That is a beautiful outstanding amp. The drop in volume on the SATURATION switch is indicative of great things to come. I liked the sound of the amp alone very much, and then when Boosted...it goes beyond 11.
You can really hear that granular type distortion. That seven string sounded amazing.

I need this!! This is the absolute best and cleanest sounding distortion i have heard on an amp. Being from Louisiana i have and always will be a fan of the Randall sound and i think this amp would easily achieve that tone🤘

Sounds great! Although I wish amp makers would get away from the full-size amp box, at least for the 50 watt models. A lot of people are no longer using 4x12 cabs and these big heads don't look right on a narrower cabinet, as well as being bigger and heavier to lug around to gigs. I get that the 29" box is a classic form and looks killer on a 4x12 cab, but I think slightly smaller box like a Friedman Runt at 23" is nice in that it's a little easier to transport and fits better on other cab configs like 2x12 or wide 1x12s. But hey, just my .02. Thanks for another great demo!
Killer video! Finally got to see the clean channel in action. I would really like to see the Arcturus Delume demoed, to see how it compares to the Antares.

I'll take this over an SLO for the simple fact that on the overdrive channel, there's control for your rhythm and lead. I've passed on the SLO because you only get footswitchable control of the clean and the OD. I need 3 sounds on the floor...clean, crunch and heavy crunch-or- clean, heavy crunch and lead. I cannot make a compromise on that.
Actually the footswitch only goes between the clean and lead. The lead and crunch are different modes that are changed by the switch

Exactly. I wish Jarrod would have compared this to the Monomythimic Skeleton Key V2 amp. Like why did he even post a vid if he wasn't going to compare it to the OG........The Monolythmic Skeleton Key version 2? It's like all he can do is create 5150 Iconic tones!! Plus......only weak players need a boost pedal in front. I'm such a killer player that I need a "subtractor" pedal in front of the amp. I have to subtract from the amp or I will blow it sky high................

No way. This amp is way brighter than the JEL-20. In fact, Jahreed is going to to install a bright cap option on his JEL-20 to offset the darkness. Once he's done with that..........then he will install the pre-op negative boost circuit in the 12ay7 tube circuit to offset the brightness cap. Should make the amp sound exactly the same but heavily modded for max performance

Is the Crunch/Lead foot switchable?
No it is not. The reason I did not make it that way is that the crunch is not an independent channel from the lead. No separate tone stack, gain or master volume.

No. The builder wanted to limit the amps capabilties so that it was exactly like the SLO 100 circuit he copied. When you start adding flexibility to an amp you only introduce flexibilitioneous which can be a HUGE problem for those not wanting to be flexable.

It sounds awesome! And Yes. I wish more builders would make smaller headshells. Splawn figured out how to pack a HUGE sound in a mini headshell. I’d love a Mini headshell 50w version of this amp, No Clean, just crunch/lead on a switch like it is here, and add Neg Feedback knob. Similar to to the Splawn mini Comp with the modes, but crunch/lead, all the switches/knobs on this, and Add Response/Feedback knob instead of Solo. That would KILL on the market.
My Splawn Mini Comp is a terrific grab n go amp. 50w huge sound. It replaced my JJ100. More gain and thump and pissed off.

@@stevensloane Yeah if I remember correctly there were a few heads that were longer than cabinets some time back. I had a Marshall Mode Four I believe it was, like that about 20 year ago. I had it less than a month and the damn thing smoked out on me. haha! 30 days and they took it back.
