- Hi all ! Welcome to my first 787 video. The past months I've been doing the type rating, line training and flown already more than 100h on this wonderful aircraft. Today we're flying a visual approach into Santo Domingo after a nearly 9 hours flight from Brussels. Enjoy !

Superb video and a pleasure to see inside the 787 flight deck, we were luck two years ago, we arrived at Manchester (MAN -EGCC) to find TUI had changed our aircraft from 767-300 to the Dreamliner. We were going to Crete, as someone who has loved aviation for over 56 years I was in my element.
What a wonderful plane and this video has really made my day. Love the use of Text to keep viewers up to date. Safe Flying ✈️

Great stuff as always. Ideal for those of us in the Flightsim world!
Flightsim can't hold a candle to actual flying though. I was a sim player turned real pilot. Its much more difficult and complex in the real world, trust me.
My comment was meant as one of gratitude. Having been in flight sim more over 40 years, it is refreshing to have videos like yours to see how it is really done! It also provides me certainly with learning. We also realise sitting in the comfort of the home ‘flight deck’ does not come close, but we can all dream to be like you!! Happy flying!!

Man, those checklists are short! Nice video and congratz on the new type.
Thank you ! :) The checklists are as long as on other aircraft types but the system checks for most of the systems automatically so we only have to answer on items that the aircraft can't check by himself :)

Nice, i liked how you filmed your 737 flights and this 787 flight. I don't know good channel of boeing 787 pilot so if you upload consistenly footages, you can become a reference for this aircraft on youtube and grow a lot.

hoi Max,tof kanaal,leuk dat je het op deze manier deeld,ik had vroeger enorme vliegangst maar dankzij oa dit kanaal en een paar andere piloten die uitleg geven over verschillende aspecten in het vliegtuig enz... en mij er een andere kijk op hebben doen geven is mijn angst zo goed als weg wanneer ik ga vliegen.meestal vliegen we met TUI,zo zijn we al aan boord geweest bij jullie naar montego bay via santo domingo,miami,azoren enz...telkens goede vluchten gehad.wat me opviel dat het toch nog toegelaten is iemand in de jump seat te laten plaatsnemen?Hoe kom je daar voor in aanmerking?Heb het ook gemerkt terug te komen van Montego Bay naar Brussel liet men vlak voor het dalen iemand in de seat plaatsnemen,dacht dat dat niet mogelijk meer was?nogmaals tof kanaal bedankt en proficiat ,grtn Danny/Vorselaar

Merci ! :) L'anti ice est automatique sur le 787. Deux détecteurs sur le fuselage détectent les conditions potentielles de givrages et contrôle l'anti ice automatiquement :) Aussi, pour avoir des conditions de givrage il faut de l'humidité, comme un nuage, mais aussi une température < 10°C, ici à Santo Domingo la température était largement supérieure ! :)

Hi ! It depends on the wind, but on average we start our descend about 140 miles out, and the landing speed varies with the weight, but a good average is 160 mph
