Where do you find second hand tracks? And what kind of drive did you use?

I'm not sure the details of this. When i did it, i bought old Stannah tracks and cut out the the bits i wanted. Surprisingly you can bend the tracks with brute force and vice - didnt even need to heat up.

I want to build one from scratch. How is the chair actually powered? Is it a battery under the seat?

Great job !! In a similar postion myself .................. did you need to programme the seat after install ?

Hi. Yes the seat needs to be programmed. At the time, i found a tech manual on the net telling how to do it.
It's all done from within the seat's control panel (there are 2 or 3 buttons there). Sorry, i don't have the manual anymore.

    Hi, great job!
I'm trying to do the same thing but I don't know how to bend the rack.
For tubes their are bending machines but not for racks. How did you do? Thanks

      Hi.
surprising, they weren't that hard to bend. I just put them in the vice and bent it cold. They appear to be a softer type of metal compare to the tubes.
I think in some areas, I had to put some cuts to encourage the bending points, then wield them back together afterwards.
      Best of luck
