip lamp at the end. I tried to keep it under 13 minutes but there was an extra 17 seconds.

No
Leorio from Hunter x Hunter would be proud. Hope you meet him when you matriculate
i hope so too
I'll be honest, this was meant to publish at 12:30 in the afternoon and not at midnight, but lol. It is what it is. Enjoy
Lol
If only schedules in other countries are intensified as these as a premed. I take 25-32 units per sem and makes my focus wander.
lolloolo
ALL THIS WITH THE ANIMEDORO????? you’re a walking testimony sir!!!!
Hey Josh, not a premed but I still find your sense of humor and channel nice to watch. Congrats on your undergrad studies, I still have two years in cybersecurity. I'll be following your journey! (If you can keep making these vids during med school)
thank you. always love having non pre-med viewers. Good luck in cybersecurity as well
i’ve been watching all your videos and i love them!! you’re so under appreciated, especially for all the pre-med info!
Keep up the hard work ! It will be all worth it down the road.
I found your channel today, and even though I am not planning on enrolling a med school, the contents you upload are very helpful and interesting. Thank you!
This was very informative and interestingly. Thank
This dude right here is going to make it big one day. Can't believe he's so underrated rn.
great content dude!
You literally earned 1k subs in a few hours, good job man!
ur content is pretty cool man!
Wow thanks
This man sounds like a genius to me, my grades could never compare ;-;
Bro as a pre med myself, I really enjoy ur content and it’s really really beneficial to me! Thank u a lot
I enjoyed this haha great video :)
Glad you enjoyed!
these videos are therapy
lol
Bro you graduated a year early? Cool seeing you on my youtube recommended page. Long time no see. Hope you're doing well!
oh what's up chris. Nah i'm in an accelerated med program so I finished early. Hope youre doing well too.
biochem and orgo 2 and physics in one semester were you on suicide watch?
I would never!
Currently doing this right now. We shall see how it goes D:.
@@trevordavis3257 Aren’t you required to take orgo before biochem?
@@danid2702 My college requires that I either have taken it (organic 2) or are taking both at the same time to take biochem.
I am graduated from PSU as a premed and took a good amount of the courses you took! :)
genin to a chunin haha I LOVE IT!!!
Wow you took a lot of physics for being premed. I know physics I and II are required for premeds but you def went above and beyond. I’m premed and probably going to get a physics minor so the quantum stuff scares me lol
hey Josh. would you recommend taking those upper-level courses that you took as a pre-med student?
In the Philippines, in my case, for example, we have to take 24-30 units per semester in my freshman (2 sems) and sophomore (2 sems) years. I envy your curriculum because it is more laid back. BS Biology here btw.
I love the anime references in every video
@Josh Chen can u make a video about your sleeping routine I find it hard to wake up and going to class
omggg you got to use cadavers?? BRUH SO EXCITINGGGG
I am doing organic chem now and it's kicking my ass. So I use your animedoro to kick my own ass to kick ITS ass lol
Josh Greene and Johnathan Haidt are some of my favorites as well! Deep pragmatism gang
yo thats awesome. I met haidt once for like 5 minutes cuz he gave a talk at psu. This was before i read his book, didn't really know who he was. Now I'm like damn, that was epic.
America: We require most pre-meds to take 4 years of college before they can apply to medical school.
Also America: pHySicIan ShoRtAge
Other countries: Take this 6 year program and become a doctor 2 years earlier
can you explain to me how it works there?
Where’s there? US or not US?
The intro omg💀
I’m confused how you took fluids and waves/QM without having taken multi or differential equations. Was it a watered down version?
At my school both of those require a base knowledge of linear ODEs if not PDEs-
I feel like the takeaway is that you should choose a less intense major, take the watered down classes, and boost your GPA with lots of sociology, psychology, and ethics electives.
It’s a specific thing for the pennstate Jefferson bsmd program I was just checking their course and credit requirements
Can you explain your process of studying each day? How much of it do you allocate to reviewing past material vs learning current material? Do you strive to memorize every bit of detail for exams? How do you know for sure if you've studied "enough" at the end of every day? (In other words, studying enough to actually do well on exams and not just "feeling" like you've studied enough - false sense of confidence.)
Hmm, ill try to answer this question, even though a lot of it is somewhat just intuitive for me. Just go with the flow type of thing. Reviewing past vs learning current, it really depends on the class. I try to stay up to date in the harder classes and put off the courses I know I can pick up quicker. In terms of determining that, it really depends how much you understand during lecture. Harder classes, stay more current. For exams, the higher up you go its more about problem-solving. I try to know the content well enough that I feel like I can explain it well rather than memorizing everything and well enough that I can comfortably ace the practice tests if i retook them. For most classes, it's ur confidence after doing practice and more problems that tells you how confident to feel.
This guy rated anatomy 4/10, what a chad and I like it.
Dude it was 1 credit course. It was probably some lighter version of anatomy. Med students take a harder anatomy course in year 1 or 2 AKA the didactic years
Hey josh I am currently a junior and a premed student. Do you have any tips for taking physics because I dropped out of AP physics in high school because of the shit teacher I had and have been terrified of physics ever since. Physics never came to me easily so i am wondering if you have any study tips that helped you. The Physics class I am taking is physics of motion fluids and heat
honestly, I'm not sure if I had any magical tips, but for me, it took doing many many practice problems, like as many as i could. For some people getting chegg was super helpful too, but you can't just use it to cheat, you need to solve the problems first, then see if you did it the right way.
So, what you do the spring semester? Moving to new apt?
yes, and research
Any specialties you have in mind?
How many hours did you study each day on average?
gonna be a pre-med student this upcoming fall? (check!)
terrible at time management and wants to not feel like im constantly drowning in work? (check!)
has a very on-or-off "work ethic"? (check!)
thank you, youtube algorithm for showing me this gem of a channel lol
I hated o chem lab too. a lot of work.
I also went to PSU. Were you part of BS MD I had mad friends in that program
i was
Solid video, but you are wrong about one thing. Most schools do accept AP credits.
EDIT: This is not to say all of them do, I know schools like Harvard and Yale do not accept them. Just make sure you do your due diligence when applying and use MSAR (Medical School Admissions Requirements) tool provided by the AAMC.
Well. That is actually very good to hear. That is something I'm happy I'm wrong about
@@yugiohforce1 Yeah it is great news. You do have to keep it in mind if you have a specific school that you are interested in that might not accept it though. This past cycle I had to cut off a few schools that did not accept them, but the vast majority (85%+) did accept all of my AP credits. All of my acceptances did not even mention or notice the fact that a huge chunk of the prereqs were taken in high school lol.
When is the apartment tour vid coming????
lol i am lazy. maybe in 2 weeks
Did you apply/get into a med school yet? How’d that go?
well, im part of a bsmd program so, it's a little different
ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF DRAGON BALL NARUTO Z PRE MED SCHOOL
Hey Josh, did your endorsement in high-school matter in college? And what was your endorsement in highschool?
what does this mean
I guess they don’t have it over there where you live, but endorsements are like STEM, Public Services, Business and Industry etc.
yeah we dont have it
Is it easy to get job in uk for premed student who study Bsc ?
401 is goated

Why am i watching. i am an astrophysics major

HI JOSH
Hi bro! Is cancer biology and immunology a good premed course? Please tell me...
yes, a little niche, but good basics
@@yugiohforce1 thank you Mr.josh

this is UPenn lost...don't worry about it
PSU 2025 here
I'm about to graduate from Penn State, and holy hell I'm jealous of that 4.0 and not being burnt out. If I can say anything about penn state, I regret wasting my earlier semesters, since I wrecked my gpa my freshman year and while I got better I really didn't socialize or network at all afterwards. Now I hate having online classes (and paying full tuition for them). I'm barely gonna have a 3.2 and I've gotten at least one C C+ or B- pretty much every semester.
Hardest class I've ever attempted was Astro 291: Introduction to astrophysics of the solar system. Easiest was Art 101: Introduction to web design (it's literally just html).
Astronomy/Physics has a great department (at least if you're a major, the profs getting a bad rep for phys 211-214 usually get it bc of the large class size, I've had them in smaller classes and they're amazing. 400-levels are insanely difficult, but the profs will still make you love what you're doing). Avoid having to deal with EECS past 200-level courses.
Might try animedoro bc I might die this semester, plus I've never watched anime really before.
Gl with med school
thanks. always great seeing ppl who also went through psu. maybe try some shorter animes to start out
@@yugiohforce1 yeah nice hearing some psu stem people on youtube.
So far I've thought about either starting with eva, bebop, jojo, beastars, or AoT. I've got a roommate whole could probably recommend me some stuff too, I'm a big sci-fi person. I'll definitely try this though, thanks for the idea.
Med schools don’t take AP credits?? :(
