Buttonwillow does have a nice long left sweeping turn so not a bad choice. I know you said you prefer left over right, but willow springs might be another option for a right handed elbow drag?

Woodcot at Silverstone is 120 on road tyres. The GP boys are well beyond 140. Be interested to see how anyone knows for sure 105mph is the speed to beat? Second to last corner at Jerez is around 120 elbow down (if you’re that way inclined as well). Arrabiatta 1 ? I can’t see how anyone could be sure it’s a record without checking countless amounts of data 🤔🤔
There are for sure track that are faster and guys that will always be faster than I am, BUT this has never been attempted for the Guinness World Record Book. This will be an official attempt. Thanks for watching!

Meanwhile 1st motogp race of 2020 Marc marquez did the most epic knee/elbow drag at 150mph..
Saved it from crashing...the front end washed out @63 degree angle, then proceeded to dirt track the gravel pit. Marc is one of a kind
Then highsided at 100mph and broke his arm...had surgery and is now racing the following weekend😳
Oh, you'e coming to San Jose! You'll be in my area! Where you planning to do the road ride? San Jose is close to a lot of the really good roads around here. I'm partial to Mt. Hamilton and Mines Rd., but you'll also be close enough to the Santa Cruz mountains to pick up the bike, do a run over there, and be back to home base before sundown. Not sure how familiar you are with the roads in this area, but I've been riding here for 13 years, let me know if you have any questions. Glad to join as well if you'd like company. I've got a 2017 BMW S1000R, the super naked.

Down shifting with the clutch felt weird? I can see how it might feel weird racing if you are used to doing something else, so do you mean just on race bikes or all bikes? Do you ever ride non-race bikes?
Every bike I have raced for the last 7 years I have not had to use the clutch on down shifts. Every stock street bike I have had for the last 4 years I have not had to use the clutch on down shifts except for my XSR700

Big Willow turns 8-9 is probably the best place to do it at. Most in A class are at 120mph and full lean. Also, you're short like me, and that puts us at a massive disadvantage when it comes to dragging body parts...

Why rev match on a bike with a slipper? As soon as you get on those brakes just hit your down shifts at one time and modulate the clutch and throttle until the rear wheel is back in place before turn in. I just feel like rev matching could mess up your braking consistency sometimes and kill your line
What about the carousel at road America would that be an option? Or is it not fast enough?

Surprised you're going to Buttonwillow. Why not hit turn 8/9 at Willow Springs? You could easily carry the lean angle at about a buck 60. Fun video to watch.... mostly because it could be easily accomplished, but you're choosing not to just reach for it. Props on the ethics... ;)

Dont think there is a turn you go that fast and drag elbow. In motogp they stay more tucked in at those speeds in corners because it reduces drag
