I watched this video about 10 times and was a big factor in buying the amp. Trust me, it sounds even better when you plug in live. Steven Fryette doesn't miss the slightest detail. That F70G Fane Speaker makes a world of difference. And those big bottle KT66 tubes I can describe in two words "fat city." This amp is a tone monster. So, is the extra dollar layout worth it beyond a basic 30W Fender. Yes, the amp is cathode biased. No problem if you want to drop in KT 77, KT88, 6550 tubes or other combinations, because there's no biasing required. Also, tube driven rectication, tube driven reverb. This amp sounds harmonically lush and every note is articulate. Mr. Fryette in his wisdom eliminating ohm matching worries. The extension speaker outlet welcomes 16, 8, or 4 ohm cabinets. That eliminates mismatches and stress on an output transformer. Last mention, this is a super loud 30W. I'd say it was underrated in wattage output. No problem cutting through mix with a band at a club. Biggest selling point for me: It was Steven Fryette's mention that the amp sounds great at any volume. And darned if it doesn't. For those who haven't dwelled on this subject -- there is a difference between clean, harmonically rich and pre-amp distortion. Give me that big clean power tube saturation anytime.
