  • At an initial glance one would think that ID part programming is the same process as OD programming. However with further inspection you will see that special precautions must be taken into account. For instance is there a hole already in the part to start machining from. If so how can I control my boring bar from clipping the back side of this hole while performing the ID machining operation. In this webinar we will explore multiple scenarios and the steps taken to ensure a successful part program. Once completed attendees will have an intimate understanding of how to handle part programs with ID features.

I very much appreciate the content here on your channel. I came here to find a solution to a problem with the way the spindle rotates with drill type tools on my Lathe which doesnt have live tooling. The documentation says that the orientation of spindle rotation in the tool list is with respect to the drill tool. I'm fine by that. But when i try to bore with the same U Drill (Solid Drill) on Shopturn as cutting edge D2, the spindle rotation direction messes up. For the boring tool application (here in D2 offset of the UDrill, spindle rotation sense is off of the work and not the tool). There is no option to change the spindle direction of rotation in D2 tool offset. Is there a way out?
