- Patrick's Parabox Part 14 - now this is just absurd. Multi Infinite is less about the puzzles and more about the mind-melting showcase of ideas. These ideas may be fleshed out more in the next Patrick's Parabox episode...

The game's not over until I say it's over dammit. See you all tomorrow with more Patrick's Parabox.
parabox time
cool
Also, check out the custom worlds
In part 3 there was a split
you chose clone
what about the other path?
@@mymindsart2239 it is the same thing, thats just the clone of the world "clone", ye, the level has mechanics before entering it
14:00 that small gap at the corner reminds me of that forsaken wall covered by the cup
We don't want to remember those times.
@@TobyConger Well I do, it's one of the funniest moments in history
The Cup is the true challenger
what are you talking about?
@@GaminGuy_ Tyler got stuck on a level for an hour because part of the level was covered by a cup on his desk
@@furretwalky what video was that and when?
I like that the final levels were only conceptually challanging if you hadn't really been learning the methods and system. its rewarding to pass a test because you'd mastered the material instead of just crunching the night before or guessing all the way through
you mean "challenging"
My man over here destroying the american school system with a puzzle game about putting boxes in holes
I saw this concept in a "custom level", but what the fuck. Is it bad that I've seen enough of this game to UNDERSTAND this? I love this game
glad I got to WITNESS this :} (lol game name pun)
you have been INDUCTED into the cult of infinity
to comprehend everything i need to make my brain bigger, i hope it has ROOM TO GROW
This game is just incredible, I haven't done much since I beat multi infinite, but am still getting over how amazing this game was. I am excited to see what you think of this final world! Love the vids Tyler!
The challenges are so fun
@@pirilon78 I just haven't gotten into them BC my laptop broke 🤷
Icely Puzzles recommended the custom level packs Outside, Teleport, and Travel. (I suggest playing them in the order mentioned.) These level packs are great post-post-game content!
I think you should do the appendix levels before challenge, but all are good. Challenge should probably be split into 2 videos, they can be pretty tricky
Advice: don't think too far into the "infinity" part.
It'll hurt less that way. :)
I've got to say though, this game does an amazing job making the mind bending concepts understandable. The first and second infinities broke my brain a little, but beyond that it just made sense
Multi infinity is essentially when you get something that is to infinity as infinity is to finite. As with higher numbers of spacial dimensions, or non Euclidean space, they can be difficult to visualise mentally due to being alien compared to what we are used to in reality, but they are mathematically consistent, and as such, you can get a kind of feel for it after a while.
If you try to think about it, you will never reach a conclusion. The thoughts will be infinite
If it wasn't apparent, these "voids" are just when you exit the infinity block (or any block for that matter) isn't contained inside of anything.
298/364 puzzles solved (at 9:56) is kinda frustrating because if there was exactly one more puzzle it would be a year's worth
Take a rest for a day after doing all those puzzle!
the day 4 days from now left the chat
i'd recommend doing the appendix levels before the challenge ones, it'll make future episodes flow better
It's amazing how they make such an abstract concept feel seemless
The last normal level is just a victory lap for both player and developer. I love it.

"Oh god, I just ate triple infinity" what an absolute godlike sentence
There will be a lot more levels! 9:55 in left corner 298/364 solved, so 63 levels left to be exact after you solved gallery :D
I KNEW the first menu room would be inside the last one
My favourite part was the fact that there’s a box outside of the intro box, but they don’t show what it’s called.
It’s the outro.
Love this game.
7:54 The COOLNESS IS STARTING
so funny thing, my phone rotated my screen 180 degrees somewhere during the video, and I literally did not notice it at all, the game broke my brain so much that I literally didn’t perceive the flip, it was only until after I noticed Tyler upside down did I realize what was happening. I do not know how long it was flipped
I've waited to watch the series since I was completing the game, but now that I've beaten the main story I'm ready to watch you fly through this.
I feel that the whole game is a tutorial on how to play the game. I want to see the actual challenge now. Time to break your mind.
Yo dawg, I heard you like infinity
AD reference? If not my bad I just saw it in that game recently
@@CMP7778 I also thought of AD with this achievement name (the update will come out in 5 hours)
@@CMP7778 It's an old meme based on a TV-show called Pimp My Ride. The host, Xzibit, often made nonsensical recursive sentences and putting silly things inside people's "pimped" cars: "Yo dawg, I heard you like cars, so we put a car in your car so you can drive while you drive".
The true ending is the old beginnings we made along the way.
If this had a level editor it would make for the most mind twisting experience
well, it doesn't have an in-game editor, but this game SUPPORTS CUSTOM LEVELS.
(and there are some external (official or fan-made) editors can be found on this game's discord)
Cool
The ending (of the ending) is more of a victory lap!
I was kinda hoping they'd let you manipulate the levels in the overworld itself, Baba Is You-style, but this is good too
I thought about this once, and now I can't stop thinking about it every time you start a video

Good morning Tyler I hope your having a good day. I've been doing.... okay I guess. Looking forward to the next video

you’ll see the most gorgeous dark green pixel ever
I recommend the custom level packs Outside, Teleport, and Travel (probably in that order) as some more postgame content
Ive been following this entire series this is amazing
the appendix levels are amazing since they have completely new/different game rules
What an incredible ending to such a unique game, glad I didn't spoil myself to any other letsplays of it, and can't wait to see you play more of it!
Half tempted to get it myself, though I'm really bad at puzzles
Nine more levels left for me in Challenge before I’m done! Thanks for pointing me to this game, it’s been fantastic playing it.
I've litterally been waiting for this video for so long.
Edit, also what does bad graphic void look like?
My mind blowed up, i didn't knew what to do or how they work, like, this is a brain-turnr, but still, pretty creative game.
infinity is basically just an overflow so it isnt that hard to understand, and when the overflow overflows, it sends it to the next infinity relative to that one
This is actually much closer to the real mechanism than most of the other attempts at explaining it
@@AexisRai i'm thinking that if the game detects something moving out of a recursive level it'll check if it leads outside the level again when they move it out of the small recursive level block it counts that as an infinite exit
and same thing for infinite enter but forced to enter the same block, i wonder what would happen with an oscillation thing where you place the level at the edge of another block and put that block at the edge of the level, maybe if you also extend it to use infinity blocks
@@chddrchmze yes, you've got it, that's basically the mechanism
if something tries exiting a room that's inside itself and is at its own edge, the game will detect a loop, because a call to the exit room function for X will result in a second call to the exit room function for X - that would be infinite exit so it calls the exit room function for X-inf instead
Analogous for entering and epsilon
@@chddrchmze Not sure I understand your other point, but
supposing you alternate by putting A inside B inside A, B at A's edge, A at B's edge (same edge)
if you exit A on that edge, the loop will be detected on A and you will exit A-inf
if you exit B, B-inf
same deal with alternating entering
(there are Challenge levels that show this off that he hasn't reached yet)
also you can definitely infinite exit into an infinite enter, if that's what you were saying
If you do go back to this, I hadn't seen anyone mention this but try hitting the number seven on any level. Then do it again.
You gotta try the custom world outside. Very fun, very challenging, explores new concepts
the challenge levels are very thought, and there are the appendices also
I never understand any of this but I still love every second
I'm so happy this game isn't over, this game is cute and creative and charming as all get out.
Absolutely love this game. Just wish it wasn't over in only a couple hours. Am so glad to hear there are custom levels that can be downloaded and installed. Can't wait to find and play some. The creators of this game are genius.
If your still confused about the multi infinities, from what I'm gathering from it is, when you make infinity by pushing the level outside of itself(basically creating infinite copies coming out of itself) it simplifies it by creating the infinity symbolized box, so when you have both the normal recursion level and infinity symbolized level at the edge of itself and push the infinity level out it's pushing simplified infinite copies outside of itself making infinite infinity symbolized boxes which the game promptly simplifies into 2x infinite and so on, this is also what happens with epsilon too (at least what I think happens though)
patricks parabox is wild
At 9:56 you can see in the bottom left corner that you solved 298/364
its hard to believe this game went from entering boxes to push them to the right place to working with multiple cardinalities of infinity
i never realised the game was called patrick's parabox
i thought it was patrick's paradox
This is like SCP-2719 but without all the distress.
Right, this is where my brain fried. My gray matter is now scrambled eggs.
7:50 js cracks me up lol
Imagine if they pulled a baba and had meta worlds.
this game is mind bending in just the right way that it makes sense (most of the time), and I've loved watching every second of it. can't wait to see the challenge levels, although it'll be sad to see the game totally finished.
I hope he does custom levels/worlds people have made
Enjoy the post-game!
Imagine if this game got steam workshop support. The possibilities for player created levels would be amazing
You should play custom worlds.
Damn, this entire time I thought there was an entire extra set of levels with all new mechanics from that branching path :(
in challenge 35 you can create epsilon but there is already an epsilon
Amazing game
I really wished that the game was like the Gallery idea.
"if youve been keeping up, infinity somehow makes sense"
No. No it doesn't. Not at all.
One try, here goes:
Infinity is simple. It works by loop detection.
If you try to exit room A, and you find that one of the consequences is that you are trying to exit room A - then there's a loop detected on A. So instead of you exiting A infinitely many times, the game creates the infinity block version of room A, or A-inf (or finds it if it already exists), and you try to exit from there instead.
This loop easily happens e.g. when A is directly inside itself and it's possible to push it up to its own edge. If you push it out of itself, it is trying to move out of itself infinitely many times, so it will be pushed out of the A-inf room instead.
If you figure out which part of it doesn't make sense to you, then it'll probably be easier to figure out what you need to learn to grasp it
So glad this game isn't through yet
Infinity and infinitesimal were crazy enough, but now we're dealing with ordinal infinities!
And it is confirmed. Double Epsilon (and furthermore, Multi Epsilon) is a thing.
They must add the option that show *infinity*^n
If you don't play custom levels then we riot
The appendix has stuff too
maybe if you make infinity in the level select you can get to the title shown in the zoom out
Challenge levels time, hehe 😜
"To infinity and beyond"
This was 37 minutes ago this was posted at 12 am
The bum of this world is so relaxing
me:I graduated multi infinity a few days ago.
12:18 i wonder how infinity looks in these graphics
ah yes dectuple epsilon now i wonder "is there a hendecatuple epsilon/infinity"
10× infinity?❤
INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!
...I like puzzles ...I like puzzles ...I like puzzles ...My head hurts.
Aw man, what the hecc could thr challenge world be 👀
9:56 it says how many levels you missed
it says 298/364
hello mister rock
I thought you weren't done and there were still split paths earlier in the level maps.. guess I was wrong.. I could of sworn there were more branches
Okay nevermind there are bonus worlds.. HOLY WAIT THE FUCKING GALLERY IS A LEVEL SET TOO THAT IS COOL
The split path was a clone of the main path so no extra content
I can't establish how the "outside" rules make sense.
I understand that they're internally consistent but I just can't put together why.
What are you referring to by "outside" rules? Do you mean infinity or the void or something else?
The void is just a room that things can be inside of, that is always flat and square and starts with nothing in it. It has the special property that enterable rooms that enter it become unenterable, and when an infinity or epsilon block doesn't already exist and needs to be created, that's where it gets put.
The fact there infinite epsilon as well, why couldn't there be 10x infinity epsilon
mathematicians crying right now
With joy, actually, if they're paying attention.
The way the infinity mechanic works on the inside resembles building up the infinite ordinals. The 10x infinity is actually achieved by a process resembling the construction of ω*10.
Epsilon is basically doing the same construction process in the opposite direction, but Patrick gets a pass for calling it epsilon because it's "small" instead of large.
yea, there's another path we haven't finishedv yet
That path was a clone of the main path so it’s exactly the same as the main path.
Vsauce, Michael here! Infinity ♾
I hope they add in level editor like baba is you
Hey Tyler, guys here.
this game has definitely been the most exited i've been for a series in a while. the game is just so creative and unique. at least there's a few more levels before it has to end
Let's get a little mind boggling.
The infinity cube is technically a set of a countable infinity, as there are individual units that comprise the elements of the set of infinity cube, or INF. This just means that you can make a bijective relation from the natural numbers to INF, which in this case we would just pick an arbitrary starting point and assign a number to each, going infinitely high.
The double infinity, or DNF, is bigger than INF, right? Wrong. You can make another relation assigning infinite elements of infinity, which can then be assigned to numerical values of the natural numbers. This is proven through the proof that the set of all rational numbers is denumerable, or the same size as the natural numbers.
So is Epsilon a countable infinity? No, actually. Since it creates a space of infinite fraction that doesn't base itself in a countable number of smaller elements, it is considered a set of real numbers or irrational numbers. Irrational numbers are not countable
Irrational numbers are uncountable, yes, but fractions are countable, and even then each step is like f(n) -> 1/k^n (since each square going down is 1/the size of the square it is contained in). That said, epsilon is indeed not a countable infinity in the same sense but instead related to an infinitesimal, akin to 1/infinity cube (or rather 1/omega, since that's not an uncommon name to associate with a countable infinite) I believe.
@@MSharp-nr5km Ah, makes sense, so it's more like a set of rational numbers in that sense. I misinterpreted it
@@bwax3135 yep, though while it's reached in a countable number of steps and all it's not exactly an infinite quantity but instead infinitesimal, something like 0 < e < all reals greater than 0
Do the Apendices first, then the challenges
...I should go take some Ibuprofen.
