+Potato Durp Now i really want to find a sapling for my tiny tree forest, along with pines and spruce. Sad my future kid's kids will likely kill em to be replaced by artificial ones, but eh, when im long dead i wont care anymore.
If you grow them under optimal conditions they will be like old schermen in 100 years. In their natural environment they grow much slower due to lack of water, fighting for light, lach of nutrients etc. I have just planted a 3 cm giant seq seedling in my forest garden. Follow my channel and watch it grow:-)
That's why I love tall ass annuals. Sunflowers especially. They just tower over you in months. Pines take patience which I lack haha but so beautiful especially in the snow
@@chrisgoldbach4450 ooh thats a cool way to look at it, I am more interested in plants that live more than a year, though. I might try to get into annuals more, just never liked em as much.
this is pretty sick man! I have some sequoia seed and was wondering if they are capable of tolerating a zone 7b climate year round? And how often do you apply a feeding?
Yes. Just protect them against the elements. They always need to have moist soil. In winter protect them against freezing wind. I have just planted a tiny seedling in my forest garden in Dalarna Sweden. Follow how it grows by subsc to my channel.
Hey Nice video. Would you be so kind and let me know what germination substrate have you used and if that contained vermiculite or perlite (as I can tell from you video) and most important if you undertook cold stratification of your seeds ? Thank you
Hi. Can tou please lell me how to seperate them. I had good succes with germination and now i have 2-3 in my pot. Please give information. I don’t want to harm them.
I planted my dawn redwood and coast redwood seeds but they don't seem to germinate. I heard people saying that they need to be kept in the dark, so I put the sowing tray in a complete dark place. I just surface-sew them. It's been a month since I stratified and sew the seeds. Any advice?
If you cut off the whole green part by accident would the stem live and keep growing ? ( 0:21 ) :( I accidentally ripped of the green head of one of my little stems
If the whole green bit was chopped off of a giant redwood it would die. I had about 12 seedlings attacked by a rodent over winter when the seedlings were in a seed tray. All of the tree appeared to be gone but 6 had the smallest bit of green left, these had a bud formed and the trees grew on from there. they looked terribly lopsided and disfigured for the first year or two but recovered as normal after a few more years.
Hello! thank you for the video. I am trying to grow the same specie Sequoiadendron Giganteum. Could you please inform me the temperature and altutitude where you planted them? thank you very much!
Thanks, I thought I did something wrong with my trees due to the slow growth rate as I'm only used to growing weed which you almost can see growing in real time. 😅
Always astonished by the power of evolution if given the time. If anyone has time please watch How to grow a planet, it is a documentary about the influence and power of plants
what i plan to do there's a field by me and there's all lovely animals all living on the field and its a prime bit of land for development i plan to plant Giant Sequoia all over the land where i'm from its a endangered tree so developers can't rip the trees down so the animals can live forever on their field.
What beautiful baby giants. Humbling to know that this is how such huge trees begin life.
I WANT TO CHECK BACK WITH YOU IN 500 YEARS TO SEE HOW TALL IT GOT , IF YOU DONT MIND THANKS
I second this.

7 years now so how big are they now ??
They're Dancing to the music.
It's hard to imagine that all huge trees started from a tiny seedling

This is the happiest music I've heard in my life.
Lmao
"WHAT IS THIS?? A SEQUOIA FOR ANTS?!?"
Come on game designers, get with it!
Nice quote by Derek Zoolander. Appreciated. 😂

The seed packet looks like it's from the Whatcom Seed Co. in Oregon. I've gotten some good seeds from them too.
Hi can we see an update????
I planted some giant sequoia tree seeds and when they sprout I will name one of them “baby general Sherman” lol
this music makes me want to dance my way up a Giant Seqoia!
funny how something so tiny someday will become gigantic.
That's what she said
@@robb8569hahahaha

Hey

Thank you
i amsolutely love timelapse plants. love to watch them dance :))
thanks for the video! I just got a Sequoia which is 20 cm tall. Will have to wait for a few thousand years. Fascinating imho
Love the quirky music!
I love how it looks like they're dancing together right after they sprout.
Dude this guy must become gigantic by now
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. They open their first 4 leaves and a week later, they die. :(
How often are you watering them and what’s their temperature?
I got three of them, looks like a little tree after one year
From this to driving cars thru them
thats actually the coast redwoods, no cars drive through sequoia because they are sorta rarer trees
Tip: Change speed to 1.5
why did the dirt change??
from watering
Cause it was magic dirt.
Thats really cool, but where did you get seeds? I've been looking everywhere for them!
Started at the bottom now were here.
Interesting, does it need stratification? I live in equator...
about how big r they now?
8 YEARS already? Wow.
Mach 8 yep 8 years im starting a company to involve with certian giant trees species
Imagine now
Assuming the grew at their normal rate, they would be anywhere from 20-30 feet tall now.
How big are they now??
Nice ! How are your sequoia trees doing today? I also grow them!!
how big are they 13 years later? video posted in 2009 now its almost 2023
Think about the ULTIMATE treehouse in 3000 years.
The music is. Perfect!
I guess if you plan on living for 3000 years, there's no need to get in a hurry when you're 4 months old.
Beautiful job.
the power of a seed. amazing
Lol awwww
What do they look like now 🤔
Did you have these under a light?
Love the music. Who is it? I want to buy it.
TruAgape1234 from gontiti gravity loves time album 1992
they look like dancing little palm trees lol
cute
Nice! I planted 18 seeds today. How much direct light did you gave them?
Hey!
Any progress?
Also can you explain me how you planted it ?
I have been dry cold stratifying my seeds for a week.
Hello! Please, help! How many water sequoia is need???
how often do you water these ?
Once it gets dry. With growing lights i would do once a day
What substrat are you using ?
hello 2009
life is absolutely the most amazing thing ever.
drinny26 hi
is it legal to bring seeds overseas?
Hi. Can tou please lell me how to seperate them. I had good succes with germination and now i have 2-3 in my pot. Please give information. I don’t want to harm them.
Hi, what grow light are you using ? T5 fluorescent or led ? 3400k or 6400k? THanks.
When exactly to plant into pot after germination of seeds ?
I'd love to buy some of these seeds 🤔
1 year down only 1999 years to go
That’s some groovy tree music
Lmao

Looks exactly like the cedrus deodara plus has the same growth rate.
Good luck with that. If it's not natural to the area, they might not have any legal repurcussions.
I just don't now how you put them in your garden after they break your POT!!!!
I have some pinus cembroides 3 months age. They are very small and grow very slow too. I think they will grow faster if they reach 3 years old.
Curious, have you some current pictures or video of the same trees?
they all stop growing at a certain point but they start making wood then later they will continius
How many days was this?
Как дела с растением? погибло дерево?

+Brian O'Hare did you put the seeds in the fridge for 10 days?
+King Salomo Not in the fridge. I put them in the soil and after 10 days they germinated. The heat killed them after two weeks unfortunately.
I just need to know, what is the correct temperature for the giant secouya to grow without any problems. Can anyone inform me please? Thank you all!
20-25 in my case
+King Salomo 20 to 25° Celcius?

Violent seedlings will not be tolerated !

And humans grow so fast 😂
