yup, i think if it sells enough, they might think of doing it on other handle materials and maybe with a button lock, not sure if thumbstuds would be considered as it would ruin the clean lines of the knife on which i totally admire the determination and solution of the designer to have carried all the way to the production model. I ordered one and if they do one with g10, button lock and in Magnacut, i would consider buying another, but i don't know how much that would up the price of course.
I just ordered the Momo... I WISH it wasn't a liner-lock and I already know the clip is gonna suck but... man it just looks SO cool and that front flipper sold me. Now do one with a button or clutch-lock with canvas Micarta scales Kizer!!! The Nebula/Clutch-lock Sheepdog is next but I've gotta recoup from a Spyderco buying spree. Great vid as always man, cheers.
Nice looking group o' knives. Really digging the Banish as a small carry. _Nice to see them still using that stamped garbage clip on the sheepdog..._ Looking forward to replacing the clip on mine.
You mention different steels performing best with different grits. I love that you do it but can never remember them. I wish I had a spreadsheet table of your preferences for each steel.
Kizer is just not stopping their march up in the knife world, they’re making some absolutely bangers (forgiving the odd what was they thinking number) they have definitely made a big place in my own collection ( as have so many more or if honest too many lol) my comments might be out of time with when I seen the upload Jerad as I viewed the upload on the TV but I can’t leave a comment on there so here it is as we all know the comments get that algorithm rocking and rolling tidy for you brother. Have a beautiful day/night J&K as always stay safe and healthy both🫵😘👍
I saw the Vanish (the slipjoint version) last year and was put off by the price. As soon as I saw the Banish a few days ago, I just *had to* know how much it cost. Very glad this one is sub $50. I've only seen it available for pre-order at Knife Center so far, but I am definitely interested...
If you dig the shape at all, I can't suggest highly enough the clutch lock sheepdog. (Pocket clip can seem a tad flimsy). I prefer the button lock on the drop bear. I think it's the lighter blade for me. Cormorant is great, if a bit bizarro on the blade profile lol My mad tanto has some button stick issues, but I've not taken it a part to see if I can smooth it out. Should be able to though. Fun, useful carry but I'm glad I've plenty others to pick from for my primary. I'm sure I've a couple more but I can't think of which right now. 🤘🏼✌🏽
That OBK is pretty cool, looks almost like a materials and lock upgrade for the Rat 2. The new Sheepdogs are awesome, but I especially think the Nebula Clutch Lock is possible the sickest SD to date! Another crazy strong month from Kizer
I dont own a kizer but the designs they are picking up speak to me, that momo is fire and there options for wharncliffe's are right up my alley. Best of all price is reasonable in this market, like $130 for brass handled 3V wharnys......waaaaa
These knives a are cool enuf no doubt . Whats to keep the blade from coming down on ur fingers while griping around or on the lock button . Im a guitar player n tht wouldn't be good . Diggin the channel .
Neeves Knives I want to ask you abou the Sub3 OBK in black aluminum. Is the aluminum smooth or it's mossy like the black pocket with the microfiber cloth in it? I have one black Kizer which is mossy just like the poket.
Man, I was so excited for the Kizer big boy. But why in the love of God name it "mo-mo". They must not know, lol. Still might get it, hehe. Uhg they even put "mo-mo" on it. Maybe we will get a mini version called "half a mo-mo. Would be killer
I don't understand why these companies don't start doing hard anodized Aluminum scales, it doesn't make any sense if they just do hard anodizing on 6061 or 7075 Aluminum it would wear amazingly well Like it would be stupid tough and long lasting. I have high quality hard anodized aluminum cookware and if taken care or it will last a life time. Hard anodized aluminum needs to start being a thing in the knife world.
Probably the same reason they don't put hollow grinds on everything. They throw out models and if it catches on they do another more "premium" version to stroke yah. 👍
I mean protech microtech ..... but yeah no reason not to I th9nk it's just a qc issues and they would have a lot of loss. A bit more work to machine.... ther are old benchmades with a lot of flat aluminum... I even have one with cast aluminum its great
i wish all pocket clips were designed by the knife designer to match the knife. it feels like it’s an afterthought because sometimes the pocket clip is in the wrong place and switching it just a little bit makes it so much better.
Button locks are some of the safest to close because u can close them without ever having ur fingers in the way. If ur talking about the bogus spine wack tests people are doing, all I'm gonna way about that is when are u ever actually putting pressure on a knifes spine? As long as ur being responsible I think button locks are fine. If ur skipping out on button locks u are seriously missing out. They are super fun knives.
@@Quagmire925 actually, after half a dozen spine surgeries and a ton of nerve damage, yes I do. I break glass and knock shit over. I can't tell how much pressure I'm applying to some of blade sometimes, so can pop the blade closed on the back of my thumb when I disengage a frame or liner lock. So I do care about finger safe locks.
chinas micarta is starting to feel cheap to me. i still prefer it to the aluminum but once you get a hold of some premium micarta its hard not to notice the budget stuff. what a time to be a collector though when these are the things that bother me.
The aluminum scale trend makes me sad. I thought we had long moved past aluminum as a scale material. I prefer warmer materials like Micarta. If I'm going to have a metal handle, I at least want it to be titanium.
😩 why did they make it a front flipper 😢 makes a gorgeous knife look so tacky with that giant ass horn sticking out the top. That knife is begging for a GiantMouse/vox type of flipper tab and no front flipper
That MOMO is seriously cool. Love the 4 plus inch blade and that it can double as a folding kitchen knife. Very cool. Thanks for showing us these!
That Momo is gorgeous, I just wish they had a version with G10 handle scales as opposed to aluminum.
yup, i think if it sells enough, they might think of doing it on other handle materials and maybe with a button lock, not sure if thumbstuds would be considered as it would ruin the clean lines of the knife on which i totally admire the determination and solution of the designer to have carried all the way to the production model. Banish is absolutely sweet....gotta grab one of the MoMo's it's my daughter's nickname she is going to think it's neat
I just ordered the Momo... I WISH it wasn't a liner-lock and I already know the clip is gonna suck but... man it just looks SO cool and that front flipper sold me. So what's up with Mojave Outdoors? Are they closing? Website is inactive.
I'm thinkin I could use that Sheepdog for a good chock block for my Jeep...
Loving thst brass
That first knife looks awesome. Not too much a front flipper fan but this would change my mind. I have a kizer in 3v and love it
Does your 3V have any rust spots?
Kizer Tomcat still one of my favorites. Kizer makes a great knife.
I love the Tomcat!
@gregs7519 I'll get on to a review of some of the old ones in my collection. Hope to see you over there. I'll try to get it in in the next week or so.
@@bombink1968 that would be awesome! Looking forward to it
It less than 5 seconds to immediately love this knife. Wow, just wow.

Thanks for the video.
Great video, very informative for me! Great knives from Kizer, thank you Neeves!
easily overall best knife brand. With variety in styles, locks, materials and good quality.
Love the Kizer Momo
Hey J, Big E here. Are you n kara goin to Bladeshow ftw???? Null knives will be there. Oh yeah

If the momo was a button lock flipper, I'd consider it.
I have to try a kizer. Thanks Jared

That Kizer is dope! So sleek and pointy!
I dont own a kizer but the designs they are picking up speak to me, that momo is fire and there options for wharncliffe's are right up my alley. Best of all price is reasonable in this market, like $130 for brass handled 3V wharnys......waaaaa

Kizer just consistently kills it. Especially in their price range, I can't think of any other companies with the variety they put out.
The Momo and the last Sheepdog are badass.
Neeves Knives I want to ask you abou the Sub3 OBK in black aluminum. Is the aluminum smooth or it's mossy
like the black pocket with the microfiber cloth in it? I have one black Kizer which is mossy just like the poket.
Kizer been KILLIN the knife game!!! 🔪

Kizer MoMo, I bet it was named after me.
Asher spiro crossbar lock is solid af
The Momo is a Tashi Barucha clone sans the oversized flipper tab. Shalom
Momo is interesting but my OCD hates the location of the pivot as it isn t in the middle
Thanks Jerad
Damn that momo is wicked
I like the Momo !! ^^
I have about a dozen kizer knives if you include the oknife that they make for them too.
I don't understand why these companies don't start doing hard anodized Aluminum scales, it doesn't make any sense if they just do hard anodizing on 6061 or 7075 Aluminum it would wear amazingly well Like it would be stupid tough and long lasting. Agreed!
Keys hanging off my belt wear out the back of my knife hanging out with the clip. Dings and rips all that anodizing off
I totally agree! Been wondering the same thing. Even been wondering why OG doesn’t do more of it.
Probably the same reason they don't put hollow grinds on everything. They throw out models and if it catches on they do another more "premium" version to stroke yah. 👍

brass : 8.470 g/cm3
steel : 7.85 g/cm3
thats why full brass scales would make this knife heavy
Momo....yes please
What happens exactly you sharpen near the plunge grind? Does the knife become too thick to be useable?
more of a cosmetic issue, gives the knife a "smile"
9:35 and the King said ..."Bring me my blade." 🤴🤴🤴
You have a tape measurer, maybe a digital scale $10 Amazon?
Like that momo!
I wonder if they would pass the spine whack test. . .
Can't find the momo ? 😔 want it !
i wish all pocket clips were designed by the knife designer to match the knife. it feels like it’s an afterthought because sometimes the pocket clip is in the wrong place and switching it just a little bit makes it so much better.
One of the only things holding me back on the Vanish and similar models is wanting finger safe lock. The Banish is exactly what I'd want!
What do u mean a finger safe lock?
Do u mean because its a button lock?
Button locks are some of the safest to close because u can close them without ever having ur fingers in the way. If ur talking about the bogus spine wack tests people are doing, all I'm gonna way about that is when are u ever actually putting pressure on a knifes spine? As long as ur being responsible I think button locks are fine. If ur skipping out on button locks u are seriously missing out. They are super fun knives.
Can’t close a knife! 😂
Bet you use a no spill drinky cup
@@Quagmire925 actually, after half a dozen spine surgeries and a ton of nerve damage, yes I do. I break glass and knock shit over. Are you talking the grit on venev stones ?
Second one looks like a Benchmade griptillian with a decent handle
It's clearly a Freek.
The momo is SICK. And the Jacob Lundquist Banish is ALSO soooo sick. Hes my favorite knife designer
The sheepdog is cool either way but it would be alot cooler if it did have a full grind
chinas micarta is starting to feel cheap to me. i still prefer it to the aluminum but once you get a hold of some premium micarta its hard not to notice the budget stuff. what a time to be a collector though when these are the things that bother me.
Is that aluminum on the first knife slick or does it feel powdery? That thing is huge. I don’t know of any front flippers that huge
That first knife is classyyyyy as F!
great options for chefs on the move.
Nice...Neeves naace
I love Kizer, but the knives I find myself liking the most are never lefty friendly.
That kizer momo makes me want to go for a picnic and make sandwiches lol. Idk why but I'd like to see a comparison between the momo vs the doberman.
Kizee has been making sick knives for years people are absolutely sleeping on that Huntsman. It's awesome
I haven’t been able to find Huntsmen in stock so I don’t think people slept on it.
Ya im just waiting for it to come back in stock
That Kizer Momo looks absolutely killer-but 154CM tho? Ughh
4:06. Griptillian killer?
The aluminum scale trend makes me sad. I thought we had long moved past aluminum as a scale material. I prefer warmer materials like Micarta. If I'm going to have a metal handle, I at least want it to be titanium.
The second one looks a lil "freaky" to me
😩 why did they make it a front flipper 😢 makes a gorgeous knife look so tacky with that giant ass horn sticking out the top. That knife is begging for a GiantMouse/vox type of flipper tab and no front flipper
The Momo would have been the greatest knife of all time, if it was just 7.5 inches long.
Kizer's 10v was a joke or at least the one I got. 7cr will out cut it! It's so soft surgical steel is better! Made 10v look bad
Which one did you get? I have the Sheepdog in 10V
The banish is the perfect competition for the mini pyrite and the baby banter wharny.
Nooooooooo, not another knife thats fromt flipper only. I just cant do it
Jesus christ, COULD THEY STOP IT WITH THE 48 BAJILLION SHEEPDOGS?!
It's kinda their best selling model of all time. So that's like asking Honda to cut it out with the Civic or Accord
“Sharpening choils” catch on cutting materials. Not good unless not really using knife as intended, a cutting tool.
The plunge grind these days is non-existent. There's too many knives
The first one was sort of ok.
But the rest are sooooo old now....
Kara is going to take that Banish from you
We need some more Sheepdog variants!!
nope
I dont see what you see. Nothing to write home about.
That's ok I have plenty of other videos that might be more your taste
Pocket Clips = Hot Spots. Face it! Just do away with that useless feature!
Come on! These assholes are just copying Spyderco's ffg!
Chinese fest continues on these USA knife channels
I just posted a full usa made knife video, the video I posted today has usa made knives in it also
