I got the 7 string version of this guitar, and I'm loving it!
Petter Eriksson do your strings get all floppy using lower tuning? That's my only concern with getting the 7 string version with a 25.5 scale. I wish all 7 strings could at least be a 26-27 scale length

@@rohanjangam511 no, sorry i really only play guitar for my own benefit i don't upload my stuff, trust me tho you will not regret the guitar if you do buy one, i have looked at and played the newer model the transparent grey is the 2016 model and the white one is the 2018-19 model, my advice is if you can get your hands on one in a music shop and have a test run before you buy is the best option, people have playes my Ibanez and don't like the feel of the neck or the pick up in the guitar.

holy crap @1:00 sounds very reminiscent of Versailles from japan in my high school days. the same symphonic metal sound. was a very pleasent surprise. awesome review though!

Dude....Sky-high production/performance....for a demo! Love the neck/headstock. Looks like it's engineered to within a beesting..! And the bright , thick white binding contrasts really nicely against that grey wash ...with a classy splash of flame - not too much.
At least this one is not called RG DICKS, like the 7 string version.
Seriously, this guitar is on my sights, looks and sounds great (at least when Trey is playing).
5:12 this top end bell like chime (like a semi hollow) totally threw me off! I am impressed!
NOT have front dots is a BONUS. It looks cheap and less than with them. Block or side dots look so much better, to each their own though. I so wish the Prestige makers would adopt the no front dots, it really does look better without them and when you are playing, do you really need them anyway? Love your series btw, and music, awesome vids! Thanks,!
I just got an iron label series 8 string from 2014 it’s the best guitar I’ve ever had
Finally picked one of these bad boys…… gonna be installing a fixed lo pro in it from the Mick Thompson MTM1. Already loaded with fluences, this thing SCREaMS.
I used to really dog on the iron label range, never buying below prestige level but this guitar called me. Finally got it and am kicking myself in the ass for waiting for so long. Gonna get the newer iteration that is white, then installing an evertune in it :)

+Gear Gods I sure hope they are. As great as those dimarzios sound I ordered a set of alpha/omegas before seymour duncan stopped making them, and I'm definitely planning to put them in that guitar.
I like to see a real guy playing and explaining. I saw this up close at a SamAsh and I have owned a lot of acoustics, electrics and classical/flamencos. This guitar even at full $ is a helluva guitar.

I have one of these, love it, it rocks hard. Changed the neck pickup to a Dimarzio PAF Pro, however, as I found the stock pickup a little too dark in the neck position, and not different enough to the bridge pickup. The PAF Pro splits really well, too.

Does the white finish come in matte? If so does the matte turn glossy where your hand contacts the body?
I ordered on last week, absolutely loving it - couldn't be happier! I think the pickups sound great, but I will be throwing in a BK warpig or nailbomb in the bridge.

Awesome! So i just bought this guitar and I found the fret edges to be a bit rough, not like slice your fingers off but just enough to notice it's there. Did you experience the same thing?

holy fuck that intro I need this guitar
i'm thinking about getting the 7 string, and then putting in dimarzio titans. i played the jake bowen jbm20, that thing was awesome, so i was thinking about the jbm27. but the volume pot is in the wrong place for me, i don't want a trem, and i think the rgaix7fm looks better. does anyone know whether there's a major quality difference between them? on paper the rgaix7fm looks pretty much exactly like the the jbm27, but with every thing i don't like about the jbm27 fixed. salesman told me that the jbm27 is from a higher production tier though.
(super late reply i know) they are supposed to be similiar quality since both are made in indonisia
maybe kinda late but the jb is a 26.5 inch and this seven is just a 25.5. i have the sevenstring and i just run a 54 set with a 74 on top. i can go from B to G without a problem

I'm considering either this, or the Ibanez RGIT20FE. I mostly play metal, but I would like some degree of diversity. I like thin, fast necks and am used to a Wizard neck on my RG7321. Both guitars look great to me in terms of their finish, but I think maybe the IT20FE looks slightly cooler. I also am used to passive pickups, never used EMG's before so don't really know how I'd like them. Also, you mentioned in your IT20FE review that the neck was not very thin, but in this review you don't speak too much about the neck on the AIX6FM. Could you help me out a bit and let me know what guitar you think might be better?

Review is really great, I'm very keen to purchase the 7 string version. However that being said, I've watched a fair few videos on these guitar models and every single person keeps calling it a coil split, which it is not. It is actually a coil tap, which is an entirely different thing all together, however like I said you're not the first to make this mistake haha. The review of all the tones you can achieve from this guitar is great though :)
+Elliott Leigh It is a coil split. You coil tap single coils to get a lower output from the pickup and coil split a humbucker to get make it a single coil (kinda), hence coil splitting. Also, I have this guitar and there is no output difference when u flick the switch but it sure does get a whole lot janglier and spankier...like a single coil.

Heya, i got exactly the same guitar, its amazing. What equipment you got with it? i got an orange crush 20 amp, and it just doesnt sound metal enough. Am i doing something wrong or do i have to buy something else. Can you please help me with that.
