I remember watching Oscar at Chelsea in 2015, I pegged him to be one of the best midfielders of all time. I loved playing him on the game as well, he had all of the perfect stats. Shame he left for China.

I feel for him too given footballer career span is so short, but he really made the classic kid from poverty cliches that you see in NFL/ NBA in America all the time… Really wish he had a good advisors on his side who could have talked to him about stuff like brand building and life after football instead of thinking short sighted by looking solely at the $$$ amount on the contract

Ajax had a lightning fast player called Zivkovic at the time de Boer was coach, they didn’t get along and Zivkovic moved to China for 2 years. He now plays in Belgium I think.
He probably made more money in those 2 years than he will in the remainder of his career, who can blame these guys for that?

Except Oscar rest of them left when they were not in their peak. I felt sorry for him. He could ask for more money in Chelsea. Just think Brazil's attack with Oscar, Neymar, Coutinho and Firmino.
Pato's problem wasnt the injuries. After he joined Corinthians, his medical part was excellent. What he lack was the will to be a good player. Ask any supporter of Corinthians, São Paulo and Villarreal.
A real shame if we remember that he was supposed to be a new Ronaldo back in 06/07.

This is what happens when you forget competition and fans and don't have patience to wait for opportunities in europe and just go behind money alone. Streets will never forget the day Oscar made Andrea Pirlo look like his little brother. Chelsea vs Juventus 😢😍😱😲. It was a long time ago but I think he made a mistake leaving Chelsea/England.
