  • This video descibes the process of making charcoal in a traditional earth burn. It was filmed on Ashdown Forest in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, in the heart of East Sussex.

    Dear High Weald AONB the way you guys go about processing your chalk coal is not the best way of doing it. 1 you pack the skill too steep, 2 too much smoke is coming from it as a result the steaming quality is not good, and 3 you do not use water on it like that you are putting yourself at risk to get sick with pneumonia and other illnesses .
