      Now i really want to find a sapling for my tiny tree forest, along with pines and spruce.
      Sad my future kid's kids will likely kill em to be replaced by artificial ones, but eh, when im long dead i wont care anymore.

      If you grow them under optimal conditions they will be like old schermen in 100 years. In their natural environment they grow much slower due to lack of water, fighting for light, lach of nutrients etc. I have just planted a 3 cm giant seq seedling in my forest garden. Follow my channel and watch it grow:-)

      That's why I love tall ass annuals. Sunflowers especially. They just tower over you in months. Pines take patience which I lack haha but so beautiful especially in the snow

    this is pretty sick man! I have some sequoia seed and was wondering if they are capable of tolerating a zone 7b climate year round? And how often do you apply a feeding?

    • @howtogrowdragonfruitplant7849
      @howtogrowdragonfruitplant7849 2 роки тому

      Yes. Just protect them against the elements. They always need to have moist soil. In winter protect them against freezing wind. I have just planted a tiny seedling in my forest garden in Dalarna Sweden. Follow how it grows by subsc to my channel.

    • @johnwoody9505
      @johnwoody9505 2 роки тому

      If the whole green bit was chopped off of a giant redwood it would die. I had about 12 seedlings attacked by a rodent over winter when the seedlings were in a seed tray. All of the tree appeared to be gone but 6 had the smallest bit of green left, these had a bud formed and the trees grew on from there. they looked terribly lopsided and disfigured for the first year or two but recovered as normal after a few more years.
