People just don't realize how awesome fly fishing is and what kind of rush it gives you. Now you have to take a trip and do some northern pike or musky fly fishing. Talk about excitement lol

In Wyoming we did northern and in Illinois we did Musky and now I'm in Dallas and we don't have that kind of action here. Might need to try some striper.

Awesome video!!! I love the fly fishing content i love fly fishing too! Ive been fly fishing for two years now and it is just as fun as regular bass fishing ( i still do both) keep crankin and tight lines!
Invest on a stripping basket and save your fly lines from damage. They are costly. Also help cast further too as less tangles and stuff.

Loving the fly vids. A couple quick tips. When assembling your rod, start at the tip end and end at the reel. Also maybe consider a stripping bucket when on your kayak.

When they are schooling up on bait tie a double streamer rig. Just tie about 2 feet of line off the bend off the hook, then to your second fly. Also use tippet slightly light then your leader so you will only lose one fly if you get hung up

Invest in some waders. I’m actually wearing some in my pic on here and get a rubberized net so the hooks don’t get caught in it like the other nets. I love mine waders because I can get in the creek and it helps to keep my flies out of trees lol. Keep the vids coming! Love them

It’s never too cold to fly fish! Some of the best fly fishing I do for hybrids is in the dead of winter.

Awesome video man, I can tell your casting has improved! Also sick back 180 over that ditch gap haha. I used to skate hard almost everyday until I tore my MCL a couple years back. Couldn't do much but fish a ton during my recovery. Now I fish more than I skate hahah. It's cool to see you doing a bit of both in this video, got me hyped up lol.

Fly fishing looks cool and all.. but i just dont have the desire to invest money in it. Maybe one day I'll get a "cheap" combo.
Might want to add a quick switch snap to the end of your leader. Can’t recall the proper name but I’ll leave the link for the item I’m recommending. Will allow you to swap lures without retyping/snipping the leader.

Just started watching your channel about an hour ago on the pflueger fly rod video, love the content. You should try fly fishing for carp I myself haven't caught one on the fly but it is a goal, and I've heard from people they fight like a truck. Same with stripers. Not sure if you know but fly fishing is much more than just trout, and salmon.

I think bead head nymphs are my best flies that I use with a flyrod or a clear bobber and a spinning rod.
I've even gotten gills with a fly tied to mono on my musky rod when we ran out of bait one year. I made it on the local news and only real fishermen realized I was catching gills on a musky rod.
I just was wondering how much cork you would need on your skateboard to make it across the creek while fishing.
And I just heard about your 20# leader. I tie some 40# power pro on my fly line and chuck out corn by hand so it doesn't fly off when casting. Imagine a ten pound plus carp on a fly rod.

I caught a nice size catfish on the fly at this exact spot a month ago. There is a couple of us that hit up multiple sections of this creek on the fly rod weekly. Would love to connect and fish.
