Angers me to see people leaving their crap in the countryside! Wow, every other video I've seen on the Cape Wrath trail has been non-stop wind and rain, you definitely got lucky! Shame about the ticks, blighters! I love how you all stayed in great spirits though! What a stunning camp on the Bay! Idyllic! Sorry to hear about the Tadpole, it served you well! Lovely sunset 🌇
Thanks Matt. Yeah, I get the red mist every time I see crap lying around. Lazy tw##s 😡 I still can’t believe how lucky we were for most of it, altogether we had maybe a day and a half of rain in two weeks.. I reckon you must be just wonderfully used to the sun by now. Cheers 😎
Hi sue! Your channel is so inspiring to me! Been wild camping for just a couple years when I can! Do you have any advice on light weight gear, especially sleeping bags for woman? Id love to see a video in this! Can't wait to watch the rest of this series. Thank you!!
@@izzieosullivan4021 thank you Izzie, lovely to hear from you! Dave has suggested doing some reviews on our gear so when we’re back in the UK I’ll give it a go 😘 As for gear, the stuff I use all the time & can highly recommend are: I always use RAB sleeping bags, can be expensive but really comfy. I have 3 depending on the season. Take a look at Rab women’s Neutrino range for a good combination of lightweight/warmth. Their website has loads to offer & can take a bit of navigating but I never use any other bag. My best bit of lightweight kit is the RAB (I’m not sponsored by the way) Women’s Vapour-Rise jacket. It’s weight/warmth ratio is superb! I always use Paramo waterproofs. Not the lightest but they keep me dry at all times and last for years & years. For camping I use Paramo’s Grid Long Janes, they’re great as pyjama bottoms in the cold but also great as a warm under layer. I also use the Grid base layers. Finally, a shout out to Nemo for our tent, the Dagger. It’s ridiculously light for its size, we discovered a minor fault near one of the guy points & they immediately sent us a brand new tent so now we have 2! The Dagger is a 2 person tent but the DragonFly is worth a look too. Hope this is helpful, if you want any other info please do ask. All the best! Sue 😊
Ha, I love the way you get up Sue with your sack. That's five foot lyth alright. I gotta say this trail just doesn't stop being impressive - I mean look where you were chilled at 4.25. Not impressed with the ill little babies leaving all that gear though. I'd love to catch em. I noticed you kicked back a lot on this one and why not - you're there to soak it up. Fantastic brother conspiracy and all. Mark
Thanks Mark! They are so alike, those brothers 😂 Yep, kicking back is definitely the way to go. Keeps the feet nice & fresh too. It really is an impressive walk… very wild ❤️
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth A pleasure Sue. Good to know the brothers harmonize. Re-kicking back a trail wouldn't be complete without it - nice and fresh feet a bonus. Impressive for sure - impressive too the tent lasted so long. Peace.
Na then Sue! What a stunning route that was 😍It looked great on camera and I know it's always better seen with the eye so it must have been super-impressive. I would love to get up that way some day. Shame about the abandoned camping gear 😡It's easy to blame the non-educated delinquents but to be fair, it could well have been middle class folk who've got money to burn and don't give a f*ck about the environment or other people. Still, it didn't dampen your pleasure on arrival at Barrisdale Bay..what a place and what a view!
Hey Ian! You know what N.E.D means… I didn’t translate & it’s not a class issue but we said exactly the same thing earlier today. It’s a fantastic experience & that was the only litter we saw happily 😊
For someone who has completed every monro twice to be blown away by the views here says a lot about how splendid it is Sue 🏔️🏴👌🏻 Brilliant section and long section but stunning 🤩 Sad day for the tadpole but what trips it has done 👍 Great effort 🙏🏼 Best regards Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Thanks Simon. Yes, the landscape is ab-so-lute-ly out of this world, highly recommended 😍 We’re on the Herriot Way at the moment, also stunning but very different 😀 Retirement rocks! 😂 ATB Sue

A great route with views to dream of. Sorry for the Tabpole, it served you well, with many wonderful memories 😴
Thanks Mick! It was tongue-in-cheek, but I’m sad to lose it 😭 I’m enjoying editing these videos as you can imagine 😊
