    pro tip- #1) press the trigger for more than 2 seconds, give the tool time to work #2) that tool does not cost 700 #3) if your impact starts to strip out your socket, it's pushing way more than 130

    Bs I have the same exact one and it's been dropped and banged around and I have yet to find a nut or bolt that that thing can't remove or break off I work on rail road equipment and dock levelers as well as oilfield equipment and old cars and trucks you musta got one they messed up at home Depot

    Weird. I have that same impact, it cost only $350 with a battery and charger. And I noticed if I let it work for more than one second it takes stuff like that right off. Looks like a skill issue.

    My friend I have the same one and it was $300 and came with a 6 ah flex volt, so if u paid $700 and it came with a normal 6 ah battery then I have to say that's not really a Dewalt, and that looks fused on there put some penatrating oil on it

    2 things that’s a gen1 battery and 2nd you didn’t even let it try. The dewalt is the 2nd best in the market next to New dewalt 961 with Vtec. Get the 60v battery in 12ah and stop crying

    Read the user manual. My dewalt has to have the trigger pulled for 4 seconds before it will ramp up to max torque.

    I got the Bauer 1000 ft/lbs wired impact from harbor freight. It's only 80 bucks and took off my rusty suspension bolts in a few seconds. Can't beat it for the price.

    It looks like the dcf 961. First of all, it's 330$. Second, it has a chip in it that doesn't kick in full torque until after 4 seconds of use.

    used one of these all time doing maintenance at my local port. the impact removed every bolt likenothing and put one in no problem. definitely exceeded what is shown here on every task it was used for, and it also had a habit of snapping any lag bolt smaller than 3/4. as seen in this video though sometimes you might get a deffective one.

    Don't know who you bought it from but no dewalt impact costs $700, try holding it for longer, and more firm to so it not giving kick back between socket and inpackt, use atleast 6amp bat. and maybe than itll work, this isn't tools fault but user fault, that it didn't work...

    Yeah, Dewalt arn't all that good, especially the EU 18v stuff. I destroyed one on the first bolt - something I could spin off with a short 1/2 inch strongarm. Just buy Milwaukee and be done with it.

    Well that gun has 900 or so foot pounds of torque so if its not working you are either doing something wrong or tool is faulty because i have used this exact gun on a pinion nut that no matter what you could not get off and it zipped it off no problem

    The dcf 900 is a strange one. I literally held it at. Holding it at a different angle and it takes everything off. That impact loop you get isnt doing any work . Milwaukee does the same thing. Idk why. That why i got the 1 inch drive 60v. It either comes off or breaks.

    We call it rust tite... And over torquing a fastener before it rotts :/ not confirmed 130 ft/lbs and it's in a junkyard says enough not the impacts fault :/

    Guaranteed that axle nut is not just 130 ft. Lbs. The 130 ft. Lbs that it was torqued too when new turns into 200 to 250 with years of rust. Put the wheel back on and remove the center cap drop it to the ground and get a mans breaker bar and some leverage and thats it ez!!!

    It really depends on the type of sockets used. Higher mass sockets are typicalls best, as well as fasteners that arent corroded to hell.

    When the socket gets fused on the the nut like that the tool cannot operate properly. Throw a little lube on the head of the bolt so the socket doesn't get stuck. It will stop the tool from bucking so hard and it will do the job.

    Pulled off a 233ft-lb axle nut with a Ryobi high torque, didnt even hammer on it for more a second, 28 year old axle. Seems like user error or faulty tool to me.
    Also who tf pays $700 for a DCF900, we sell this at my work for $249 with the charger and a dcb205.

    Some times those are so rusted your best bet is to split the nut (grinder or drill small holes and use an air hammer)

    The socket's 1/2 inch insert is quite banged up. I don't think the socket can last more abuse. Maybe should try a heavier socket or inertia socket to remove the rusted part
