I'm tearing up too. This brought back all the horror of the first days of Putin's attack on Ukraine. I am horribly ashamed that some of my fellow Americans are now supporting Putin and refusing to support Zelenskyy and Ukraine.

That IS a part of the minority of "normal russians" !. The majority of the russians that still lives in their homeland are planning for "the glorious day next month when i get the chance to vote for Putin, on our great democratic election day !". Just watch the videos here with the "street interviews" !. You will be surprised !. Most of these people are not normal !.

This all seems surprisingly familiar. In the late 60s/early 70s lots of Americans left the US for Canada to run from Vietnam war. Although they were given amnesty later by Carter lots did not come back. They found a new home and now it'd damn near impossible for an American to get residency in Canada. Oh yeah Vietnam is quickly becoming one of our closest trading partners and probably allied with the US in the near future.

Watching this shows the importance of Russian-speaking people coming together to share their experiences, to socialise and to eat together. It's a way of not just spreading hope, but knowing they're not alone.
My wife of 15 years is from Belarus. She's lived in the UK for 13 years and nearly all her friends are Russian-speaking (Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Estonia etc.) I can see how important it is for her to maintain her connection to similar people. I imagine it's even more important for Russians in Tashkent.
By the way, Konstantin, I enjoyed listening to you speaking in Russian.

Your videos are always filled with research and great information about what goes on in Russia. I’m still thankful that you and your family made it out when you did. Awesome beyond words.. ❤ "we just want to live in peace and be happy". I've taken living in peace for granted, but it's an extremely precious thing and it's hard work to rebuild it once it's gone. However, as long as there are people like you there is hope and mad tyrants will fall. Immeasurable damage has been done already, but peace-loving people mustn't be discouraged by anything.

I just watched your documentary. I must say it was really amazing to see both Ukrainians & Russians gathered together,& talk about how their lives changed since the war began. I hope & pray there will be peace & freedom for both countries.

Very good for people who have had to leave home behind. I would think cautious communication needs to be used with contacting those left behind.
As said, you created a place to be with those in a like position. I have admired this effort. From what you have shared, Konstantin people have been able to create events outside of the breakfast club, your networking place. Accolades to the immigrants.
