seen live soooooo many times - met the guys - total legends. Love love love
This singer really put his soul into his music I never got past better days … he said it like it really was never give up your day job it’s and end to a means you get to see your hero’s not so many venues as this..
I love Johnny..he's real.
Outstanding. My best memories come from the first three S. S. albums (and have continued). I'm gonna be up all night watchin these interviews.
This is so nice to see. I saw him and the Jukes for the 1st time at Red Rocks, Co in 1977. He opened for Boz Scaggs.
Thank-you.
I saw SSJ and the AD a the Forum NW5 iin the 80's and they were absolutely brilliant - there was something special about them would lve to see them again
My favortie singer ever. It's good to see him sitting back a bit. Johnny summed up quickly - after an awesome set at Milwaukee's Summerfest, he brought the band out for a second encore, introduced them all... and then left.
I first heard Johnny in '86 and it clicked: He reminds me of Bruce Springsteen, kind of like Eddie Money, reminds me of Eddie and the Cruisers. Hey, must be a regional sound. LOL. I'm from the West Coast. What did I know.
I read he worked on Eddie and the Cruisers.
The Real Thing!
One of the consistent aspects of Johnnies performances is his generosity. He doesn't appreciate anyone who tries to hog the stage. That's not his style.
It is so cool that all the guys who hung out at the Upstage were not trying to one up anyone. Pretty rare thing. Like Johnny said, it was a great time.
