I miss 1989. Who knew that when we were living through 1989 we were living through the final year of what would be the greatest decade of our lives?
I could literally watch these all day long thank you for these classic video compilations 😀😀
Ha, this is great. And I had forgotten how TV ads during this period of time placed a very high emphasis on European accents to make everything sound more luxurious.
Brings back so many memories! I was born in 1981. I miss these commercials!
When Harry Met Sally remains one of my favorite romantic comedies, and ranks alongside the original City Slickers as my favorite Crystal film.
Turner and Hooch is in my top three of Tom Hanna films along with Big and Forrest Gump.
Uncle Buck one of my favorite John Candy movies . Uncle Buck is one of the reasons why we got Home Alone.
Loving this Summer 89 set. Turned 12 in July that year, and was about to start Sixth Grade and Middle School on August 28th, the day after the last batch of commercials In this volume aired.
Tbat's the kind of first day of school date I remember too, not after Labor Day like my parents or middle of August like kids do today. The middle of August is when college started in my day.
@@bethdibartolomeo2042 In my area the school year always started the Tuesday after labor day, and never before that.
Alberto VO5- It's heartwarming to see the bond between the two sisters in this ad. Especially in the end, when it looks like the older one is about to scold the younger one for using her shampoo and it turns out nice instead.
I miss that yellow Wendy's cup!
ah, it's sooo nice to watch these old commercials from the 80's & 90's. even now they're still so much better than today's crappy commercials.
Truth
Straight up garbage..
9:49 - That giant pancake always looked good to me as a kid.
Turner & Hooch may not be a great movie, but it’s stuck with me, and Hanks gets to show off his comedy (the improvised “stakeout” conversation with Hooch in the car), and dramatic skills at the end.
That ending always gets me.
To be around at a time when burger king was a luxurious restaurant lol
The Married with Children inclusion is generous
Berry's Appliance Warehouse - all he needed were a ton of refrigerators and washers/dryers behind him and he would be Arizona's version of Crazy Eddie!
7:07 I recognize the tune! It's "Deliverance" from "Antarctica" by the late Vangelis.
Lol with all these Beer commercials, no wonder why the parents were alcoholics🤣
15:25 that commercial for The Abyss was terrible, wow
2:58 😬
Haha I caught that too. Man it's crazy how different a time this was from today
With a record of 5-11, the 89 Phoenix Cardinals weren't really talking about...
