This was so extremely cool! I’m a baker and local pastry chef in Houston and when Covid hit all my weddings cakes got put on hold. Just this week I had to refund deposits😔 two years ago I was researching small wedding which are now called micro-wedding....image that’s 🤔 now my daughter in love and I have decide to revisit this and help couples have their weddings but on a smaller scale. You really help confirm things for me in a major way.....thank you!

I just got back from doing a Wedding coordinator job in LAs Vegas and NO its not a Vegas Wedding. And currently I have another clients. That was my first wedding planning in Vegas. I just use my degree in Project Management and it work.
Just a note, a DBA and a sole proprietorship are the same thing. Every state has a network of Small Business Development Centers that can help point you in the right direction when starting up your business and developing your business plan.

I have tried to look in my area for internship posting and nothing comes up. I am in the Chicago area. How can I get an internship when there is no one offering one? Please help. I have been thinking about this career since I helped my sister plan her wedding13 years ago, now I am planning my vows renewal and I keep coming back to it cause I love it so much.
It could be worth cold-emailing wedding event companies and planners saying you are interested in intern or volunteer opportunities to gain experience. Even if you are just on the list of people to do extra setup or teardown labor for larger events, getting your name out there, and getting a reputation of someone who does show up and is willing to learn all aspects of the work is a great foot in the door.
I think you could make a video about recommending different port-a-potty companies and I'd still go 'this girl's a genius!'😂 It's really good for us brides to know how much work that goes in to trying to start a wedding-based business because it gives us an idea of what prices are reasonable as opposed to when companies seem to charge extra just 'cause I've mentioned the W-word. I guess it has something to do with the growing popularity of budget wedding that still feel coherent weddings instead of a party with one woman in a white dress? Like i.e. the dress and the cake is no longer either couture or from H&M? Am I rambling? Yes. Do I sense that my friends are a bit tired of me wanting to talk weddings 24/7? Yes. Do I let my freak fly at your channel? Absolutely. Lots of love! 💕
Ooh I've been meaning to ask - any tips on multi-lingual weddings? My fiance's family and our friends speak Swedish, but most of my family only speaks Finnish, and there are a few friends and significant others who doesn't speak either and would prefer English... And some of our relatives aren't that good at English... Like the ceremony would be held in Swedish since that's the language we communicate on, but I'd love for the rest of the guests to understand too. And as far as speeches go, my dad could do a short version in each language, and my MOH and fiance can translate to English, but would it be weird for me to translate speaches to Finnish at my own wedding? Especially my fiance's speech in which I'm pretty sure I'll get a mention... My favourite cousin is too shy and the rest of my extended family are not that close to me. I would ask my brother but he lives abroad and is busy with his studies, and though we're friendly I'd still feel a bit awkward to ask (big age difference). We've been to a few family functions including weddings where they haven't taken into consideration that my fiance, my brothers wife, and two cousins SO's don't understand Finnish which I guess is understandable but the whispered translations alone are anoying... So I'm i a bit of a pickle 😅 I hope this is more coherent, I've had some coffee!
Oh and thanks for the tip about how to make sure my fiance is part of the wedding planning too! We had a talk about it and turns out he was just worried about stuff with his relatives, conflicts and such, and now that we've cleared that up he's happy to go along with some of my ideas and say perhaps to some other ideas... 😄

My friends were a bit iffy going on about somebody else doing it so that I wouldn't need to 'working' my own wedding, but I've always felt like weddings where the newlyweds just sit there and don't really interact with the guests are a thing of the past. Maybe that's just in the Nordic countries as well, but weddings over here tend to be either rather stiff or just drunken mayhems 😅 But I'm glad to see that changing with the trend on caring less about formality and focusing on having a fun celebration 😊🎉 Thanks for being my pocket advisor (get it? cause my phone is in my pocket? Actually it isn't since women's jeans don't really have pockets anymore? But I like the visual of a teeny you in my pocket that I can ask all sorts of questions of - in a totally non creepy way obv!💕)

Remember she is from southern Cali and things around there are more expensive. My older bro lives there and that seems pretty average. Now where I live that is very expensive, but budgets are subjective based on where you live and how much you make.

You can probably contact other venues and companies that want to all band together for the shoot. That way everyone will benefit :)
