🤔I suspect this is employees (& maybe even Twitter users) there that are aggressively trying to knock off/ban ..etc as many ppl as they can, on their personal crap list as they can before the new OWNERSHIP transfer is finalized & the employees' & twitter user's records, work & status is reviewed.
..🤨They are probably, Even including ppl they very slightly dislike &/or disagree with.
.. I don't personally know U guys but, I doubt U or Nathan have anyone that really have it out for U or hardcore hate U guys with any validity.
..But then again these days a cough or just keeping in shape is enough for ppl to aggressively come after U. Especially when they are behind a keyboard or a touchscreen.
This part of the reason why i mostly listen to U guys on podcasts & watch on Odysee.

make an app buddy .. an ios one or android one, then you can use a simple video player upload there , blog there , have a comment and sub and thread for sub's to comment and speak to each other and to you ,, you are in control of everything that way and some many are going this way.... love to hear your opinion on an APP
we could log in notification on every time u up load a new vid .. i think would be great for you to go down this way as we woud all download it you an put ads or sponcers make money that way just an idea

A lot of bans have been happening recently. I would expect this could possibly be malicious intent by the current employees. I would wait until after Friday and then work to get it unbanned.
It might be a premature bot filtering algorithm that Musk has made one of his first demands as owner. Cutting content moderation teams is almost certainly in process and the mass suspensions so close to the buy out guarantees that at the least they're related.
And I don't think Twitter employees care very much about banning moderately popular privacy media to get at Musk.
I'd bet solid money that it's exactly this. A few disgruntled employees who know they aren't actually contributing anything to the company and are going to get the axe soon are probably just taking the chance to act on a few personal vendettas.
Musk has his work cut out for him.

@@techlore I personally have the same issue. Using my twitter for my business. But I guess they changed some rules and we are somehow to correct previous rules infringements that are only new recently. Hope they reply soon to our appeals

Iv made 5 new accounts now because I keep getting suspended for NOTHING. I about 10mins ago just got suspended AGAIN all I did was like comments and BAM What the hell twitter???
I have this beat. My account is locked because of unusual activity. This is what it said when I signed up and logged in for the very first time ever. prior to a few days ago I'd never even so much as clicked onto any link that had anything to do with twitter. I make it a point not to use my phone as a computer. I don't text or use any social media other than youtube, and that's done on my desktop or laptop( both Linux). The phone is for phone calls. I haven't even been on Facebook in close to 10 years. Never used Instagram. Now twitter sends me emails as though I am an active user. And they show highlights that are local to me. So they sure as hell know where I am. When I try to click on to read them it insist I enter my phone number. I opted to use email to sign up when given the option, as any twitter activity I may take part in will NOT be on my phone. So I have no reason, or intention of giving them my number.
A fellow guy who has been banned, I just gotta like the video. I am a 2x banned person 😁 People are thin-skinned.... Can't take shit these days

Sucks to hear that. Twitter's moderation can be quite asinine. All of social media's moderation, really. Glad you're working on alternatives, though.
MFW people were talking about this kind of shit being possible 20 years ago when it was just starting, and everybody was just like "haha Le racist gamer just want say slur-words". Mandated moderation through laws like the Communications Decency Act was a major mistake.
I actually had an issue similar to this. I had a Twitter account which I rarly used. And I had it for a few years. Also I was never really active on it and it was at least hacked once. And then for some reason my account got suspended for no reason. I heard Twitter might suspend your account if it thinks it's inactive to prevent bots or something. Also some people say that you hardly ever unsuspend you unless your someone famous like trump there not going to give you back your account.
If they cancelled you for botness, one would think they'd need evidence: such as bot-like tweets! So HTF they can ban someone who's not tweeting is a mystery to me; and maybe even to them!
Yeah, maybe Twitter employees are not aware of such bans as well.
The more banning rules one adds, the more sphagetti like the code gets, the less comprehensible it becomes.

I was suspended 3 times in the last 24 hours for "potentially automated" activity.
I hope Elon Musk fixes Twitter. I've only been on the site for 1 year and managed to get two accounts suspended. It seems to me that Twitter stalks accounts they don't like and then terminates them the moment you break a mundane rule that was randomly made up.

Substack is sort of interesting for longer than tweet content. I still like matrix for shorter stream of content stuff. It is sort of a modern IRC with extra features. Anything with an RSS feed can work for most of us as most have some RSS feed aggregator.
Most internet infrastructure should be regulated as a common carrier. Bell Telephone was a private company, but they were also regulated, and couldn't just ban you from having telephone service because they didn't like you.

I was suspended a little over a week ago for the word "punch." It was in the form of a question and not a threat. What I think is going on is they trying to make it as hard as possible for Musk to take control of his platform.
I got banned by Twitter because of the privacy precautions I take in the end they unbanned me in less then 5 minutes after I offered to add a phone number to it. (Still haven't added a phone number and don't plan to)
bro I some how got Perma banned on twitter on two separate accounts lmao, last thing I remember was just arguing with the most goofy people.
I was banned recently for saying a company should die... (not the people in the company) anyway, twitter thought it was directing hate and abuse when all I was sying is that I hope a company/organisation dies and and is replace with something better.

Now, thanks to them, I lost all of my Followers because of the Update they have made. Like, What did the People like Me ever do to Violate the Twitter's Guidelines, It makes no sense and no reason to be Suspended for, Now Twitter is Ruined because of the Update that Elon Made. I got permanently suspended because some user was being disrespectful of my tweet I posted online. And I posted back gave a threat and warning if he ever disrespect me or anybody else's comment again online. Which cause me to get to broke the rules. My fault anyway, I was having a bad day at time. Some people online cyberbullies have no respect. They're all just jerks and losers. Can't deactivated deleted my twitter account while on suspension now.

I really don't know what is going on with these companies. I lost my Instagram account for breaking the community guidelines but I never got a response from any attempts to contact support to find out exactly what I had done wrong. My account had five photos taken by me, and all I ever did with it was the odd private message and clicking on likes of friends' photos. There was no warning, I just received the message when I tried to log in and about a month later my account no longer existed. I guess I'm lucky I didn't put a lot of work into Instagram and fill it with albums.
They probably assumed you were a bot. Did you send a lot of links in comments/DMs?
@@tissuepaper9962 No, I was hardly active at all. Only logged in a couple of times a month and rarely commented on anything, other than clicking like on pictures from people I know. One of the last things I did was reported someone for sending out creepy messages but I can't see that ending in a ban. If I was wrong then surely Instagram would just say it was a wrong report or something. I see it as like going to the police and reporting someone suspicious, they check it out and let me know all is well, nothing to worry about. I suppose it is possible my account was hacked but surely Instagram would detect a sudden change in activity and raise an alarm rather than shut an account down? I have no idea, I never got any response from Instagram at all when I tried to query it.
I'm not allowed to review or ask questions on Amazon for TOS, and I was a Prime member for years and left detailed reviews because I wanted to be in their Vine program. 3 separate inquiries resulted in CS just sending me a link to TOS, but no one will say which part I broke. But, my last review before the ban was rejected.
The product didn't match the picture in functionality, so I bought a thing I couldn't use that the item pic clearly showed I could use. Amazon basically wanted my review to reflect only what I received according to what the reject email stated, and they wanted me to cut out the pic part because, buried somewhere in the description, it said I couldn't use it for my needs even tho the pics showed I could.
@Angela Woods Glad you got your account back 🙂 I never received any response from support and it was some time ago now. I'm not interested in putting my time into a company that doesn't care about clients. If I was an advertiser I bet they would be bending over backwards to apologise and get me up and running again. I suppose we can't really complain about these free to use services, it's just a case of finding one that we fit in with. Have a wonderful Xmas 🙂

Same happened to my account in 2020, no warning and no email explaining why my account was just terminated. Oh well.
I was banished from there a couple years ago. For me it was a well-being-wise net-negative place because at the end of the day Twitter elevates fringe nutt cases from a particular 'west' leaning ideology as if they have something decent to offer the future of society, if mass mental illness is considered a worthy societal goal. There was one account which posts artwork daily which I didn't want to stop viewing, and a firefox add-on called breakthrough twitter login wall, helped me to do that.
you can use nitter as a frontend if you don't want to login, you don't have to have an additional extension

@@AuroraAce. I found an arm64 docker image for nitter, so I'm now self-hosting an instance locally. It's much nicer and more secure now, so cheers for the suggestion. It's lightening quick as well. Hopefully Musk doesn't now somehow block the 'unofficial API' they say it runs on!

speaking of temp emails, i recently heard of this mac app called tempbox, which locally creates a temp email. and allows to create endless emails.
are there more apps like this? i'm on catalina (tempbox is bigsur only), and maybe for those on windows as well?

This goes to show just how the law has not caught up to technology.
Twitter is a private entity and can do what it wants on its platform but it certainly has a chilling effect on the first amendment.
This tension is going to have to be addressed or things like the first amendment become meaningless.
The fjrst amandment doesnt affect plattforms, those are laws protecting yourom the government, not from private institutions banning you on their plattform.
The real issue is not closely regulating plattforms which have big impacts on ohr society.
I am fine for these big plattforms to exist, but then they have to be regulated, because as you can see, its easy to just silence someone on that huge platform and its totally legal.
