Medvedev's nuclear threats are like 'the boy who cried "Wolf!". Medvedev has cried "Nuke!" so many times that the Western leaders just dismiss it as meaningless background noise.
If Russia wants the West to pay attention to its nuclear weapons, then it could break the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, and carry out a nuclear test explosion, like the ones the USSR carried out in the Cold War. Now THAT would DEFINITELY get the West's attention! However, Russia could lose support from China and India if it did that.

The glacial pace at which the insipid Biden administration functions, has been to withhold F-16's, Attack Helicopters, Patriot Systems, M1 Abrams and ATACMS long-range missiles since this war began.

Russians will live outside of Russia as they always have: off their Oligarch money stolen from Russian taxpayers or just normal people finding normal work abroad or online.
How they stay in each country they escape to varies - some overstay visas and some hop around from country to country to restart the visa timer.

We should have been training Ukrainian pilots since 2014. Out all the types of aid that can be offered to a foreign government, military training is the least risky and easiest to conceal and/or deny. Had we recognized the Crimian annexation and fake rebellion in Donbas in 2014 for what it was (Russian expansionism) and shown an ounce of resolve to stand up to Russia, this whole situation could have been avoided. Barack Obama folded at the mere whisper of 'nuclear' and the guy after him wished Putin liked him as much as he did him. Suffice to say time was wasted and courage was lacking to prepare for what was so easily predictable by Russian affairs experts. Well.... for those of us in or with experience in the Intelligence Services, he'd be incorrect to believe that no nukes of any kind are in Belarus. Let's just say there's definitely evidence of it, except that Lukashenko does NOT have any access to them being used. That's the actual caveat. However, at least 2 Russian mob groups do have access to small nuclear armament, but the likelihood of the 2 mob groups actually using the small ones they've managed to procure is next to nil, as they only felt the need to procure these as a "last stand effort" of defense for themselves. Anyway, great assessment overall. Much appreciated.
