Now all the product jingles are gone, all the playful songs for individual spots are gone, the humor today is off-center and analyzed to utter banality out of fear of offending some demographic, the art direction is drab and animation has replaced location shoots and costumes and practical effects. The sheer terror induced by DEI apprehension has nullified both the working industry and the creative component from agencies to art directors. Technology made it possible to cut corners and cut costs so drones replaced cranes and copters and forced diversity mandates resulted in consistently implausible visual and thematic relational circumstances being portrayed on screen. Sure, diversity exists in innumerable forms, but if every couple or family or date or marriage depicted is interracial or etc etc etc - with a flipped minority over majority ratio, then the unmistakable taint of artifice dominates what is already a piece of advertising meant to push your buttons! In the attempt to accomplish multiple forced goals for each and every spot instead of just focusing on selling the specific product, ads have become relentlessly homogenous and immemorable.
