There were a lot of great Twilight Zone episodes about nuclear bunkers and paranoia, like "The Shelter" and "One More Pallbearer," plus several more about nuclear apocalypse in general.
I love how they actually kept the OG Interplay intro for Galaxy News from the first 2 games. They could've just make a different one; a cartoon style or whatnot. Yet they keep they original anyways and its such good fan service.

I tried the number. It's just some guy screaming. I think it's Walt Goggins, or maybe him doing Cooper Howard. Not sure if that means the vault was attacked, or someone lamenting that the bomb was dropped.

If Vault-Tec wasn't conducting any crazy experiments for any of the vaults they built, I wouldn't have had any doubts to let them take all my money just to be inside of a vault
Some vaults had capacity for around 1000 people, and he mentions that it's only one corridor that holds 200 neighbors, there are probably other residential halls.
I know the opening for Ep1 is absolutely perfect with how they introduce the audience with the current state of the world and the bombs, but goddamn this opening would also be kickass. Hell, it would fit perfectly as an intro in the games as well.
For a 50s styled evil corporation, it’s a little surprising to see them include an interracial couple in a pre color TV ad. I guess evil is an equal opportunity hirer…
The in universe cultural mentality was stuck in the 1950’s. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t racial progress in the course of that 127 year period. It was just likely it all happened slower and a lot less forcefully (race riots, exc…). The backstories in the games heavily suggest this, otherwise they would have only had white people existing in most of the vaults.
Even in a real commercial from such a silly time frame of mind, they never would have just chucked one of those cigs out to the side... would they? Was common littering also okay in the 50s.
Goggins killed the role playing 2 versions of the same character.
He owned the show every time he was on screen
it wasn't two versions though, they are the same person. The only thing that changed was time.
So far apart in time you could almost say they were a different version of them selves

Doesn't hurt that Cooper Howard is literally the Marlboro Man.
This looks like a Twilight Zone episode with Rod Serling narrating the story 😂
Oh man I’d kill for a twilight zone with Walton goggims as rod sterling
@@theojenner1902 That would be so awesome! I would be interested in watching it as well. 😁

They really nailed the 1950s vibes, amazing how well they understood the games

Can I dream of a proper Robocop movie with Walton Goggins as Murphy? He looks a lot like 1980s Peter Weller.
Nope.
I can’t unsee it now that you have said it
That would be interesting but I always thought Paul Bethany would have made a good Alex Murphy in a true remake of Robocop.

I’m going to have watch Fallout again, it was that great.
I've also tried calling Carl's Drapes from Terminator Genisys, and the Better Call Saul number. Good stuff.
This actor is underrated
Its a real bomb dropper when you see this place folks!
He’s got a real Ronald Reagan vibe going on here
Yeahhh
Which is ironic considering the character development he goes through that stops him being blind to how screwed up the pre-war world is
I love he's selling the vault's amenities like it were a fancy new car.
He walks like Raylan Givens.
Of course. They dug coal together.
Boyd Crowder sure made some move ending up in them movies!

Omg if you dial this number you hear a message!!! Funny as hell

The galaxy news logo is the same as the Interplay logo who published the first Fallout games.
1:00: Um, Cooper, 3 feet of lead armor (or even half an inch of steel) shouldn’t sound hollow when you knock on it.
Vault-Tec's using those shady car salesman tactics.
