I own a Home Alone themed Christmas sweater that I wear every year at work and people are happy to see me in it every year, they remember and they enjoy seeing it again. I also lend it to my friend every year because she doesn't want to buy one so we both wear the same sweater to our respective jobs
So I'm a guy, and reasonably I don't feel interested or influenced to buy the products mentioned here, it's more... guitar stuff or handheld consoles or technology (clear non-essentials for me), but the mentality is the same. The reasons to buy/not to buy are the same. Looking for a kind of comfort or nostalgia, or the novelty or cleanliness of something new, or simply wanting that dopamine response by making a purchase. Your videos have helped a ton to look into my wishlist and understand what the thought process behind that "want" is. It brings me peace of mind clearing out some things that realistically have no place in my life. Thanks for sharing :D
I wanted Dyson hair dryer for two years now, and at the beginning of this month, my hair dryer has finally broke, at first, I thought it was a sign, but then I thought myself out and bought a new hairdryer at the 10th of the price of Dyson, today It’s arrived and I love it, it’s an upgrade from my old dryer and I didn’t have to break the bank to get it (sorry for my English EIMSL) I love your channel and I wanted you to know that you made an impact on my spending habit
Congratulations on this win! I love that you weighed out your option and you got an upgrade that was within your budget. I love to hear it, thank you so much for sharing!
I wear the same dress to every gathering with friends and every somewhat dressy date night. It saves me so much work putting together an outfit when I have such a reliable go-to
I love this channel because whenever I wanna go back to my old ways I watch a Shawna video and lose the urge. Thank you for these vids, they help more than you know! ❤
I LOVE having a signature holiday outfit! I just looked back through my sweater collection while packing for my mom's, and rediscovered sweaters I've had forever, some for 8 years! I don't need anything else--these are my favorite garments, they fit me so well and are my perfect style. Nothing new could ever compare!
You know it would be very weird if other people would find issue with us repeating a sweater once a year 😅and yet these odd thoughts still cross my mind
Hi Shawna! I’d love to see you discuss overconsumption when on holiday. I have seen SOOOO many videos about people who go to Japan and buy everything they can and more. I think it’d be very interesting to hear your take on the way we perceive consumption when abroad ☺️
Bullet journaling has been a lifesaver for me - more engaging than a planner and I get to use up stuff I already have (stationary, pens etc.) Plus a blank notebook can be repurposed if you stop journaling where a planner is only good for a set time period
I didn’t realize people used Black Friday for anything other than Christmas shopping I won’t lie 😅 I don’t usually need to buy anything for myself when the holidays roll around because I’m already expecting to receive my gifts so this was eye opening! Also your point about perfume samples is SO important! Also, perfumes change scent when you use them correctly and apply them to your skin. Just because it smells good in the bottle doesn’t mean it will mix well with your body’s natural chemistry!
I don’t remember where I heard it, but the phrase “consumables should not be collectible” has really stuck with me. Things like perfume, makeup, skincare, even food, are not meant to be collected in huge quantities because they have a limited time before they expire. It’s helped me a lot thinking “will I be able to use this up before it expires?” before buying new consumables!
Cost per wear has become super important for me since I’ve become a SAHM. Outside of baby showers, holidays, and things like that, I only wear fancy clothes once a week to church. Now I try to make an effort every week to make sure I’m wearing my favorite items.
Also with candles, scents sometimes feel limited edition or special but its just a fancy title for a scent you probably already own. Like it's called "gingerbread cake" and that feels different from "freshly baked cookies" but lowkey theyre both just gingerbread
shawna ur videos have been such a help to me! i have noticed a huge change in temptation and impulse control when shopping, and i always find myself thinking of things u've said in ur vids. tysm for everything u do!!!
This video came out just as I was thinking I might ask my bf if we can go back to Winners to look at dress options for the Christmas party-I’ve been wearing the same dress over and over for Christmas for about 6-7 years now. But instead of doing that, I remembered I purchased a super cute white skirt on clearance and paired with a grey sweater, it gives a super cute winter snowflake vibe that would be perfect for a Christmas party. Thanks Shawna, your videos have really gotten me to think more critically about my purchases!
This is slightly off-topic, but I have a de-influencing tip for buying new clothes: (ESPECIALLY FOR ADHD BRAINS!!!) To keep your closet fun and fresh, switch everything out seasonally. I don't mean warm weather and cold weather. I'm talking spring, summer, fall/Halloween, and Christmas. At least those are the categories that make the most sense for the clothes that I have and living in Wisconsin. There will be SOME overlap/blending of the seasons, but its generally fun to switch everything out, because half the time I completely forget about some of the pieces I have, and so it gives my ADHD brain a boost of dopamine because it's something new... to my awareness. Furthermore, I'll buy things out of season/from garage sales, and store them away immediately after washing them so that it actually is something new to my closet rotation, and it kind of gives the same vibe as receiving a package when you don't remember what you ordered so it feels like a present!
I have a Notes app on my phone that I keep and add to year-round Black Friday shopping ideas; that includes Christmas and birthday gift ideas for family and friends, baby registry items, or wedding registries coming up. Or just things that I’ve been thinking about and would like in my life such as a certain stainless steel sauce pan, or a backpacking/hunting backpack which I have been wanting for a few years now. It helps keep me focused on what I need to get rather than get sucked in by all the flash sales. Black Friday can be helpful but you have to go in with a budget and a premeditated plan.
On the Pokemon cards thing, it really does depend if you just want to keep the cards in a binder or display to look at or if you actually play in Pokemon card tournaments. For example, my child collects them but isn't quite ready to play the game with other people yet, so I just get him the cheapest packs I can find with whatever cards are included. And if you like to just see what you can get that could work great! Same goes for if you are a casual player or just like to trade cards. But if you are a competitive player looking for more specific cards for your deck, it may be worth more of your money to look for specific cards in game stores or online that you want or need. A budget is needed in either a casual or competitive space, but how you budget will definitely depend on which you are.
omg shawna im so happy you took the time to help me! i know it was a tall ask but i really appreciate the time and effort you put into answering my request :-) i think the question of when will my collection be good enough is the best one to ask myself, especially as new sets with beautiful cards keep releasing (which is another thing: sets release so often with really gorgeous art and its so so hard to keep myself in check when new sets release), so im going to try and keep that in mind as my biggest preventer of spending on more cards. thanks again!
I am not even 10 minutes in to this video yet but I am so so grateful for you putting this content into the world, not only you, but the amazing community in the comments sharing their sustainable and de-influencing ideas in the comments. I have two sweaters that belonged to my parents in the 80s that I have worn during the holidays every year. These 40 year old items have outlived almost all of the other sweaters I have bought over the past decade. They are most definitely "out of style" but I cherish them!
ok i went to count my candles, i have only one, its 6 years old and has about a half inch of wax left. this backfired in that now i want to buy a second candle.
The issue with card collecting is it can tap into the feeling of “gambling” because unless you are paying for a specific card, you’re really just buying packs and hoping for the card you’re looking for.
Fragrances are my weakness. However, since setting a budget, i feel infinitely less tempted. I wear four different scents, and I'm really enjoying using them down.
I feel like with the holiday outfit thing that a repeated outfit can become iconic to You. I have a christmas sweater with skulls wearing santa hats and my santa hat is a plaid. everyone loves them, its my christmas look. my mom for the longest time had a white sparkly santa had and snowflake tshirt. it was her look for years and years until they got too old to wear. the only thing i buy ever year is pjs and thats because i wear them out by wearing them all year
Baccarat Rouge is an example of an overhyped perfume that I personally do not get. I always wanted it because of the hype, had the chance to try it a Neiman’s one day and even after wearing it for several hours was still just like “meh”. There is nothing about it that is worth the high price tag for me personally so I’m glad I didn’t jump the gun and buy it
I feel the same way! I got a dupe of a it and was really excited about it at first because it is very close to the original and got to experience a $300 perfume. It's nice, and I appreciate that I have it but wouldn't buy it with my own money.
I tend to only hit the BF sales for Christmas gifts I know I'm already buying. I go in with a list to check if I can get them any cheaper on BF and if not, then nothing gets bought on black Friday. Most deals aren't as good as they claim. I tend to save things on Amazon and I watch over October the prices creep up and then suddenly the "deal" on black Friday is just what it cost 6 weeks ago
I bought a stitch Christmas sweater last year and I'm sooooo happy to wear it again. This sweater makes so many people happy just because there is stitch with a Christmas hat on it
I don’t know if this will be helpful for others, but instead of planners (my old obsession) I started using a basic legal pad. I tend to move it around my house throughout the day and use it for whatever I need in the moment. Sometimes it’s a diary, sometimes it’s a grocery list, sometimes it’s a meal planner, etc. because it’s not an expensive fancy book, it doesn’t matter if it’s messy or I decide to scrap the page.
Honestly I feel it's never bad to get talked out of buying stuff 😂😅 to make you take a second look. Of course it's also important to know when you need to stop overthinking which I tend to do 😕and finally make a decision to purchase. It's a higher art form in this world 😂I try very hard to think for myself and weigh pros and cons but I still clearly get influenced by other people all the time. It's part of human nature and our social needs to listen and take into account other people. We have to be very conscious all the time about what is influencing us....
Thank you for this!! I was just trying to resist falling into a spending hole, I have more important things I need the money for. I already bought somethingnbut I can stop now before it gets worse 😂
Love the idea of creating your own adventure calendars with the stuff you own! I have an old David’s Tea/matcha advent calendar box and I plan on putting my holiday Nespresso pods in there. (I know, I know, with the pods… if anyone has a hack on how to use your own coffee grounds with the nespresso machine, I’m all ears, but it is what stops me from getting coffee from a coffee shop!)
I am paying the price of being influenced to buy fragrances and scented candles. Strong scents actually give me a headache! 😅 I have enough to last me a couple years.
Put on my wax melter for a first time in a month while listening to this. Pro tip: you can remake your tea lights by getting wicks, saving up the used tea light tins and the wax that lost its scent to create more tea lights! Ive not bought any in about five years because of this 😅
Instead of getting the perfume I decided to save the money on some overalls that I got today. I'm so glad I did because I already know myself and know that I won't use it because it was too expensive and like you said, I don't even know if I like the smell or not, and there's nothing wrong with using a perfume that is ""out of style"", I just want to smell good lol so there's absolutely nothing wrong with just using the perfume that I have, and I felt soooo relieved after I came to that conclusion Instead I got the overalls (second-hand) and I know that I will use them a lot, plus I just cleaned and donated most of my clothes from my closet so, the overalls will come in handy :)
My animals have been needing very expensive trips to the vet recently so I’m in no place to shop right now- this year I’ve also splurged more in online shopping that I’ve needed to and it’s all catching up to me this month. Really wishing I had saved all year like I usually do so I could enjoy holiday shopping now 😅
For the Pokémon card point, I think it is important to know why you want packs. I have ADHD and for 2 years I was only focused on all things Pokemon related. I employed the tactic of gradually increasing spending amounts, but that just ended up with me spending way above my means on something that does not make me happy anymore. I know a main part of why I enjoyed packs was to feel that rush of adrenaline like gambling. Additionally, there is so much freaking waste in packs or set collection (packaging, power type cards, duplicates) and it is hard to 1. Find people to trade your duplicates with cus they will probably be in the same boat 2. Sell cards (without going through the tcg grading system)
I love your videos, and I was wondering if you could do a video about perfume overconsumption. I have a problem with that, and would love to see a breakdown!
I like your comment about doing research. And looking into what you already have. And if maybe what we have does not work for us or is perfectly fine. Or is there anything else that improves what we have... Like certain tools. foundations are so hugely affected by your base and tools. It can make a big difference so it's always worth trying out different primers /tools to make it work. If the issue is that a shade is really off that's a different matter and I don't think people should force themselves to walk around w a mismatched face. That negates the point of wearing a foundation 😅or maybe your skincare doesn't work... Your skin is important for your health and deserves to be well cared for. So you should never use any skincare when it's negatively affecting you or not giving you the benefits you need. But that's different than buying all the new moisturisers that all do the same thing and add nothing.
i have found a lot of kobos second hand for only around €20, this could be a good option. me and both my parents have kobos that are all at least 8 years old and we use them all the time, they're still going strong. we don't use any features though, literally just download a book and read, but I'd strongly recommend as it saves so much space and its really easy to take on the go
I bought a nice blue bag for my study supplies and a new pencil case for black Friday. But I had been doing what you suggest! Where you think about it and use what you already have. It had been in my cart for a few months. I also talked it over with my spouse and he agreed it would be a good idea and we planned on purchasing it during black Friday week. Thankful for your insight on how we think about our spending. Asking those questions like: is this something I will use? Do I really need this or am I just want to impulse buy? Also talking it over with your partner and having that communication. Learning so much and love your videos!!!!!🎉
OMG YUS candles get me alot 😢 I have 10 candles from some from fall 2 years ago when i got them on clearance out of season. 6 additional candles are actually at the bottom and need to be deculttered I definitely will just scoop up clearance candles again for spring summer if I can, but if not, i have plenty. I just realize now i use them very slowly.
I was just deliberating getting one of the Shoppers perfume sets w/ the voucher (I'm not even into perfumes that much?! But I have been influenced lately 👀) lo and behold, the first thing you talk about is perfumes so thank you for that 😂
Hi on replay. I burn candles all year round .I light in the am and put it out in the pm before I go to bed. I enjoy the scents that I buy yes some are seasonal. This is common by a lot of my friends and family. When I grew up my mother and grandmother had candles burning to acknowledge the passing of a family member very lit daily for years. This is very common in many cultures. I believe for me it is part where my love of candles come from. Note also I work from home. In regards to e reader,I have owned over the years I find it cheaper than buying actual books and finding a place for storage of the books.
if you need a halfway point re: fragrance, try buying secondhand. perfume is expensive but people overbuy a lot. that means you can find it often on secondhand markets, even halfway used, at an actual discount. i do this of i'm uncertain i'm gonna enjoy a fragrance and, if i don't, i can trade with a friend who loves perfume as well. anyway, i have five perfumes and this amount lasts like a year for me, so i don't need and won't be buying any until at least a couple of them are empty, so no black friday sephora sale for me
All that and also, if you have the means and only then, live a little. For example, true, advent calendars aren't a good investment - but they're part of a tradition, they're little treats just for you and can bring you closer to your kids. Not everything has to be absolutely useful - again, IF you're not in debts.
I think the temptation also comes from being influenced online and then the convenience of ordering online. Research is everything! I ordered two pairs of boots that I was very excited for. They were not comfortable or good quality compared to the single pair I found in-store. I would’ve saved time and money if I initially went to try them on myself.
I’m not tempted to participate in Black Friday. I gave up the black Friday shenanigans a good 10+ years ago. I don’t miss it mostly because the stuff isn’t that good anymore and the deals just aren’t that good at all. I admit that I shop year round & if there’s something I want or need, I get it, BUT I did do a 6 month no buy at the beginning of this year so that was a big accomplishment for me. I typically start my Christmas shopping in July and I have a list of people I like to buy for and things they might have mentioned or need and so I squirrel things away so that I’m usually done with my Christmas shopping by December 1st and then I just don’t feel the pressure. I can just focus on decorating and cooking and baking and listening to Christmas music. The day after Thanksgiving for me is mostly about having brunch with my family and setting my Christmas trees and decor. A good tip is that it also helps to set a little bit of money aside every month so that when the time comes for me to Christmas shop, I already have an envelope with money designated for this specific reason. It helps to keep a budget.
Also, I see nothing wrongwith re-wearing the same stuff every year. I like my wardrobe, and I tend to wear the same things over and over and no one has ever given me any type of crap about it. Traditions are nice!
Candles, I have none. Sadly, I can’t burn them because they make me sneeze. Can’t use hardly any perfume either so not tempted by those. Ah, planners, those are an issue 😅. I am NOT buying any. I will never use them…I know this. I always wind up just using a simple notebook. I have two unused so I will just use those. Holiday themed clothes…I have an obnoxious green colored holiday Bon Jovi “ugly Christmas” sweater. I wear it every year. I don’t think it’s ugly 🤭
Okay, I get the hobby spending. But I got into snowboarding, and it requires a lot of gear. I mean once you have it, you don’t need to buy for a few years. However you do need most of the gear for the sport, otherwise you’re gonna be cold or incredibly uncomfortable.
I did this with the lancomb la vista belle perfume or whatever it’s called lol I ordered a huge bottle cause it had so many people writing reviews and loving it and once I got it gave me the worse headache every time I sprayed it 😆
To me having a tablet and then buying an ereader feels redundant? But I don’t have a tablet and read on my phone so I’m not the target audience. I’ve discovered that I can get a lot of pleasure in buying things I do need which has been great. I just replaced my small skillet which I needed to do years ago and that brought me some happiness and filled an actual need not just a want! And I bought it at IKEA and I didn’t come home with anything I didn’t need which was an accomplishment in itself 😂
My daughter is 12 and is always requesting perfumes without smelling because they are viral on TikTok. I decided to buy her the perfume sample pack from ulta for Christmas that has the one she wants plus other so she can choose which one she likes. So then for her birthday, she can ask for whichever one she wants. Then no one is buying her example perfume just for her not to like it.
Such a good video! I have a kindle paper white and definitely prefer my phone… it’s easier hold, I only have to take device with me and for some reason my kindle makes my eyes tired when my phone doesn’t which is weird because I thought that was one of the kindle pros was easy on the eyes. Also, I’ve stopped buying a planner every year because I have a shelf full from years past. What am I supposed to do with them after that year? Now I use a dotted journal which is way slimmer, completely customizable and fits like 4 years in one book.
I just spent a nausea-inducing amount of money on buying a house, and I haven't sold my old house yet, so, for once, I'm not actually tempted to spend money this Black Friday because I have no money left.
I’m always genuinely shocked when I see or hear these stories about people who have these mega collections of fragrance. Until I started watching videos like these I didn’t even realize that this was such an issue or such a big thing! I’ve always had just a small collection of fragrances that I really enjoy that I know personally smell good on me. That’s always been more than enough. They last for years so I can’t imagine trying to use up so much fragrance. Plus if you don’t want it to change in formulation or scent you have to properly store it. Perfume is pretty pricey too, to me it’s a a splurge and only when I use up a favorite I have. Why on earth would anyone be buying fragrance without smelling it on themselves first is beyond me 🤔.
I have only one candle and when it runs out i think i'll just buy one from the dollar store. Or steal one from my moms house when i go over for holidays since she has a ton she doesn't use
I’m currently having an allergy scare and could be me developing oral allergy syndrome. Being referred to immunology for it to be investigated further. That has single-handedly helped me reduce my trying of products. I have a few ideas of what could be triggers and they are very common which cuts out a lot of options. I have found the want to obsessively research and shop but trying products is way riskier than using what I know my skin accepts. Idk if I’d recommend this method (who tf wants allergies??) but very effective 🤣💀
If you have back stock of items to last you until summer 2025, you do not need more babe! ❤ this is your call to action to donate to local charities instead of getting a dr dennis gross face mask 😂
Can we normalize not wearing fragrances in public? No matter how “subtle” you think it is, it’s not. I’m glad it makes you happy, but your nose goes blind to it quickly, but then strangers have to smell your scent. Please just wear it at home.
Guys, if I have like... 7 body sprays 2 random perfumes I barely use and one that's almost empty, should I get my favorite perfume that's $30 normal price when I have the body spray of the exact same scent?
Hi! I wanted your opinion on now that I’ve become a lot more conscious of a consumer I find that I’m struggling to buy things that I need. And I know often needs and wants are conflated but in this case it’s for example like clothing is ripped beyond repair and I’m struggling to repurchase or shop even when I really just could use the item for all the “right” reasons. Do you ever struggle with sort of the extreme on the other end of shopping? Does purchasing in general feel guilt ridden and intimidating? I would love to know y’all’s thoughts.
I have a little son, so I can not burn candles Like I did a few years ago. But people give them to me everytime there is a celebration 😭😭😭 in Germany, people love to give candles and mugs as Gifts 🥲 especially in the colder seasons
I literally started watching this video while opening my amazon package. Ordered a new perfume, that I already tried once. Still have 8 others though, so no more new perfume for a long while. If I would have seen this earlier you probably would've talked me out of it🫡 Also bought a kindle, but it's my first one and now I don't have to buy physical books anymore so genuinly very happy with it. My plan for BF was only buying an ereader and got a nice deal so very happy with it.
One look at my bank account is all the de influencing I need

I love the idea of reframing repeating a holiday outfit as creating a tradition!
I own a Home Alone themed Christmas sweater that I wear every year at work and people are happy to see me in it every year, they remember and they enjoy seeing it again.
I also lend it to my friend every year because she doesn't want to buy one so we both wear the same sweater to our respective jobs
I love that you lent it to your friend and you both get a little festive sweater. This is so fun!!

I’m saving for a very specific dress and I keep asking myself “do I want this more than I want that dress” every time I want to impulse buy an item.
I love that you're doing that!!
@nicoletaelor279 this is amazing i will try and keep this in mind when i wanna spend
That's soo clever! I need to do this every time I want to buy something! Thanks so much for writing that comment 💜
Your delaying instant gratification that's so good for the brain 🧠

I don’t remember where I heard it, but the phrase “consumables should not be collectible” has really stuck with me. Things like perfume, makeup, skincare, even food, are not meant to be collected in huge quantities because they have a limited time before they expire. It’s helped me a lot thinking “will I be able to use this up before it expires?” before buying new consumables!

Thank you so much for doing this! I need to be down to earth and it's so difficult:(
You're wonderful, sending you tons of love!!❤❤❤

This is slightly off-topic, but I have a de-influencing tip for buying new clothes: (ESPECIALLY FOR ADHD BRAINS!!!)
To keep your closet fun and fresh, switch everything out seasonally.
I really wanted to do you justice so I'm glad it helped even it was a little!
Such a calm voice..
This channel has saved me so much money, no joke. 😂❤
Wholeheartedly agree on the first one.
The first segment of this video was all I needed 😭
Not you starting with perfumes...🤣🤣🤣
I am genuinely so sorry that this was not helpful
The issue with card collecting is it can tap into the feeling of “gambling” because unless you are paying for a specific card, you’re really just buying packs and hoping for the card you’re looking for.
I needed this video!
Fragrances are my weakness. However, since setting a budget, i feel infinitely less tempted.
I wear four different scents, and I'm really enjoying using them down.
I feel like with the holiday outfit thing that a repeated outfit can become iconic to You. I have a christmas sweater with skulls wearing santa hats and my santa hat is a plaid. everyone loves them, its my christmas look. my mom for the longest time had a white sparkly santa had and snowflake tshirt. it was her look for years and years until they got too old to wear. the only thing i buy ever year is pjs and thats because i wear them out by wearing them all year
Works for halloween too! I immediately began singing“ This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween…” when I read this
@@jessfrisk3585 yes exactly!!
Ive not bought any in about five years because of this 😅
Shawna will you do a video on ‘Burr baskets’?🤍
it's already filmed ;)
Yaay 🎉
And then valentine baskets, st. Patrick’s day baskets, Easter baskets, mom’s day baskets - Gosh help us all!.,
Instead of getting the perfume I decided to save the money on some overalls that I got today. I'm so glad I did because I already know myself and know that I won't use it because it was too expensive and like you said, I don't even know if I like the smell or not, and there's nothing wrong with using a perfume that is ""out of style"", I just want to smell good lol so there's absolutely nothing wrong with just using the perfume that I have, and I felt soooo relieved after I came to that conclusion
Instead I got the overalls (second-hand) and I know that I will use them a lot, plus I just cleaned and donated most of my clothes from my closet so, the overalls will come in handy :)
i just keep on procrastinating buying stuff a lot of the time tbh, just being lazy
Additionally, there is so much freaking waste in packs or set collection (packaging, power type cards, duplicates) and it is hard to
1. Find people to trade your duplicates with cus they will probably be in the same boat
2. Sell cards (without going through the tcg grading system)
It ended with me having boxes of cards taking up my room and stressing me out.
thank you so much for sharing this!!
@@shawnaripariyou're welcome, Shawna :) your vids have changed my life for the better so THANK YOU!
OMG YUS candles get me alot 😢
I have 10 candles from some from fall 2 years ago when i got them on clearance out of season. 6 additional candles are actually at the bottom and need to be deculttered
I definitely will just scoop up clearance candles again for spring summer if I can, but if not, i have plenty. I just realize now i use them very slowly.
paused my impulse shopping till that video comes.. so happyyyyy T.T
So glad to hear you use your candles and have built a ritual or habit around something you love
Thank you for touching on weight fluctuations and how that affects your wardrobe!
if you need a halfway point re: fragrance, try buying secondhand. perfume is expensive but people overbuy a lot. that means you can find it often on secondhand markets, even halfway used, at an actual discount. i do this of i'm uncertain i'm gonna enjoy a fragrance and, if i don't, i can trade with a friend who loves perfume as well. anyway, i have five perfumes and this amount lasts like a year for me, so i don't need and won't be buying any until at least a couple of them are empty, so no black friday sephora sale for me
This had the opposite effect. I haven't worn perfume in 15 years and now I'm thinking about getting some haha.
Great video though
Traditions are nice!
thank you for sharing your experience here!
Whenever I look at a piece of clothing or maybe a body spray of something I think “would I wear or use this or does it just look pretty?”
Also no one talks about the origin of Black Friday.
Okay, I get the hobby spending. But I got into snowboarding, and it requires a lot of gear. I mean once you have it, you don’t need to buy for a few years. However you do need most of the gear for the sport, otherwise you’re gonna be cold or incredibly uncomfortable.
Amazon started by selling books. that was the original goal.
Thank goodness i needed this NEOW
I hope it helps!
I did this with the lancomb la vista belle perfume or whatever it’s called lol I ordered a huge bottle cause it had so many people writing reviews and loving it and once I got it gave me the worse headache every time I sprayed it 😆
I have 3 candles. I am working through burning ALL the backlog of candles. I have vowed only to purchase when i have burned through all of them.
I wear holiday scrubs lol
Oh and my kindle is so much slower!
Dillard's also does perfume sample viles!
I just spent a nausea-inducing amount of money on buying a house, and I haven't sold my old house yet, so, for once, I'm not actually tempted to spend money this Black Friday because I have no money left.
Please I need to know what you keep in that bath and body works bag behind you. I know it sounds dumb but I’ve been wondering for months. Nice video!
Why on earth would anyone be buying fragrance without smelling it on themselves first is beyond me 🤔.
...and then Shawna breaks out the scentbird ad! Ahaha! Jk
my problem are workout leggings, which I use for years.
Lovely haircut!
Something similar is happening to me right now!! I get how you're feeling because same 😭
Also about parfume, it gets bad with time, it can change and smell weird after a while
If you have back stock of items to last you until summer 2025, you do not need more babe! ❤ this is your call to action to donate to local charities instead of getting a dr dennis gross face mask 😂
You look a lot like Sue Heck from the TV show "The Middle".
But people give them to me everytime there is a celebration 😭😭😭 in Germany, people love to give candles and mugs as Gifts 🥲 especially in the colder seasons
thank you legend i really needed this 🫶🏼
I literally started watching this video while opening my amazon package.
