UPDATE: I got Hailey to smell the perfume and she can also smell the hint of sushi, she has the same fragrance and hers doesn't smell like that so we think mine has started to turn (despite being less than a year old and being kept out of direct sunlight). So I think I will be taking it out of my project haha.
To use it up you could always put it in the bathroom as a “refresher”. I saw another UA-camr do this with a perfume she didn’t like! If you did that you’d still get the satisfaction of finishing it!
Kat, I finished a full sized highlighter! Goodbye Becca Prismatic Amethyst- I loved it enough to use it every day for almost 19 months, but I'm soo ready to play with something new
Wow! Very impressive! The only highlight I've ever finished is the one I dropped on the floor while it was open 😂 my floors were lit to high heaven for ages
I am not doing an actual project pan, but I don’t have a crapload of makeup cause I was always considerate. But a couple a years ago I found UA-cam tutorials and the only reason I didn’t get too spendy was I had just gotten fired. But still, with Kat and Hailey I realized I could be even better. I did get three palettes in the course of the year but then I only had one before that and I panned one shade of the first one before I buy the next two. Now I only buy the things I need, or the things I want for months, like the Gemini. Good luck with your project pan. Much love.
@@Yolanda8419 Thank you! I actually don't have a lot either, but yes I could do better also. Mostly eyeshadow palettes that I've had for a while. In between jobs right now, so I figured that + a new year = perfect timing! Sounds like you have a good plan going. 👍
b_lyss_fully My plan is using as much as I can before I buy something I have wanted for a while. Especially with palettes. I also try to pan as many of my lipsticks as I can. Just three days ago I finished one of my Macs. Two more to go and then I will only have liquid lipsticks. Kisses.
I use a staple remover to pull out sifters and stoppers. I don't even own a stapler so nfi why I have one but it's handy for that and stops me breaking my nails. 🤷♀️
@@KitschSnitch I've tried that and slipped before almost stabbing myself ... with the staple remover things you can get under the lip on one side and grip the other at the same time. You need to hold it flat on a table or something though or you risk throwing powder all over the place when it comes out 😂
I panned an entire bronzer this year, and I must say your monthly videos really inspired me to persist when I got discouraged! Now onto eyeshadows...thank you for the motivation ❤️
Since I discovered you guys youse have majorly changed my view on make up, my view used to be have as much as possible but since finding your channels and finding out about project pan etc I have about halfed my collection and now I have products I legitemetely enjoy using and use regularly! So I’ve been doing a low key project pan but next year I will defo he joining you in #teamprojectpan and I am SUPER excited
After watching these for the last couple years I'll be doing my own in 2020! Body Lotions are my main project pan, and to wear more makeup - I don't wear makeup everyday to work but I'm hoping to use more eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrow products etc. I can't wait to see how much progress I can do! 😊
That's a great way of using it up! I have used it as a room spray and will use it more that way. I wasn’t super clear on the scent, it smells like sushi coming out but it doesn’t make things smell like sushi so it’s not as bad as I lead people to believe. It’s just not the best experience using it haha
Kudos on the gel eyeliner. The progress every month was giving me anxiety. I was thinking “will she finish it this year? It’s funny that both you and Hailey finished the Too Faced foundation the same month.😀😀😀
Get rid of that perfume. If it doesn’t smell good and you apply something over it anyway just don’t do it. It might even make your other scents less enjoyable. Just throw it at the wall
So excited you are doing Project Pan in 2020, me too, I finally got to use up a blush, powder, lip sleeping mask, eye brow pencil and several mascaras and bronzer, oh and one lipstick.😘. I have lots of catching up on videos.
This year has been the first one I've attempted to pan my products because I felt so inspired by your videos and I'm actually surprised at how much I panned! I finished up a hole lite bronzer, a lipstick, a bb cream and almost a benefit blush that I've been working on for years. I'm looking forward to continuing next year!
I'm starting a project pan in 2020, and a no buy/low buy that is six months long (i pretty much will save money for two big purchases next year, one in june, and one in november for black friday). You guys inspired me! I think i'll focus on pretty much whatever that is not eyeshadow, because i have many palettes, but i want to select one or two palettes each month and focus on those two for the entire month, so i can come up with more looks that the one i always do with each palette (idk if it happens to everyone).
I've noticed through the last months of the year how difficult i made some projects for myself so as i plan for the new year Im trying to plan smarter.
I had surgery last week so I am not going to work or wearing makeup on a daily basis, so I am keeping the things that I know I can use up (basically lip balms & primer) & the rest I'll have to roll over into 2020. But, I am starting to gather products for next years PP. I've really enjoyed this process & can't wait to see how I go next year.
I find the seasonal project pans so much easier because it's a smaller time period and I can make them much more seasonally appropriate. I was doing really well but this last one is such slow progress I dont know if that's because the items are newer so are pretty much brand new/little used up or because I'm just burnt out!
I like seasonal ones too, which is why we incorporated quarterly refreshes that allow you to change things up to match the season or to just make things more interesting. Best of luck!
I am super happy with my progress this month. Luckily since I took out the shimmer it was just like using a regular fix + which I enjoy. So it was easy 😊
Sushi perfume sounds like a very niche market 🤣 I'm thinking of starting a project pan next year! I'm a compulsive eyeshadow palette buyer so I'd like to get focused up and prob go on a low buy. I love watching project pan videos cause theyre so motivational!
I'm so excited for January to give project pan a try. I don't wear a lot of make up but I also don't have a lot of make up so I think it's going to be fun
Your kitties might like to use the sushi spray. Going to start my first project pan in 2020. I'm disabled and homebound so it's hard to use up stuff. New rule for 2020, wear makeup around the house. Also want to incorporate skincare.
I wear makeup around the house, not a lot but it always makes me feel like I am ready to start my day. It makeup is too hard, focus more on skincare, haircare and body care so you can start seeing some good progress. Good luck with it xo
If youre looking for an eye cream I'd swear by Innisfree's Jeju Orchid eye cream. Its perfect for using at night and on no makeup days, but not under makeup as its super thick and hydrating. Have noticed a significant improvement in my crapey undereyes over the last few month, they no longer look like tissue paper, and I'm 36!
For next year, I want to pan my Paint Pot, finish my Primer Potion, get rid of a couple brow pencils, and that's about all I'm sure of right now. I'll probably do a couple lip products, and I also want to focus on a couple palettes, not to pan entirely, that's too much, but to get them worn down considerably. Probably Smoke Sessions and Born to Run.
I love project panning too! I think I have been doing it now for about 4 years, but this format has been the most fun so we're doing it again next year :)
I’ve always wanted to do a project pan but I only wear makeup a few times a month! I don’t have a big collection of hair and body care because I naturally work through those things quickly/ don’t have more than 1 or 2 of each product type. I love watching other people’s progress though :)
I have dry skin, and I'm still in the process of finding a great setting spray that's hydrating without being oily. I have the ABH one which I do like but the nozzle is awful, it spits like crazy lol, but the product is nice and the packaging is so pretty. I have the Glow Recipe watermelon spray and I love it it smells so good and it is pretty hydrating. I bought a Mac Fix plus but I haven't tried it yet cause I already have four setting sprays in rotation. My fav is the Smashbox primer water, I've only tried the original but I've used half of it already and it super hydrating and doesn't seep into my skin quick like other sprays do. Weird, cause I've only tried two things from the brand before, but I've already bought a backup!
I enjoy it for a couple of weeks and then it becomes a thick gloopy mess on me and creates very heavy chunky lashes so I need to wipe off a lot of excess in a tissue whenever I use it. It gives a really nice effect but it's a lot of work and wasted mascara to get there.
@@KitschSnitch when it starts to get like that I will wipe some of it into the top of the tube by running the brush kind of across the top so I can use it again later
I wish I could do a project pan and have any progress, but since I work at a dog kennel/animal hospital, I don’t wear makeup except on my days off, so only like 1-2x a week 😭 I have a pot of ABH dipbrow that I’ve been using for literally 2 years 🙈🙊 and it’s not even half way done lmao.
"It smells like...sushi" I just about died. I was NOT expecting that when you said you had an issue with it. XD Definitely a problem in fragrance, if you ask me LOL Maybe it smells mildly of vinegar/rice vinegar? Sushi rice is made with that so maybe it's actually going off or something. I'm hoping to start my project pan next year so I'm super excited you guys are probably doing the same team project pan thing. You all inspired me! And your tips in that video were great, I will have to rewatch when I plan out my choices.
Yeah it might be the vinegar scent that is giving me those vibes along with the green scents of the fragrance that sort of smells like the seaweed. It shouldn't be off though, I only got it earlier this year
