Honestly I was so lost about to cry because I couldn’t understand the concept the way the teacher was explaining it and then I came across your video and now I am flying through it!!! So thankful that you have made these videos as they are very explanatory and helpful 😊
Great and simple explanation. The comment I see so often of, 'You explained it much better than my teacher', makes me chuckle (and sigh) though. Most teachers in the classroom are decent teachers, BUT as a student in a class of 25, 30 or more there is a very different dynamic at play. These videos are great to supplement learning, but remember school is as much, if not more, about character education and socio-emotional development as it is about academic work. When students understand that, they may just realise the incredible work that classroom teachers actually do and that the supplementary work here is actually a compliment to learning, and not a replacement.
I agree. I am a classroom teacher with over 37 years of experience. In the "About" section on my channel, I state that "My purpose for the channel is that students will use my videos to help supplement what is being taught in the classroom. My videos are NOT intended to be the only resource students use to learn mathematics." While some of my videos are full lectures, most of my videos target a single skill, for quick homework help. I have also always attempted to teach each skill/topic in the most straight-forward simplist way that I can. I believe this is the best approach, especially, when teaching students who struggle learning mathematics. As a teacher of mathematics, I think it's important to remember that math does not come easy for everyone.
Ms Cole, thanks for this wonderful explanation I was able to understand and solve each and every question of daily practice problems with the help of your video.

What if a horizontal line makes different number of points of intersection when drawed at different places
hi!! thank you so much for this. I just want to ask, do vertical and horizontal lines tests have any similarities between them?
The similarities would be: If the horizontal or vertical line crosses the graph in more than one place, then the test fails.
Thank you so much for your help!
