Wooo!!! So glad the first Disney video is out👏🏼 will be interesting to see the comparison video. I think for me personally Paris comes out on top only *just* America is such a big scale you can’t really beat that, but for what Paris is and also how close it is it’s just perfect for us!
I’m really glad you had an enjoyable time! I love disney world in florida’s accessibility but disneyland paris made me want to cry when i went this summer. My wheelchair (not manual as we didnt want to risk flying with it) wouldnt even fit in the elevators
I haven’t been to a Disney park in years, so I don’t really know what their current accessibility is like firsthand, but I can tell you from recent experience that Universal Studios is nailing it with their accessibility features.
One other thing is that the wheelchair user ride access point is sometimes different from the other disability ride access points. Sometimes staff just instruced everyone to the same point, sometimes they didn't and it made for a confusing time!
Oh and another nugget (possibly) is the drop tower hotel thing (that's at the other Disney park there) is that the wait-in-line time can be quite a while compared to other rides and other parks where you just rock up at your time and get straight on. I think we stood 15 minutes, which is long time for me and left me in a lot of pain.
I went to Disneyland Paris recently, and I warned my family that you said that the Indians jones ride was painful. They thought I was exaggerating, but after the ride I just saw the face of regret on their faces 😂. never riding that again!
Last time I visited Disneyland Paris was in 2015 and I was using my manual wheelchair and the cast members at all rides I went on except for one ride were extremely patient and helpful. That on ride was the haunted mansion! The staff were extremely rude even as much to put over the loud speakers “could you please hurry up, you are holding up the ride” I’m now having to use a powered wheelchair because of constant dislocations in my upper limbs. My paralysis is below my l4-5 and s1 and my other unpleasant experience was trying to access the accessible toilets to empty my suprapubic catheter. They were mostly a wider stall inside the the communal toilets
Oh I also forgot to mention about the team lines on Main Street. My husband was having to push me in my manual chair on the road area because the pavement was too crowded and busy. But the tramlines were not clearly visible to him or myself to be honest as it was a rainy and dull day. My right back wheel managed to get stuck in between the tramline!
This video brought back so many good memories. I love that on Big Thunder Mountain, Disney continued the theming throughout the disability queue. The lines were quite long when I was there, so it was nice to have things to look at. I'm glad the signs at Phantom Manor have been cleared up. I accidentally went to the fastpass disability entrance on my trip and the cast members were quite rude and wouldn't point us in the right direction. It looks like the disability access pass has changed, there was only a green and orange pass when I was there, so I'm looking forward to your video on that. I don't know if I'll ever make it back to DLP, but I'd like to go again one day.
OOO. Yeah I belived the DAS pass has changed in the passed couple of years. Its a little bit complicated, but luckily there is a good support group on FB.
Here's a interesting fact about our French/European Phantom Manor. It's the only Haunted Mansion in all Disney Parks where you're entering in through the front door and that looks delapidated and scary. Due to languages bearrier. That's not all. The whole Frontierland is coonected to the Backstory of Phantom Manor (you'll see towards the end of the ride when you're in Downtown) The French Frontierland features the Wild West
Interesting that there was a figure of Jack Sparrow and Johnny Depp’s voice. Considering the Amber Fry and Johnny Depp trial. Disney canceled their contract with him. So I figured Disney would of removed any association with him.
Thank you for showing what it's like to go to disneyland with a wheelchair, because I love Disneyland but if my back doesn't get better I'm going to need a wheelchair and it's nice to see that I will probably still be able to go to Disneyland. Also thank you for the flashwarning.( I'm still learning English, so I'm sorry if anything is written wrong.)
I'm noticing that at several rides people are already getting on your cart or train while you're still transferring out, is that something that bothered you? In the parks I've been with my wheelchair (I can walk) they'd keep the area clear for me to return to my chair. I'd think it would feel very crowded and like you need to go quick quick! Also love seeing how much Daisy is growing up to be a mix of you and Sean, she's such a character!
Yeah it did bug me. Especiall on the Pirates. People can see your wheelchair at first so they are like. Move!!!! but I just held my ground. Not much I could do....
I never been to Disneyland Paris that the Space Mountain there is one of the roller coasters on my bucket list to go on since it has a Jules Verne steampunk look to it.
I loved the Haunted Mansion but my scooter died going up the hill to get the ride time. Also had a bloody nightmare with getting a ride access pass and staff were totally unhelpful. Would love to go back but with such an awful first day in March, I'm just not sure I'm up for it!
I visit Disneyland Paris frequently (I live in Germany) and as I am plus sized and in a wheelchair my "never again" experience was the Orbiton. A ride in Discoveryland, very similar to Dumbo but very small vehicles and you sit down very low on the ground and to get back up was nearly impossible for me. I thought I would have to ride this for the rest of my life 🤣
I’ve never been to any of the Disney parks can’t afford it one and also I’m in Texas so not really near one as I’m in the middle and travel right now with gas being so high it’s kind of a no go anyway. I've never been to Disney even though I really want to, I looked a while ago but it never happened. I looked at their access recently but now it seems you have to have a diagnosis on their approved list of conditions to get the access pass (and of course eds isn't on there) which has kind of put me off and seems a bit odd because it really wasn't a very long list so I'm sure many people that need it won't have something on that list. I might have missed something previous but that's how it seemed with what I was reading
Hi, I go to Disneyland Paris frequently. For this access pass, with which you go directly to the exit, you need any kind of official "paper" saying that you are permanently disabled. I'm from Germany and here we have a kind of ID card for disabled people. For the special pass that gives you come back times, you only need a doctors' note that states why you can't wait in line.
Yeah its a lot more complicated, but looks like Meike has helped you there. Also there is an amazing FB group which I will talk about in my next video who supported me with my questions. With out them I would have chosen the wrong pass.
In Disneyland @Anheim you get to experience the Haunted Mansion attraction from start to finish, when you approach the Doom Buggies as a wheelchair user they stop the ride and pull in a handicapped buggy I'll transfer go through the ride and at the end, my wheelchair is waiting. Remember don't forget to bring your death certificate!
Hi Mate Are you alright? I follow you on UA-cam. My names’s Carmen. I’m UA-camr too. I have a disability but I have a good life and I enjoy myself. Oh really??? I have zero guilt there. Tbh I don’t really think about it. We deserve to go on as much as anyone else. While I was on buzz, they had to stop the ride while we were on it. It just ment I could shoot the targets better. Same with the mansion. We got stopped during the ride, and it gave me a better look at the attraction. 🙂🙂
While I was getting on the Pays de Contes de Fées boat ride which moves continuously, it was stopped for a disabled rider to get on and we were actually SO grateful because my mum wasn't sure how she'd manage to get in the boat herself without losing her balance! So don't be guilty, you have every right to ride it and you might even be helping someone else out 😊 Even as someone who is fairly agile I don't really like getting into/off of those continuous moving rides
20:33 in video. ah. why in the world is that harry potter music in hear in background? Disney has no rights to anything hp or do anything with it. that is absolutely hp music. but like the vlogs. i have pots. prone to lot of issues when cant stand or walk long or far. may end up having to use wheelchair which really hate idea of. but if that comes to it, know where to look at videos on it and what to expect for places and day to day.
in 2015 I went to Disneyland in the USA I went on my own a charity called dream flight without my family. which the holiday eve I haven't been to Disneyland in Paris which I want go with my family. watched your video love I might do the same on my channel your video really inspiring I have a question how can you use the toilet without your husband or daughter. I'm an wheelchair used myself. I was get stared at the all the time. I was very insecure about I thought why can't I go a walk but I will walk eventually if the correct . I just needed that suppose from my family and friends I'm sorry this long comment love M cupcake this is my UA-cam channel x
The orginal Paris Space Mountain was one of the best rides on the planet. Then, they made this cheap "temporary" Star Wars overlay. Everybody wants the original "From the Earth to the Moon - Discovery Mountain" back. It was so, so, so much better!
Great video though I do not like Disney or rides! Must be a bit of a struggle to go against the hordes of people who are walking away from the ride and I guess you get and your family get strange looks why are you are going the opposite way, which might be difficult to handle,

👍👍👍
Disneyland in California does a pretty good job with Indiana Jones but it is still incredibly jerky.
Must be a bit of a struggle to go against the hordes of people who are walking away from the ride and I guess you get and your family get strange looks why are you are going the opposite way, which might be difficult to handle,
Yes it was a little tricky. But nothing Im not used to. Its just has hard as navigating busy shops in a wheelchair x
