Thank you. I am taking a course in TIC and I found this video an interesting contribution to teachers trying to introduce fun and stimulation in her classes.
Nice job teacher, I can tell the students enjoy the class, you make it fun. Good for you. I teach English in Thailand I will definitely try some of these games tomorrow. Looking forward to more videos...
I'm just about to start my CELTA in a couple of weeks. These are such fun and great ideas for teaching. :) Especially the Password game - I always used to watch that old show that was on TV, I didn't even think about incorporating it into the classroom. Of course, it's the perfect way of getting people thinking about words and descriptions. :)
TEFL is a fantastic way to see the world on a budget, and games are a great classroom resource. For full training in this and other approaches, try ticket2teach
I will finish my degree (Bachelor of Science) in 2 years. I am very interested in teaching English in Thailand having visited before and falling in love with the country. I am a native speaker from England, currently 20 years old. Could anyone enlighten me as to the typical requirements to teach in Thailand? Do I require both a degree and TEFL certification? I would greatly appreciate any input - thank you in advance!
Sorry for the delayed response! We can't put links in comments, but you can simply search "BridgeTEFL" on Google and we should be the first site that pops up!
@IfritAxel You know, I have a similar problem, English is my L2 as well. I'm very shy about my accent and language schools favour native speakers. I think the only place you can teach English is my home country. But I would love to teach in other countries
@BridgeTEFL I would like to teach in Asia if possible. Somewhere non-western for a change. I also have some family that lives in that region of the world, so I can visit them much easier. But I'm not terribly picky. Thank you for your reply.
Well I wanted to investigate some of the institutes there are and I found two that I liked. One of them has contacted me and told me about China. Theres Bridge TEFL and then theres another one in Chicago. I don't know which one to go with. But China does seem good. I also want to know if I should get a CELTA or TEFL certificate?
@dalmain77 I would recommend Cambodia. They do not require a Bachelor's degree and you can live quite comfortably there. We offer a course there once a month. Take a look at our website for details! Kind regards, BridgeTEFL
I'm very shy. I'm not handsome. I don't have a BA. I don't have any CELTA or TEFL certs at the moment. But I would like to teach abroad. It really interests me. Do I have any hope? I can get a certification by taking a course. That is probably the easiest requirement I can fill now.
I will be completeing my bachelor's degree in 2 years and I will have about $40,000 in debt. What country would allow me to save the most, and what degree should I get? BA or BS, and what are good majors for TEFL?
Excuse me, could somebody tell me the name of the first game? That's very interesting. If possible, recommend me some link, too, about that game. :) thanks, everyone..
I'm currently studying for a TESOL diploma in Malaysia. Any opportunities out there for an Asian who speaks English as a first language, Tamil as a second & Malay as a third?
I've been looking at a lot of places in South Korea and oddly enough lots are asking for a FOUR year degree..... I assume that it's an American thing but in England the common degree is only 3 years and technical subjects like IT or engineering have an additional work placement year which makes it 4. I'm going to get a CELTA certificate as well so hopefully that'll help.... does anyone know anything about the whole 4 year degree thing? any comments and responses would be appreciated.
i hope >>i can attend funny class like that..teaching by fun is the most benefit nd usful way f teachn Iv attended speaking class before bt th T ws speaking al the tim nd we jst lesn nd finish Exs ): poor me ):
@thepigofhappiness Hello, Hello, Most employers are looking for a Bachelor's degree, which would be a 4 year degree in the US and a 3 year degree in the UK. Do you know where you want to take your CELTA yet? We offer it many great locations! Kind regards, BridgeTEFL

Hi. I'm graduating as a Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in English student from the Philippines and I would like to teach English abroad. I have already tutored Koreans because of an English Language Proficiency Immersion Program their school hosted in partnership with our university but I'd love to interact with more people from all over the globe by helping them reach out to the world in English. How could I turn this dream into a reality?
Zeke Recto Hi there! There are many programs all over the world that need English teachers! You could try the Fulbright Program, which is very competitive and prestigious, but is certainly worth trying! There are programs like Interexchange you can look into as well...www.interexchange.org/working-abroad/teaching-program/teach-english-abroad
@dalmain77 Hello Dalmain77, Where would you like to teach? While many places do require a Bachelor's degree, not all do. We offer the IDELT certification course in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. If you take the course in the country you want to teach in, you will find it much easier to find work there. Once you've completed the IDELT, we provide job placement assistance. Please contact us for more information! Thanks, BridgeTEFL

These look like fun activities! Thank you for posting them! I am still in college, but am getting certified in ESL. =D
It depends entirely on where you want to go. Some countries do require degrees, others do not.

Of course you can. Each country and each school does have it's own requirements which you would have to fill.

Actually it's an older video and the sound is poor and makes her sound like she has a lisp, but she does not!
my Japanese students are too gentle and uncompetitive to play these games, haha

If you're a first time teacher that would probably be Korea. I made some videos talking about how much you can make in Asia.
Games are an important part of teaching. I made a lot of videos of games and activities.

I was told that part of the reason for the need of a degree was for getting a Visa, is that true?
@BridgeTEFL Thank you!
Really interesting and useful! I´d just like to know the name of these games! Thanks in advance!!
I'm interested in TEFL and I just wanted to know if anyone can give me some advice from their experience?
